I did the same with the foundation for my shipping container only I lifted the unit a full 18" off the ground so that the undercoating could be reapplied in the future and so the plywood floors were not close to the ground and moisture. I also went down a bit deeper because we have serious frost heave in Canada. I did place landscape cloth and gravel on the ground to prevent weeds etc. The 18" height does not bother me because when it snows I don't have to shovel to open the doors - but they are however a giant step up. Great Video! Shipping containers have become a source for scams - There are a lot of fake websites out there! I live near to a container port so I have the luxury of going to the yard and dealing with large reputable companies.
Glad you got your money back. I have lost count of the times someone has tried to scam me for goods or services over the last couple of years. It’s almost becoming the new norm.
I enjoy these 'deviation from the mean' - like the field work you did recently. Its a good break from the brilliantly-indepth front door videos. Think "chewing gum for the mind" Anyway keep it up - loving all your content. I think my favourite is still the gate repair - I guess that was aligned more with 'fixit' type jobs I do on a weekend. I learned so much from that
So many interesting videos on a seemingly unending number of subjects and great to watch. So sorry to hear you were scammed but it seems the bank was helpful 🌞
I need a name for my “condition”. I will never need or want to install a shipping container but I just love watching a job done well. My wife would call it “Sado” 🤣 Sorry just love it - thanks Oli Merry Christmas everyone - fill your boots with cutting comments I don’t mind!
Can't beat a bit of hard craft. I'm too old for that now 😔 but remember those days with my late father, what a slave driver he was 😅 its only 9pm we've another 30mins of daylight left or it's light at 5am we'll get a good start (British summer time) 😊
Why? The rats need a home, too. They can't chew through the steel? People are haters. Other animals also live in this environment. We are the invasive fucking species!
Didn't know it existed - a PTO mixer - what a brilliant idea.
Name and shame! Help stop somebody else getting scammed..... Love your work.
Definitely- anything to reduce their ability to scam others.

Do you not get vermin problems underneath due to the air gap? Makes sense from moisture point of view 👍🏻
Not with mouse in charge I’d imagine
Spot will make short work of them 🐕🐀
Vermin? People are the fucking vermin! Animals need a home, too, bitches.
Would air gaps encourage rats, Oli?
Make sure you seal underneath to keep rats out
