You are a dude running into the Library of Alexandria while the books are burning rescuing the botany scrolls. Thank you for setting things straight with all the false Blue Lotus out there.
I so appreciated the fact you connected each photo with each measurement! This was awesome. I don't know how many times I've looked at measurement information and because they didn't have the picture to correspond I wasn't quite sure if I was measuring the right place. I think all college botanists should watch this. It's a perfect 101 class supplement. Once again, well done.
So glad you made this video. I grew the real plant and that's the only way I learned to tell the difference but it's great to see it broken down like this. Now if only we could find a source for dried flowers...
Very detailed, excellent, but very underrated which is unfortunate because based on what's on the market, these vendors (& possible botanists) seem to have not deciphered the difference between the them.
Your details are greatly appreciated as I am making a sugar paste flower for a Nubian project. Understanding the features with measurements is important to recreate it correctly. Thank you
I think that the 'real' Nymphaea caerulea has a very subtle beauty that I like. The Egyptians pictured them on everything, so they must've liked them. I know that almost all the so-called 'Blue Lotus' vendors are not caerulea.
I work in ecosystem pond building as a rock artisan (former pro geologist) and just ordered your seeds of this. Grown a lot of lily's and lotus over the years and can't wait to try and grow these. I am in zone 6a (BIG YIKES) but I will move these in for the cold months. Eventually I will have a greenhouse pond with this planted. I also plant on building a hoop house over my row of caerulea to help them out in the winter. Can a cold(er) tolerant variety be found? Who knows but I am crazy enough to try it the rest of my life
Hi my friend I’m trying to order the seeds but it constantly says my cart is empty.. is there anyway I can get hold of the seeds without the website? Best regards
Has anyone got an answer to what the third lily is as that’s what I’ve been consuming and I can’t lie I’m really concerned as it’s not what they promised. And even so I still got a strong high off it
hahahahaha "is anyone still watching" Thank you for the info! I just started working with Lilly and Lotus plants and I cant find the real Nymphaea caerulea anywhere.... Is it possible to buy from you? I live in sweden
@@Lorreine.222 I got them from Electric Veg's Etsy shop in the description. I think it was around 15 bucks. What you got was almost certainly not Nymphaea Caerulea, but grow those suckers out anyway! I still haven't germinated my seeds cause I'm still searching for someone with the right pond, but I'm working on it.
Well done. Enjoyed your comprehensive analysis. Maybe you could be a little more thorough next time and talk about the aromatic qualities.🤪😂. Just jokes. thanks for sharing your knowledge.

i'm creating a botanical illustration of this plant and this has been tremendously helpful, i've rewatched at least a dozen times! thank you!

"Is anyone actually still watching?" Lol honestly thank for all of this.
Legend. I never comment on videos but this needs all the algorithm love.
Wow! You did such a great job showing all of the plant structure and all. Thank you for dumbing it down and making it N. Caerulea 101!!

Thank you finally someone explained this correct. 🎉

this was such an incredibly produced video. thank you for your work
This was a GREAT video, and yes! I was still watching. I couldn't find detailed information on the fruit ANYwhere, so thank you very much.
You are a treasure. This is great work!
Excellent, very thorough. Its reassuring someone somewhere is passionate enough to do this

Great description of a fantastic waterlily! IWGS will be glad to have you on board!
Incredibly helpful video. Very knowledgeable and covers just about every basis. Thank you
amazing video
You don’t how much this helped me❤, thank you so very much for your informative video.
Still desperately finding its seeds in Japan though 😢
WOW! Thank you, SO much!
Thank you for including the complete taxonomy. I'm sure it will prove useful to many as time passes.
The ending was great! 😂
Where do we get an authentic specimen to grow❤
Thailand. I found mine
@@aimanhazeem7852 I found the same, did you get dried or a live specimen? How did it/ is it going if so?
You are a FKIN legend

It's kind of like soda vs a fruit
Hey any update for this year I’ve been following your work and you are amazing! Did you manage to grow more?

How many seeds does one nymphaea caerulea have in it?
So, what plant do you believe is depicted in ancient Egyptian literature? Is it Nymphaea Ampla?
Bro please make a video on "why most natural intoxicants are in purple/blue colour"😊
there are many beautiful blue water lilies out there but there is only one N. caerulea. I think some may be mutations from the original caerulea.
Sorry, can I ask a question, anybody here used true Nyphaea caerulea ?, Is it working or effect the same people discribe
Keep up the great work! Have you ever thought of researching Asimina triloba (paw paw) germination?
Oooo that does look intriguing. Pawpaw has morphophysiological dormancy. So... expect a video on that in a couple of years 😅
If anyone out there has a source for the authentic plant, please let me know
Hi my friend I’m trying to order the seeds but it constantly says my cart is empty.. is there anyway I can get hold of the seeds without the website? Best regards
Hay mate, I’m in Australia wondering if I’d be able to buy some blue lotus seeds off you, would love to cultivate them here in auz
Any luck finding any? I want some and I can’t find any
Hii.... We have got a very similar one here in India.... The only difference is that the blue streak on the carpel are present but less... Any ideas?
Ok so the real question that everyone what's to know. Where can we get then?
Has anyone got an answer to what the third lily is as that’s what I’ve been consuming and I can’t lie I’m really concerned as it’s not what they promised. And even so I still got a strong high off it
Good question ... I'm asking that myself ...
can you make a video about Nymphaea nouchali
Anyone know of a seller for the real blue lotus?
Where can I find this? I don’t see any selling
Do you have any seeds for sale? Or dried flowers....I've been trying to find the real ones
hahahahaha "is anyone still watching"
Thank you for the info!
I just started working with Lilly and Lotus plants and I cant find the real Nymphaea caerulea anywhere....

I found ur Etsy store, thank you again I cant believe I got it
I can’t see his Etsy store! Do you have the name?
Thank you dear teacher. I have used your guidance and bought me real egyption blue from thailand farm omg
welp I got the Nymphaea part right at least.
Sameeeee
@@Lorreine.222 I finally tracked down seeds of this recently!
There's a pretty good chance I'll mess up the germination but it's still very exciting.
@@Kid_Ikaris that lit asf bro, how much were urs cause mine were $3 and they have bad reviews💀 also I hope they grow really nicely 💜💓💓
