I grew up hearing "Coffee Klatch" used in English quite often although not recently. So, I would still be inclined to use "der kaffeeklatsch" in German without any concern, no matter what someone might say about me behind my back at a coffee klatch.
I thought it was just my ears! Granted, my hearing has taken a toll over the years but I can still hear fairly well so I was puzzled about whether my ears suddenly acted weird when playing this video or if others experienced it as well.
Interesting words, Dominik! My favorite is " verschlimmbessern", because I already knew it. In fact, several years ago, I wrote on the front of my workbench, " Verschlimmbessern hier!" 😄

I never got called a Trantüte. If I was lagging behind, my dad would yell “Mach schnell!”, followed by a thunderous single clap and the military command “double time” (which should be followed by the word “march” but I got moving before he could say it, b/c if I didn’t…I was in trouble 😂).

I didn't know "saubeuteln" as a verb but as a noun "der Saubeutel" as a dirty man (but I found out it could also mean a mean and cunning man). I still Like your videos.
