    Love your channel Billy..The Coalfish is underrated and usually neglected, a bit like the Mackerel, which is a fantastic fish to eat🇬🇧

      As far as my experience goes! It all depends on what part of the world it is caught! But still miles better than anything you can get from a fishmongers. Thanks brother 😁👌

    Hey, Billy. While waiting for tomorrow's blockbuster halibut video, it was great to see you cooking up a delicious storm. Call me crazy (I'm sure you already do) but nobody I've ever watched holds and cuts with a slim vegetable cleaver with the skill you demonstrate here unless he/she has cooked professionally at some point. Jacques Pepin eat your heart out! I only wish I had been at the lodge to share the fish cakes and coleslaw with you. Best, Chris

      @Billyfishing_watch  14 годин тому

      Hi Chris. The truth is I'm good at chopping because, just like fishing, cooking is something I enjoy to do, a lot. So it's just a skill I have acquired over the years! Glad you like it brother, thanks 😁👌

    Coalfish is excellent for chowder or "Bergensk fiskesuppe". My father in law insists it's better than cod for klippfisk/salted and dried fish. Requires quite some effort though

    • @Billyfishing_watch
      @Billyfishing_watch  17 годин тому +1

      Hi Steve. Taste is often a personal thing! What I do know is they like to cure them, in what or how. I'm not sure, but it might make a difference. When I say they're not my favourite! nevertheless they're still good.
