Anakin vs Obi Wan and Darth Vader's Birth: Revenge of the Sith Soundtrack

- Here is probably the most accurate movie representation of the Anakin and Obi-Wan duel in Revenge of the Sith.
All rights go to John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra, I do not own anything seen in the video and claim no rights to anything here, I only changed a few things to make it movie accurate.
i can hear every word spoke, every saber clash and i can hear myself crying
Easy on fella

That's what true star wars fans do bro
Crying because you don't have a life? Lmfao okay okay I'm sorry I don't actually mean that I just had to make that joke. I'm like that when I listen to this stuff too ;p
3:00 When "Anakin's Betrayal" starts playing, you know the point of no-return has been reached. Not even Padmé could change his disposition. Anakin is no more, only Vader. And all hope is lost.
Despite we all knew the outcome of this duel, watching this movie at the theater back in 2005 was a truly unforgettable experience.
That's "A path I can't follow"
I saw it in theaters too back in 2005 when I was 5 and OMG I'll never forget it.
It’s when Padme has realized that the man she loved is gone
I was only 5 and yet i remember the movie from the movie theaters vividly the lava litterally taking up the entire screen
when you are the 69th like

Alternate Title for this song:
The Last Battle Of The Republic/Rise of a Galactic Empire... And A New Hope
Chilling
I grew up as a young kid with Anakin as my Luke Skywalker if you will. He was the main character, the hero, he was the chosen one, the strongest Jedi as far as I knew. Outstanding in just about everything he was and it wasn’t until much later I watched revenge of the sith after the clone wars cartoon and all of the other Star Wars media and bam. It is heartbreaking to see your childhood hero kill his wife, fight his friend and lose everything only to be left burning in agony. I don’t see Vader in this fight, I see Anakin only and it gets me every time.
Anakin didn't kill Padmé. It was probably Sidious. We know he can influence the midichlorians because that's how Anakin was born.
@@piyo744 in order to keep Vader alive, he had to drain Padme of her life force
@@piyo744 i thought she died of sadness
@@piyo744 wow you really think it was him? I’m surprised I never heard this before but it makes sense… a lot of fucked up, sociopathic work went into creating Vader, like purposely giving him a shitty, painful suit, but him actually killing Padme explains the sort of glee he was holding back when he told Vader, Vader snapped, and Palpatine couldn’t hold back the pure giddy awe at his creation any longer. Kill the one person Vader had left to life for and he’s all yours.
Well said. That's why this movie is still my favorite
Hearing "Duel of the Fates" return in theaters when this movie came out may 19, 2005 was such a surprise. It wasn't even in the soundtrack. I mentally went "YES" when I heard the intro and it cuts to Yoda vs Sidious, the whole theater was silent (as it should be. You do NOT talk or cheer or scream over John Williams music, it is blasphemous) but you could FEEL the aura in the auditorium that everyone was so pleased and hyped.
You described exactly my same thoughts backthen and when I re watched this in a cinema theater last year.
"as it should be. You do NOT talk or cheer or scream over John Williams music, it is blasphemous"
I don't agree, 'Blown to Bits' from JAWS was likely meant to be cheered over given a literal explosion ends the conflict and the song expands past that into relief.

I grew up when these had just finished and the Clone Wars were my childhood. To have seen them all and now understand it... It may be my favorite movie in the series, but Revenge of The Sith is the hardest for me to watch. Because I've been there.
I've watched as all the hate made me lose everything. And I can't help but feel for Anakin. I only hope that after Episode VI he found peace and Padme in death. After what he went through, the man deserves it.

Its not just Anakin vs Obi or the last Battle between good or evil( I know its not the last Battle, but the last Battle in Episode 3), that decides is evil going to be spread out forever or is there still some hope for lightness left. Its a musical masterclass.

This is from the revenge of the Sith videogame I remember fondly playing it when it came out and I completed the story mode in less than a week
5:03-19:08 while I love every dramatic song John Williams has EVER composed for a film (Star Wars Main Title, themes for Rey & Darth Vader, Raiders March for Indiana Jones, main themes for Jurassic Park/Schindler’s List, main theme/Promenade/Out to Sea/Man Against Beast/The Great Shark Chase/The Shark Cage Fugue/Blown to Bits from Jaws, etc.), the entire Anakin vs. Obi-Wan/Battle of the Heroes suite from Revenge of the Sith is my all-time favorite (as well as the entire Battle of Endor suite from Return of the Jedi and The Force is With You/Finale from The Rise of Skywalker). I hum to the tune every time I listen to it, and I play it during battle sequences from television shows (Dark Shadows, Scooby-Doo, Stranger Things, Once Upon A Time, etc.) & other films (Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Jurassic World: Dominion, The Black Stallion, various Godzilla films, etc.), other Star Wars films (The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Force Awakens), and other John Williams-scored films (Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Jaws, Home Alone, etc.)
Battle of heroes and duel if Fates is one of the best moments in star wars history no doubt
Be honest when duel of the fates started playing you got hyped as shit
nah. only when battle of the heroes came on
Duel of fates goes hard but battle of heroes is some other level kind of score
What would Star Wars be without John Williams?
I so remember going to see Revenge Of The Sith the weekend it came out. My sister got married 21 May then after her wedding reception I stayed at a friend's and we went to see it. The Obi Wan Anakin duel is one badass fight and I waited 22 years since I saw Return Of The Jedi two decades prior and was 9 years old in 1983 and I was 30 soon to be 31 when Revenge Of The Sith came out. Waiting for the Obi Wan Anakin duel was worth the wait and now since I have Revenge Of The Sith I can watch it anytime I desire
This soundtrack is actually just an opera composure. This kicks the hell out of any sequel movie alone.
The scary part about all of this is that we have just listened to about a quarter of the movie soundtrack here

Anakin: You will not take her from me!
Obi-Wan: Your anger and lust for power have already done that. You have allowed this Dark Lord to twist your mind until now... until now you have become the very thing you swore to destroy.
Anakin: Don't lecture me, Obi-Wan! I see through the lies of the Jedi! I do not fear the Dark Side as you do! I have brought peace, freedom, justice, and security to my new Empire!
Obi-Wan: YOUR new Empire?
Anakin: Don't make me kill you.
Obi-Wan: Anakin, my allegiance is to the Republic, to democracy!

Man, the posters may have been oversaturated with characters, but look at Mustafar at the top over everything, and the use of fire and lava across the poster itself. Anakin Skywalker dies on Mustafar, and when you rewatch it the events on Mustafar loom over every moment of levity and shared smile the characters have; just like on the poster.
Too bad the medical droid didn't say like in the comic book version and the novel- "my lord, the construction is finished- he lives."

STARWARS EPISODE III
REVENGE OF THE SITH
16:40 A little fun fact about _The Immolation Scene_ is that it was inspired by the crucifixion of Jesus. The music is merely identical to the crucifixion music from _The Passion Of The Christ_ . When you think about it, the two tales almost match. When Christ came, humanity had stopped following the will of God. In Anakin’s universe, he is the Chosen One. The Jedi became corrupt and had stopped following the will of the Force. In a way, this is Anakin’s crucifixion (the suffering he’d have to endure for the rest of his life in order to bring balance to the Force). It’s as if John Williams has witnessed history. He truly is the greatest composer who’s ever lived.
