Indeed she is the best. Singer/songwriter, performer ever imho. Her voice always touches my heart n soul and makes me melt. I dont know of anyone else who shows as much emotion whilest signing especially live. Its a beautiful thing. She gives us everything. If you havent already seen it check out her live cover of "I Want You" with Elvis Costello. Its haunting and confronting. And at the end , she has to wipe all that emotion away to continue. She feels every thing she she sings. Love her
the interviewer sounds like he's coming from the right place, following up on things she's saying rather than having an agenda and she seems comfortable
Such an intelligent and well accomplished artist @ such a young age!!! I love her to pieces & hope that I'll be fortunate enough one day to see her perform live!!! ;-) Thanx 4 posting!!!
I was teased for being a ginger. We all get shat on in school cause kids are mean and lil buttheads..then they grow up to be big azzholes 😂😂 Fiona..such nostalgia she was big in my days! I remember my mom not letting my friend and I go to the lilith fair to see Fiona or Tori Amos. I was mad for months. Great interviewist and she seems so comfortable. The industry man, the industry. They suck up souls quicker than satan. They stifled so many amazing artists that should have been icons for decades instead of some of the industry's cherry picked artists that are shat but had the decades long icon status. Why I love this days in age ability to be Independent. So many artists giving the labels a big🖕! Sending good vibes to you Fiona, namaste you beautiful soul.
+Fiona Apple Rocks Listening to this interview from when she was, what, probably twenty one, to hear her excitement for the future is both sweet and sad at the same time. Because that sort of vanished as time went on when ugly, shallow, trivial criticisms really started to get to her and she would say, like in interviews, how she felt everyone just hated her. I hope she realizes now how that is not and was not ever the case. That everyone who has any kind of good taste in music at all sees her as this trifecta powerhouse of incredible massive talent, beauty, AND intelligence- all equally. I hope she's a happy person who doesn't still think the world dislikes her. Because the world sees her as a goddess!
The envy and resentment was somewhat understandable, seeing that in less than 5 months she went from being a complete unknown who had never even performed in public to being a fixture on MTV.
I like how relaxed and at ease she sounds during this interview.
She is the best female lyricist and that's coming from a black rapper who didn't quite make it lol but I know lyrics
