I’m so relieved to see a professional do it in this order! I always have, but have been told I’m doing it wrong. But I figured, first you conceal. It always seemed more logical! Thank you for another high quality, instructional video. Also your natural skin is next level❤
I always thought this too! It doesn't make sense cause concealer is SO BRIGHT! So putting it on top on foundation is just, so jarring for me. Having it below the foundation seems to make it blend in way better and darken it up just that little bit.
It never fails to amaze me how great Nina is in explaining why steps should be taken in a certain order. Simple straight forward. Love the tutorial videos and always look forward to the next one.
Hi Nina. Another great video. Love the way you simplify makeup application. You taught me a lot. I am an Indian woman who is soon to be 65 with far from perfect skin and I have learned a lot by watching your channel. Please keep them coming 👏👏❤️
I LOVE your tutorials! Your explanations and tutorials have really made me realize I need to slow down and not only enjoy the experience but use the right techniques and products.❤😊
Yes, I always follow that technique when I do my makeup, before your channel I always did my foundation first then apply concealer lol 😂 now I know the correct order of it thanks to Nina again! ❤
I learnt this technique watching your tutorials Nina and I am getting so confident applying makeup which I never had. Thank you for another great video. Much ❤️
Hi Nina, I just wanted to say that I really love your videos and as a woman who also has dark eye bags, seeing you not blur that area out makes me feel a lot more confident and less "alone" if that makes sense. My dark undereyes have always been my biggest insecurity and every time I look in the mirror it's the first thing I see, making me feel very depressed. They are genetic and I just have very little fat in that area so no creme will ever get rid of them. I have friends with no dark undereyes and I've always felt I stood out in a bad way. So seeing another gorgeous woman who has them and isn't afraid to hide them makes me feel a lot better. I'm still practicing makeup and watching your videos helps so much. Thank you for everything you do 🩷🩷🩷
I think you only get that line of demarcation between your undereye concealer and foundation if you use a concealer that is incredibly light. I use a concealer that's only 1 shade lighter than my foundation. It does a wonderful job of brightening my undereyes, and there is no obvious line where it ends and the foundation begins. The problem with the technique you demonstrated is that I have fine lines in my undereye area, and applying foundation over my concealer in that area accentuates the lines. A thin application of concealer is the most product my undereyes can handle.
I started doing it your way and it looks amazing!! I never used setting powder either.. i never knew much about make up but you are definitely my favorite person to watch.
Thanks for the tip of the powder puff, I usually use a brush and wonder why the oil in my skin shines through after a couple of hours. And I usually do the underpainting of concealer method as you've explained it. Thanks again. 😊
Nina, tysm 🙏for this video... Being I'm not a MUA, it really helps when you explain what product goes first and why. This makes total sense to me concealer, then foundation....Your make-up does look flawless but soft ... Beautiful ! ❤️ 😘
Oh my god.thank you! Thank you for pointing out serum lifts make up.i had this problem for months, i didn't think piling of my make-up was due to the serum i applied under my eyes.i always thought since serum is lighter it absorbs quickly and won't cause pilings
Thanks for another fabulous video. You are an incredible teacher and you are so passionate, it comes through. I have learnt a lot about brushes(bought many following your recommendations) and am more confident in what I do because of following your instructions. Practice makes perfect, so slowly and surely am getting better at it. Can't thank you enough for teaching us all... sooo much. God bless💕💕
I used to do it that way years ago until UA-cam era came a change the “way” maybe I should try it again And for the powder for me less is more these days! Thank you
I really love this video. I definitely plan to give this a try. The problem I have is small lines under my eyes and no matter what I do (such as looking up when applying concealer and powder) I always end up with seeing the makeup crease there by the end of the day. Any videos on this or suggestions?
Hi Nina! You are amazing 🤩. I’ve learned so much. Could you go over how to cover melasma. I have it on my forehead and it peaks through my foundation. I do apply concealer there first but it moves. Which product do you suggest I use? I’m a couple shades darker than you are. TY
Thank you so so much for your time spent explaining in detail. My problem is around my mouth area, my make up tends to fade and show my crease line. Can you help please
Hi Nina! Thanks for a great video. I followed a lot of your techniques! I do have a question when it comes to powder. I have extremely dry skin so I normally avoid using powder. Do you have any suggestion for powder when it comes to dry skin?
Thankyou for the details on how to use concealer ,ive suddenly gotten dark circles under my eyes,😫I guess I'm starting to show my age,im 56.....I use foundation creamy powder, but I was using my fingers to apply it,SMH🙄thankyou for showing me that I need to use a sponge, to apply it,,I appreciate your detailed Instructions👍😊
i love your videos. what is the best way to match the foundation color to my skin. seems my face is slightly like orange when i go out in the sun light.
I love the way you talk about skin not your skin care but care not too many on here talk about skin care so is there a difference with a BB cream and a tinted moisturizer if I use tinted Moisturizer do I really need the foundation with a foundation powder
Not if you go with a sponge, tilt chin down, look up and make sure you've go over first with a damp spong to pick up excess concealer, wait then powder.
Love this and how you make it so easy to copy. When you use your sponge to buff, is the sponge damp or dry? Everyone tells you something different. Thanks so much.
What is the best application for powder foundation I like powder more than a liquid foundation it seems to keep my skin a little bit more matte but sometimes I need more hydration because my skin can be very dry at times
Love your content, I do have a question. I just turned 61. I have noticed a little more darkness and wrinkles under my eyes. I get so much mixed info about powdering under the eye or not. I don't want to look like the creep keeper. Thank you
Hey NIina, great video. Can you do one on underpainting contour cream. I have nars creamy concealer I n cacao I .have watched your now to video on underpainting with it. but when I come to putting foundation on with a sponge… It gets lost? Thanks again.😊
Fantastic video! I have a question. Is it accurate that applying foundation with a brush makes the skin appear more natural, as it doesn't settle on top of pores? How can you ensure that pores look minimized when applying foundation with a sponge?
I forgot to mention that I use Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation for its all-day longevity, applying only a small amount to avoid looking older. Additionally, I'm 53 years old, letting you know for tailored advice based on my age. Thanks
And lastly, what do you think about applying setting spray before applying the setting powder? I've noticed that applying the setting spray after the powder accentuates the tear-through appearance of my sunken eyes, as if the powder effect tends to diminish.
I have problem when put my makeup i have those tiny wrinkles under my eyes and the makeup makes them more visible. The concealer stays in the wrinkles and it looks awful. How can i escape it? Thank you!
I am getting creasing when I apply the powder under my eyes. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I increased the moisture by using Bobbi Brown vitamin eye cream but I still get creasing. Help
I love a woman of color, teaching other women how to apply make up… you have helped me so much with my make up. I love your channel.

I’ve always believed this and have mostly done it like this. Spot on
Hi Nina. Another great video. Love the way you simplify makeup application. You taught me a lot. I am an Indian woman who is soon to be 65 with far from perfect skin and I have learned a lot by watching your channel. Please keep them coming 👏👏❤️

(Nina) sure knows what she’s talking about: Makeup. Why I love following her ❤. Hope you’re doing great. 😊
Thank-you for teaching. 50+ and never learned the art of makeup. This actually makes sense to me.

Hello, I will try this technique! Can you recommend a concealer that minimizes fine lines?
Wow thanks for sharing.. ? .. is the sponge your using for the concealer wet or dry?
Hello Nina, thank you for the technique but I no longer put powder on the concealer because it accentuates my wrinkles. Thanks for this tutorial

thank you@@CatherineWoofsHallam
@@CatherineWoofsHallamthank you for this too. I’m in my 40’s and have noticed the same
Hi Nina, love this technique. What’s the best way to use underpainting is you have under eye puffiness?
I love under-painting. It's my favorite and only way to do my makeup
Love this and how you make it so easy to copy. When you use your sponge to buff, is the sponge damp or dry? Everyone tells you something different. Thanks so much.

Can you do a color corrector prior to applying a concealer? Thank you.

Nina, ques: what is your opinion of all these light pink loose powders under the eyes 👀...??? It is big in the States.. 😁.
Hi,how to choose the best concealer and foundation for my complexion in terms of color?
Do you use a damp sponge when applying your foundation and concealer?
I’ve always put concealer UNDER my foundation so that my eyes don’t look like an owl. Thanks for explaining why I do it this way.
When would you add the primer?
👍👍👍👍
Ya nina do u use face primer before or after concealer and foundation and before setting powder?
Can we use full coverage foundation in this method???
When would I put on my bronzer and blush ?
After the powder. ?
I always use my concealer first
Hello, I'm new to your videos. Can I ask do you have a tutorial for bridesmaids?

I need help, how the cover nose open pores. I struggle with foundation fingers and sponge to keep them covered.
