Godzilla actually had a potent healing factor pre-mutation! This was revealed in the novelization written by director Takashi Yamazaki, and was reiterated in post-film release interviews. The director says that Shikishima's plane's guns probably wouldn't have killed Godzilla due to this healing factor, and said healing factor was dramatically altered due the immense irradiation and burns incurred by "Operation Crossroads". And now that you've covered this exploration of post-WWII Japanese survivor's guilt as a kaiju film, you absolutely must cover the opposite end of the spectrum where humanity punches alien kaiju in the face with giant mechs in the glory that is *Pacific Rim* and everything it stands for! They also even use your contrarian caveman units, even though the Metric system is the most universal and actually understandable one.
I've been using Factor for quite some time now. It is a little pricey but it's more affordable than buying the junk food ingredients from the dollar store. Or ordering takeout.
The director has stated that Godzilla's pre-mutated form already had regenerative abilities, but the mutations from the bombs radiation basically cranked those abilities up to 11. When his body tried to heal itself from the radiation burns from the bomb tests, the mutations caused him to keep regenerating much more than normal, which is what made him so much bigger and stronger than before.
Actually it's the other way around as Pre-bomb Goji had extremely powerful regenerative abilities but the bomb nerfed those abilities. This came from said director.
@@skwisgarskwigelf7191 the japanese 20mm kinda sucked because it was low velocity and low penetrative power compared to other countries and what they used at the time, plus he probably had air-to-air ammunition loaded which would’ve meant it wouldn’t have done anything to godzilla. Even without his hyper regenerative abilities pre-nuke it wouldn’t have done anything to him but make him much more pissed off
Fun fact: the plane used for the final attack on Godzilla is a Kyūshū J7W Shinden. It was a prototype, and only two were ever built at the time. One was scrapped, and the other is partially on display at Dulles Airport. For whatever reason, they never put it back together or flew it after taking it back to the US. The one in the movie is a full-scale replica built by Toho Studios. The replica was apparently paid for by the Tachiarai Peace Memorial Museum, where it is on display.
J7W was pretty much Japan finally realising their mistake in not bothering to upgrade/replace the Zero in any meaningful way, unlike every other nation during WW2 which left the war with an airforce barely recognisable to their airforces at the beginning.
Hey Roanoke, I have a question for you. When we die and see a bright light, what if that bright light belongs to an intergalactic angler fish, attracting us towards it so it can consume our eternal soul.
according to the director, zilla had heightened regeneration, so it would’ve survived the plane cannons, since it also helped it survive the nuke, and reached the size it did due to overcompensating against the damage
@@chaosinsurgency6636 godzilla literally regening as he was being nucked which is already faster than his full sized form that needed more time to regen
@@awesomedonut8228 it’s worth mentioning that the Zero’s 20mm cannons would’ve likely been loaded with air-to-air ammo belts which have very little penetration power because they’re designed to explode the second they hit something (like another plane’s aluminum plating)
I love Godzilla's movement on land. It looks so robotic. It's like the brain is sending the right signals, but the connection glitches for a second or two. Makes it all the monstrous. Also, quick correction: The photos weren't of Shikishima's parents. They were of the mechanics and their families. The chief mechanic gave them as a means to give Shikishima extra-survivor's guilt. It's an important plot-point, because he wasn't gonna answer Shikishima's letters, so Shikishima sent him letters blaming him for the deaths of his subordinates to lure him out and beg him for help.
Good video, but a few things: -yes, the axe DID land on Godzilla’s face in GVK. HOWEVER, not only did it merely DAZE him, but it pissed him off more than anything (as it’s confirmed the hit bruised his ego as opposed to actually hurting him). Plus Godzilla in the Monsterverse is confirmed as his own thing and “special” and that the others were “Godzilla like creatures”. -Godzilla’s pre-mutated film is confirmed as Godzilla in the film, and he’s actually intelligent according to the novel. He doesn’t kill Shikishima because he didn’t provoke him (he knew the pilot was there) and had a symbiotic relationship with the Odo Island natives, as he brought them fish and the natives brought him food. -the firepower on Odo Island would NOT have killed the pre-mutated form, as that form DOES have regeneration. The director stated "Correct. Godzilla has been affected by radiation since Operation Crossroads in Bikini Atoll, but before that, Godzilla was unaffected by radiation and his regenerative ability was unrelated to radiation. "Correct. Godzilla has been affected by radiation since Operation Crossroads in Bikini Atoll, but before that, Godzilla was unaffected by radiation and his regenerative ability was unrelated to radiation. They [Godzilla's kind] are ordinary creatures, or rather monsters, that have nothing to do with radiation, and have extremely strong regenerative abilities. However, during Operation Crossroads, his skin was burnt by nuclear weapons and turned into a mess, but when he was regenerating it, he went out of control and became gigantic. [bitter smile]" -the official novel also dived into how his regenerative abilities is what saved him from the nuclear blast, but he mutated and couldn’t return to his previous form: “And in the sea near there was the same GOJIRA who annihilated the garrison of Odo Island. GOJRA was also consumed by the intense heat and radiation from the atomic bomb. His skin boiled and rolled up, his flesh was scorched, his eyes turned cloudy white... tremendous pain and suffering attacked GOJIRA. If he were a normal creature, he would have died long ago. However, GOJIRA was able to overcome this with his unique regenerative ability. Gradually, his body was regenerated while feeling tremendous anger towards the people who had brought him suffering. Even with GOJIRA's reincarnation ability, he was unable to regain his original form. The radioactive material that penetrated deep into the body surface caused error after error in the cells of the epidermis, changing its appearance to resemble that of a rugged rock. Its dorsal fin grew rapidly, and branches spread out in all directions like snowflakes. It formed layers, resembling oyster shells that had been living on the ocean floor for decades. すでに大きかった体は暴走したかのようにぐんぐんと巨大化し、それは以前の姿を遙かにしのぐ巨体と化していった。 Its already large body rapidly grew in size, as if it was going out of control, and it became a gigantic body that far exceeded its previous appearance.”
I’m calling cap on the first one. If the axe chopped through his leg, why couldn’t it go through his head especially from Kongs running jump? I think what happened is that Kongs axe absorbed the atomic breath and then released all that energy. That explosion is what sent both kaiju flying, not the actual strike.
That regenerative mutation was why he was still alive after the 4th Extinction Event 65 million years ago. Essentially immortal if he can regenerate limbs too the bane of excessive life spans are injury accumulation.
@@gojitsar7505 Godzilla in the Monsterverse also has a high regenerative ability (of course not as substantial as Minus One but it is there). At most that axe hit lightly hurt him as he is shown literally bodying Kong later on after the axe hit his leg (although it did cut him, it didn't reach bone so we can't really conclude the hardness of his bone, but it is likely as hard or harder than his dorsal plate). Also given that it is a supercharged axe and we clearly see that as it gets more supercharged it has a greater destructive capability, as seen in the fight with Mechagodzilla, likely a good supercharged blow to the head would break a bone. But not go through his head really. It did not cut through his leg cleanly and would likely not cut through his skull cleanly either especially since the skill is mostly bone. I agree that the axe was likely absorbing energy and releasing it at the moment of impact on Godzilla's head because although he is a different 'Gojira' the mechanism for the breath was likely the same. That really doesn't mean that a direct axe hit to Godzilla's head would kill him because it didn't, the axe was supercharged and hit his head. And he was only dazed. Godzilla after the fight sustained no major injuries other than a minor cut to his leg, and exhaustion. (ps. People really underestimate Godzilla's durability, he survived Ghidora dropping him from the stratosphere, got hit with multiple gravity beams and, in the comics survives and beats Muto Prime (who could cause earthquakes with her punches.))
@@TheVhangkhitha It didn’t reach bone when the axe wasn’t even charged, couldn’t we argue that a charged one could definitely do so? I don’t underestimate Godzillas durability, but if you establish that a weakened axe being able to slice through Godzillas skin and flesh like butter is more capable than a charged axe also established to be stronger than the base axe, that’s inconsistent in both power scaling and movie writing.
@@gojitsar7505 Godzilla is just extremely powerful, keep in mind this is the same Lizard that could take the Permian Impact and just Shrug it off, can't use Biology to explain that.
It's been stated that he already had the healing factor before he got Radioactive mutate also thank goodness it wasn't a Anglerfish that got muted one of the scariest godzilla ever especially in the water
And, reptiles heal in an almost ungodly manner. Yes, the airplane guns would've hurt. But, he's grounded and can only get off a few rounds before Godzilla simply moved out of the bullet's path. Godzilla would've been even more pissed off, and dude would become multiple dudes as he was ripped apart.
Fun fact, most non-avian dinosaurs did not actually have hallow bones. While some did, the largest dinosaurs like titanosaurs would not have been able to reach such sizes without solid bone. Instead, they're believed to have had air sacs throughout their body much like birds, which also allowed them to absorb more oxygen.
I like every new thing they learn about dinosaurs. It just makes them like even weirder than we ever thought. Like what the hell was even going on back then. Edit: This was a joke. Pls don’t explain the science to me, you fucking nerds.
Not true at all. Some had hollow and some had both hollow bones and air sacs. And I’m pretty sure hollow bones are an identifier for Theropods (like allosaurus)
This is just my own headcanon, but I believe that the reason why it absolutely had to be Mr. Tachibana (the mechanic) is because Shikishima didn't want to live with the things he had done, or didn't do. He had PTSD and was probably facing horrible depression, especially after seeing someone else die to Godzilla and believing it once again to he his fault. He didn't want to make it home after the final battle, and in his mind, Tachibana wouldn't want him to either. It would be easy, in his mind, to convince Tachibana to put in the kamakaze bomb without anyone else knowing, because Tachibana also wanted him to die for his inaction.
That is actually the reason it had to be Tachibana. He says (I think the night before the final battle) that it has to be him so he can make up for his cowardice on the island.
He says that Tachibana's war isn't over either. He felt some sort of kinship with him and felt that if he succeeded in kamikaze he could end both their wars as well
@@MajinObama I'm sure he understands what I said just as well as anyone else and elected to stick to making a joke instead of going into depth about trauma because it's not exactly his wheelhouse. It's also a major problem in modern cinema that people who are absolutely replaceable are treated as irreplaceable because of their connection to the protagonist, which probably led to him talking about it the way he did.
9:38 Those aren't his family members, those are the family photos of the other mechanics on the island. The guy who handed him the pictures was the mechanic that was still alive, he gave it to him to guilt him.
30:03 Reason for that whole exchange was because the director was specifically calling out the older Japanese government decisions - Kamikaze pilots were brainwashed with propaganda to die for their country citing Bushido and other honor related themes so that no one would question why the government was buying up airplanes with faulty ejection seats. That was it. That was the entire reason for the practice. Because their leaders wanted to shave off monetary costs at the cost of their citizens' lives. It's part of the movie's thesis about coming together as a community and saying FU to government types that don't actually pay the price the common man does with their choices. POLITICAL COMMENTARY GODZILLA IS *BACK* BABY!
"- Kamikaze pilots were brainwashed with propaganda to die for their country citing Bushido and other honor related themes so that no one would question why the government was buying up airplanes with faulty ejection seats. " No. ... OK ill elaborate. The doctrine choice to utilize the "Divine wind" was one made off of mathematics not short changing. Air attacks on US ships already had a near suicidal fatality rate for a pathetic excuse for a hit rate. Kamikaze pilots on the other hand had a much higher hit rate (at least when first adopted) in exchange for a hundred percent fatality rate. As a bonus the K-craft (not a actual term just convenience) could be made from any airframe, had a much higher maximum payload, and only required half the fuel, and didn't require fully trained pilots. The idea that it was based solely off Bushido is American bullshit. While it certainly was part of the BS sold to K-pilots the Japanese quite frankly didn't have the aircraft to throw away at the Americans without serious thought to their allocation.
@@simonnachreiner8380 Bro the idea I posited came from the director of the film - the mechanic himself goes on a rant about how angry he is about what his government forced his people to do. Take your American-centrism elsewhere cause it’s modern-day Japanese citizens calling out the failures of the past governments.

Nuclear spinal fluid being spat out with a death ray as a result of radioactive bones being superheated? That is, without question, much cooler sounding than just “laser breath”. Good thinking!
It's important to remember that Shikishima is dealing with not only heavy PTSD, but of tremendous amount of survivors guilt. That is the primary reason why he doesn't advance the relationship. People in those situations have a very hard time for forming long lasting relationships, compounded with feeling they deserve to be punished or they do not deserve to feel happy.
Bit of an asterisk point: it is revealed in the novelization of the movie that Godzilla did already posses his healing abilities, and that what allowed him to survive the bomb in the first place. Even if he didn't, if he survived a nuke why would a 20mm manage the job?
Why can a person get hit by a two ton car and live but a bullet drops them? Yes, the scale is wildly different but the basic principle stands. Piercing straight to vitals is more likely to be harmful than general external force.
@@IntrusiveThoughts838Not really. There are people who survived Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but that doesn't mean they are superhuman.Only near the epicenter would you get vaporized.
It didn't, he survived. It was stated by the creators and maybe in the novelisation that what Godzilla does is akin to reincarnation using his regenerative ability. He did get vapourised by the bomb, but he survived intact enough for his healing factor (essentially) to heal him back up fully. But since the radiation mutated him he could not reform to the same form and instead assumed a bigger more mutated form (similar to a full-on reincarnation). Also, a single bullet will kill less people than a two-ton car can, @@Blasted2Oblivion, a single bullet has more places to hit where the person survives than a car would per area which would likely crush an entire person. Statistically, you are more likely to die in a car incident than a gun assault (which usually involves more than one bullet). Also, a car impact is way more likely to hit vitals, because of a greater impact site. Of course, you can argue that the car didn't directly hit the vitals like how you could avoid the epicenter of a nuke, but then you could have to also apply that to the bullet and the 20mm. Godzilla was within the epicenter of the nuke testing site and was hit by the 20mm at their vitals, and they still survived on both occasions.
Hilariously I just finished watching this moving this morning and when they were talking about drowning him and then if that doesn't work, rising him back up for decompression, I was like "I need Roanoke to do a episode on this and tell me if that would actually work or not." So thank you YT gods lol.
I once sent a tweet to RoanokeGaming asking him to review The Cave and the monsters, and about a week later he posted a review of the movie. It was a funny coincidence, unless his continued war with angler fish have caused him to gain psychic powers.
First of all, I could see decompression being able to at least HURT Godzilla, at the very least temporarily shut him down while he's healing. Second on the topic of decompression, think we could Roanoke to cover Peter Benchley's Creature?
I float exactly like that except neck deep when I tread water as part of my exercise regime. The difference is that not only is he more buoyant and has different outer skin, I also don’t have a tail the length of my body helping to increase my buoyancy. It always drives me nuts when people make that claim about him sitting up in the water. I agree there would be some more motion, but other than that I don’t think it would be any problem to be at lower chest level as he’s floating and paddling beneath the surface .
Even more.. It's been confirmed Godzilla has always been able to change his buoyancyat will which is how he stands or walks in water any time in any movies.. It's a consistent thing.
There’s no true answer, only theories by fans. The original creator group has never given an official statement to explain how he stands up to his waist in very deep water. There’s no true canon explanation. Buoyancy is an implied explanation in Minus One.

7:06 So, Toho actually has a rule about Godzilla eating people. You are allowed to show him killing people in all kinds of ways but for some reason, you’re not allowed to have him eat people. Dunno why it’s a rule, but it is, and being a Japanese company, they’re probably not going to change the rule for about 300 years.

NGL the more I watch Roanoke's videos the more he gives off slight incel vibes. You can only hear the same jokes so many times before it starts sounding abit weird.
The cells Noriko was exposed to are G-Cells. While they might be cancerous, it also can explain why she didn't look so bad. Considering Godzilla's healing factor, that G-Cell might've helped her body recover faster than normal as a side effect. Not sure what you'd call a positive side effect to something cancerous or toxic like that.
25:20 Them not having other mechanics wasn’t an issue. They even told him “we can find other mechanics.” Shikishima wanted to mechanic from the island to help him as part of him redeeming himself
The piece of paper looking things he's handed is the family photos each of the casualties on the beach had been carrying on them. The other survivor blamed Kōichi's inaction for their loss, so gave him the photos so he would see the families left behind. The photos are just bundled up in some kind of folder or folio or something.
The spines shifting up remind me of a nuclear reactor's control rods. When they move up, the reactor releases more energy. When they go down, it scrams and stops producing so much.
Ok, hear me out: > Not-Girlfriend gets infected with Godzilla's cells > The G-Cells cause her to mutate > ??? > We get a Godzilla version of Sarah Kerrigan, post-zerg infestation, as an end result. That, or she develops some type of link with Godzilla, and she and her descendents end up being protags in later movies. I can't be the only one to hope for scenario one, right?
thought of that too, I can see her actually living a long time because of the G-cells and kind of becoming like the shrine maidens to mothra but only for Godzilla. I also can see the other parts of Godzilla after the explosion becoming their own monsters (Angirs, and such) which is how we get "king" of the monsters
From what I understand, it has been brought up that Minus One Godzilla, I can't speak for the other iterations, actually does have something similar to a swim bladder, allowing him, to some degree, control his buoyancy while treading water in an upright position.
Or he just floats and paddles like crocodiles do, or even we humans do. It has 2 massive legs and a Tail that makes 70% of his body, why is it too complicated for some peoplle to understand that he floats?
6:14 I dont mean to be that guy, but.... it was stated that the Axe was overloaded from Godzilla's atomic breath. And right before Kong makes contact with Godzilla's head, you can actually hear an explosion. The argument can be made that that could be the sound of the axe making impact, but the fact that everything went white, before the 2 were sent flying in opposite directions, leans more towards the fact that the Axe was just overloaded with energy. Remember, Godzilla had also blown a decently-sized hole all the way through to the Hollow Earth, so he was probably still somewhat supercharged following that blast for a bit
5:56 I would like to point out the axe reaches maximum energy capacity and explodes just before it hits Godzilla, which is why they're both sent flying back and Godzilla is stunned longer. It never makes contact with his head, just almost. Had Kong been a little faster, the fight might have ended there.
Not really. When Kong stabbed Godzilla in the leg, it wasn't that deep a cut. Add to that the greater strength of Godzilla's skull, and he would have survived no matter what.
0:18 That wouldn't be the last time Hanna-Barbarra worked on a Japanese IP. They also tried with an Ultraman animated series at one point. Got a movie pilot, but it never got picked up for syndication.
consider this, Godzilla pre irradiation already had extraordinary healing factor, but after the bomb, its goes 120%, slowly turning him into the lizard we all love
On a side note... i hate when people think Godzilla couldn't exist irl due to weight and stuff, completely forgetting unique radioactive mutations. Godzilla most likely has something extremely unique to him in order to survive on lamd without being crushed by its own weight. Kinda hard to explain through text alone.
These 'mutations' would have to be capable of magic. Even if his skeleton was made of titanium it would collapse the moment he moves a muscle. Even if his muscles were hydraulic rams made from titanium they would destroy themselves under the strain. Basically, it is literally impossible because of the weights involved. Think about a skyscraper. They are made from very strong materials BUT they are hollow and they do not move. The moment you tried to lift a skyscraper and move it around it would crumble. When something gets 2 times bigger, it weighs 4 times as much but its muscles and bones won't even be 2 times stronger. If you have a guy that is 5foot weighing 200lbs and make him 10ft and proportional... he will weigh 800lbs but his bones and muscle won't even be twice as strong. If you make the 10ft guy 20ft he weighs 3,200lbs but his muscles and bones are less than 4 times stronger than the guy that was 5ft. If you repeat that process you very quickly get into numbers that are ludicrous. E.g. if the 200lb 5ft guy can lift 100lb... at 160ft he weighs 204,000lbs and can only lift 3,200lbs (his body would literally collapse into mush).

Dinosaurs did not have hollow bones. It's actually assumed they had air sacks, much like birds to counter the weight and awkward stature. These air sacks ran from their throat area to the torsos. some even think they had air sacks in their tails.
One example for effects of G-Cells can be seen in the 3-Part Netflix animated series. The facts that he was stuck with his not-girlfriend and their not-kid and repeatedly having to deal with a monster haunting him all really helps his thought that he already died.

Fun fact godzillasaurus actually still had the regen before any mutations occurred being the reason he survived the nuke being dropped directly on him so yeah The 20 mm guns would’ve not done anything to him
To be fair on his regeneration, the director stated it was what allowed him to survive for millions of years. The fish according to the novelization surfaced from the deep to kill themselves in fright of Godzilla. But they were gifts to the people of Odo Island as they had a symbiotic relationship with Godzilla through gifting him to. As well, must note this, in the Novel it's stated Godzilla knew Shikishima was in the plan. Him not shoot him was the reason he survived, same for Tachibana. But to be fair, they aren't specifically told in the movie so we'll just leave the Novel out of this.

Made sense goji saurus had a regen factor already or he wouldv been cooked when those nukes exploded

Good video, but a few things:
-yes, the axe DID land on Godzilla’s face in GVK.
[bitter smile]"
-the official novel also dived into how his regenerative abilities is what saved him from the nuclear blast, but he mutated and couldn’t return to his previous form: “And in the sea near there was the same
GOJIRA who annihilated the garrison of Odo Island.
すでに大きかった体は暴走したかのようにぐんぐんと巨大化し、それは以前の姿を遙かにしのぐ巨体と化していった。
Its already large body rapidly grew in size, as if it was going out of control, and it became a gigantic body that far exceeded its previous appearance.”

It would probably stick to water so you are only screwed if you are on a boat
@@DinoRickyit’s actually even faster than post mutation, it was how he survived the nuclear testing by constantly healing the damage done to his body

No.

It didn't, he survived. It was stated by the creators and maybe in the novelisation that what Godzilla does is akin to reincarnation using his regenerative ability.

Ok, hear me out:
> Not-Girlfriend gets infected with Godzilla's cells
> The G-Cells cause her to mutate
> ???
> We get a Godzilla version of Sarah Kerrigan, post-zerg infestation, as an end result. That, or she develops some type of link with Godzilla, and she and her descendents end up being protags in later movies.
I can't be the only one to hope for scenario one, right?
something like Miki Saegusa and the psychic kids from the Hesei era
something like Miki Saegusa and the psychic kids from the Hesei era
thought of that too, I can see her actually living a long time because of the G-cells and kind of becoming like the shrine maidens to mothra but only for Godzilla. I also can see the other parts of Godzilla after the explosion becoming their own monsters (Angirs, and such) which is how we get "king" of the monsters
Or she combines with a plant and we get Biollante -1
@@normalhuman9878 Plant GF??? you can't keep me away from the venus flytraps forever!
I noticed in the scene when godzilla walked through the countryside, he was missing skin around his ankles and you can see bone.
The anglefish slander needs end. Love how people forget that that Roanoke was all about the moon spiders 😂
E.g. if the 200lb 5ft guy can lift 100lb... at 160ft he weighs 204,000lbs and can only lift 3,200lbs (his body would literally collapse into mush).

guys, guys, cant we all agree that big monkey and big lizard are both pretty cool? Who cares who won they had a great fight and bodied eachother, pretty terrific scene
One of the few Godzilla movies where I was actually invested in the human characters' story. Holy shit the actors nailed their roles!
Man, this movie hit so hard in the feels. Im loving that Roanoke is loving Gman. Getting closer to him, covering Heisei Godzilla and other Kaiju movies.
Only 19 views in a minute? We gotta get those numbers up. And finally, Godzilla Minus One was excellent.
Ain't no way after 5 years of watching Roanoke, I am now learning he's a kong enjoyer... I'm gonna have to pause the video for a 2 hour break before coming back to finish this.

@@GoldenWolf115 The origin of Biollante is an infection of a young woman with G-cells. The Minus One reboot has already changed the origin of Godzilla a bit so I don't see why they wouldn't take a few liberties with Biollante as well.
@@GoldenWolf115 Oh, and also Toho has stated they want to continue with their own Godzilla universe. Translation: reboot Godzilla, reboot the sequels, reboot the Kaiju.
6:45 the novelization says that he had regeneration in this form. As for not eating the people, Toho has very specific rules on Godzilla being that he cannot die unless he has an heir and he CANNOT eat people
When it comes to godzilla floating I like to think its like an alligator when it floats above the water. Or a human treading on water.
The 24:30 "hoodie" is an older slicker style welders apron. Its briefly shown in previous clips, but is very much an actual kit worn by Japanese welders.
Dinosaurs did not have hollow bones. It's actually assumed they had air sacks, much like birds to counter the weight and awkward stature. These air sacks ran from their throat area to the torsos. some even think they had air sacks in their tails.
They definitely did have pnuematized bones in addition to air sacks
Many dinosaurs did have 'hollow bones' (not all).
I choose to believe Godzilla stands up by treading water like an Olympic synchronized swimmer.
No! No! No! He is not just called Zilla in his first form! He's still called Godzilla
If anything, it should be Godzillasaurus
One example for effects of G-Cells can be seen in the 3-Part Netflix animated series.
Though I can't remember all the details here are a few:
Throughout the Attacks some kind of Godzilla radiation sickness spread, humanity left earth for about 10,000 years with several issues along the way, returning to discover nature forcing various adaptations to Godzilla's genetic/environmental imprint.
Ok let's get somethings straight
1) it's been confirmed that shikaizima plain bullets wasn't gonna kill th Godzillasaurus cause of his regeneration. If he can survive a nuclear bomb then a few bullets can't kill him
2) don't bring logic in a godzilla movie if the movie says he can walk or run on land no matter how big he is then he can no matter the version
3) sorry dude but kong lost to godzilla you gotta deal with it.

There's an analog horror series that follows a godzilla virus which takes inspiration from shin godzilla and those humanoid creatures that were on the big Zs tail
14:30 the implication later is that he's bobbing up while treading water, seeing as how his lower half is much larger and more massive. This might make for other problems of course.
This is so cool. Your shin godzilla video is how i found your channel!
Hope you enjoy this one too!
@@RoanokeGamingBTW I think Godzilla "stands" in the water with something akin to a swim bladder. Kind of like the organ a fish uses to raise and lower in the water.
@@ARGONIAN61Maybe the tail is like a reverse float bladder, filling with something heavier than air while float bladders in his pelvis/thigh-area and thus letting Gojira float upright like a giant bobber by literally using his tail as a weight.
@@thatwaffleguy4958 That would make sense and help account for the fact that he stays upright with no trouble.
Love the implication that during the ocean scenes Godzilla is treading water like mad to stay above the surface of the water. Calm and sinister on the surface, treading his leggies like a duck beneath.
I know people are going to point out a lot of things you seemingly misunderstood from the film
But I want to try!
Those weren't pictures of his family, the item handed to him on the boat was all the photos of the families of the mechanics that he "let die"
Kinda like a final "fuck you" from the lead mechanic of the island.
Cursing him in a way.
And we were just shown that "curse" in effect.
(PTSD is a bitch on its own but it don't help having flash cards of guilt lying around)
There's a lot more goofs and I'm only 9 minutes in, but I'll let everyone else have a go instead 🦆
Ty for going over Godzilla, I love Godzilla!
Also with the axe bonk, it did indeed hit the silly lizard, but Godzilla was going full tilt with his atomic breath, so idk if Kong was able to land a clean enough/strong enough hit against all that resistance to deal much more than a permanent scar.
That is just my opinion tho.
He didn't actually understand the nuance of the movie, or he's being willfully obtuse and ignoring cultural significance. He's interjecting a bit heavy handed with all the boy shit with the simp, chad crap. I know he's trying to relate to the kids but it's starting to sound a bit forced coming from a man in his thirties.

The Island rule wasn’t correct in this video.
