Fun Fact: This year, 2024, actually marks the 20th anniversary of the release of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie which was originally released back in 2004 since this movie is 20 years old now already, and this year also marks the 25th anniversary of the SpongeBob SquarePants TV series which originally aired on Nickelodeon back in 1999 which was already 25 years ago! I was even only seven years old, almost going on eight, when SpongeBob first aired on TV in 1999, and I was 13 when the movie itself first came out in 2004. I didn't get to see the movie in theaters though at the time since I just waited for it to be released on home media before I finally got to see it, and I own four different video formats of this movie too: VHS, DVD, Blu-ray, and UMD Video for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld video game system.
Pretty cool release I would say. I hope they release Sponge Out of Water and Sponge On the Run on 4K Ultra HD very soon since the first SpongeBob movie is already out today.
Awesome unboxing video and this is also my most favorite SpongeBob movie too! I still have this film on both Blu-ray and DVD, and I even have The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie on VHS as well since it was one of the last SpongeBob VHS releases including on UMD Video too for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld video game system since the PSP even had UMD movies for the system to watch! I even have the video game for PS2 based on the movie!
I still want The Simpsons Movie on 4K UHD. I also want to see the first three seasons of Spongebob on Blu-ray as well as a few seasons of The Simpsons on Blu-ray.
It's nice that the SpongeBob SquarePants movie was released on 4K Ultra HD. I have seen this movie along with my 7-year-old brother, and it was a really good SpongeBob movie and right after this, I attempted to clean the disk with either alcohol or acetone, and it was a big mistake and now I will have to get another copy of said movie.
I got this movie too from Amazon, but I got it back in 2019 though and I got the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack edition of the movie. There was even a VHS release of this movie as well which I even still have!
@@andykishore I still have the VHS release from 2005! There was also a UMD release of this movie for the old PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld video game system since the PSP offered UMD movies to watch, and this movie was one of them!
This is a movie since it's not a video game, but it'll still work though on the PS5 anyway since the PS5 video game console can play 4K Ultra HD Blu-rays in addition to standard Blu-ray and DVD movies as well.
Its a nice good release the front still reminds me of the sea stories from 2002 i used to own the dvd from 2014_2017 i enjoyed the movie its great did you hear abour it turns 25 yaers this year

I’ve been thinking about getting this 4K but I’m not sure if I should buy it. Not because it’s only in a steel book but rather because I have it in the 2 movie collection blu ray with sponge out of water.

I got that release and it is pretty cool. Only difference with the picture quality is that it's slightly darken. @@JsBluRays Thanks for sharing this unboxing video since this is also one of my most favorite animated movies and keep up the amazing work on your videos too!
I have a question here about something in case if anyone happens to know. I don't know if there's some sort of glitch or something with UA-cam, or if this is just something on my end or what, but apparently, I'm noticing now that whenever I receive comment responses on my posts from other people, or if I get any hearts on my posts, UA-cam is not sending me e-mail notifications over at my Gmail inbox now about them even though I've been getting those notifications before. I should still be getting notified about those sorts of things though and I already went in my account settings here on UA-cam to make sure my notification preferences were turned on too. Would anyone happen to know about this sort of thing and is there a way to fix it somehow? I was just wondering since I just thought of asking in case if anyone knows about that.

Plus it using the 35mm scan of the film not the digital one from 2005 that Paramount did for all three previous release VHS, DVD, Blu-ray.
Makes plenty of sense now. I have seen this film previously on DVD when I was a kid.
I hear the 4k is a film scan, does anyone know if the blu ray is also a film scan? or just the same blu ray from earlier releases?
