It’s very interesting!! I would love to see more lightning shirt in the future! It seems much more surprising when you open it as opposed to other designs. Cool!!
The technique of letting the dye just flow into the shirt but not totally color 100% of it is lovely. Using different setups and draping to achieve that effect is what experimentation is all about. This is a really cool looking effect. I agree it's not quite what the intention was with a lightning look, but the result is pretty none the less.
I made a lightning shirt with the hot water irrigation I did two lines also thinking I might get a lightning bolt they were too close to gather it looks like a fault line I like your shirt turned out great😁✌️
I've made another lightning dye where I actually drew the lightning on the shirt and fan folded it. It turned out cool too, but a bit more like a zig zag rather than lightning. ua-cam.com/video/R6xpCBj4BgQ/v-deo.html
I love it! I remember hearing you say it is hard to place the dye down in the pitcher. What about putting soda ash and dye mixed together in a squeeze bottle to help with that? Just a thought.
After your last lightning one, I also tried the offshoots the way you did here. It worked, but my colors around it were washed out so it didn't pop. I like this and I thought snake too. But I love snakes so I might be biased. I wonder if you could do the pleats far away from the diagonal line like this but do fewer of them. Maybe that would work.
A lot of the lightning dyes I've seen use softer colors that are more washed out and I think they look really cool. They usually have a lot of color splits - did yours? I think it would probably work better to actually draw the shape that I want for the line and fan fold it that way. With actually pleats instead of just picking up areas on the shirt. The loopy part on this one was the area in between each of the spots I picked up and held in my hand.
@@FunEndeavors Mine didn't have color splits because I liquid dyed it instead of ice. I was trying to do a light color next to the white so it would give that lit up effect but it just was too close to the white.
You've created the first snake head corkscrew, Angie. 😁 I think it's really cool. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! 😊 That's a great description for it!
I did not expect that result. You definitely got yourself a snake, very interesting!
Me either. It made me laugh when I saw the snake in the middle.
I got the snake vibe immediately on the reveal.......... and saw the head as you were pointing it out. lol
Awesome - I think that kind of looks cool on the shirt. An added bonus.
I can see a pair of slender lips with stylized eyes in a misaligned dark mask above the snake's head. Lovely, ambiguous!
Thank you!
Definitely a snake! Very very cool!
Thank you so much! 😊

Thank you - they are fun to do!
looks like angry waves to me. the colors looks great.
That it does!

Thank you! I've been having fun with gravity dyeing. The possibilities are endless, and the dye movement is so fun!

That's a great idea though! Have a great weekend! 😀
That came out very cool - love it!
Thank you so much!
like how it fans out at the bottom..thanks for sharing
Thank you - that's my favorite part too.
Thanks for the experiment. I suspect you'll be trying a version of this again.

That's a really good suggestion - thank you!
Love it 💕

@@amandagermany5933 Gotcha!
Angie what about using a pipette to place the dye?
That's a really good idea - I never thought about that.
What string do u use
I use an artificial deer sinew. Here is a link to the one that I purchase: amzn.to/2EF28Lu
