Great video,Billy😀nice to see the end result of all your efforts fishing😀…impressed with your knife skills!!!…..you’ll be having a cookery channel next🤣…all the best😀🎣🎣🎣🎣xxxx
Excellent job, well explained. Why am I not surprised? Thorough and very well thought out, just like Your fishing and apparently all else that You do. Heart and head. Don’t quit.
Nice one Billy, I learnt a bit there. Something to consider cooking over Christmas. Keep them coming. ps. We call a pointy cabbage "a sweetheart " here
With knife skills like that someone’s a trained chef…… another amazing and very informative vid I’ve never tried coalies was always told they don’t taste great but I’m gonna give it a bash next time I’m over! That looks amazing
Love your channel Billy..The Coalfish is underrated and usually neglected, a bit like the Mackerel, which is a fantastic fish to eat🇬🇧 Carry on with the tight lines👍
As far as my experience goes! It all depends on what part of the world it is caught! But still miles better than anything you can get from a fishmongers. Thanks brother 😁👌
Hey, Billy. While waiting for tomorrow's blockbuster halibut video, it was great to see you cooking up a delicious storm. Call me crazy (I'm sure you already do) but nobody I've ever watched holds and cuts with a slim vegetable cleaver with the skill you demonstrate here unless he/she has cooked professionally at some point. Jacques Pepin eat your heart out! I only wish I had been at the lodge to share the fish cakes and coleslaw with you. Best, Chris
Hi Chris. The truth is I'm good at chopping because, just like fishing, cooking is something I enjoy to do, a lot. So it's just a skill I have acquired over the years! Glad you like it brother, thanks 😁👌
That's a well made and presented plate of food ....... TIP stick that lemon in the microwave for 15 secs halve it then squeeze , loads more juice and easier .
Probably get thrown off the island, not a spud fiend but they look delish! Fishing good for the mind and the belly!! A pleasure as always Billy boy. Much love on ya bro all the way from Derry have yourself a cracking Christmas where ever you end up see you in the next vid .
Coalfish is excellent for chowder or "Bergensk fiskesuppe". My father in law insists it's better than cod for klippfisk/salted and dried fish. Requires quite some effort though
@Billyfishing_watch that's no worries there. It also makes a fantastic engine coolant and it's pretty good on salad. 3.99 a litre. I'll do your members a good deal
That looks like my Mom's fish cake recipe. She was of Irish decent after all. I've said it before and I'll say it again, when it comes to potatoes the only opinion I trust is and Irishman's opinion.
Hi Steve. Taste is often a personal thing! What I do know is they like to cure them, in what or how. I'm not sure, but it might make a difference. When I say they're not my favourite! nevertheless they're still good.
