him and Sheri are so perfect for each other. I can't even put my finger on why, they just are.
Probably because they seem genuinely happy with each other. They’re always together and working together. I remember Rob did an ask me anything on Instagram and someone asked if he ever got tired of working with her and he said “no, she’s the love of my life”. I’m paraphrasing but it was something along those lines. I thought that was really great
She is the backbone. She 100% holds him together and thats why they fit! love them both

I think it was his best movie, hands down,
I used to think the same for many years but one day I realized Devil's Rejects is actually better. Either way, those are his two best.... they balance each other out perfectly.
Devil's Rejects and it's not even close. I love his sense of style and his influences, but he's made some stinkers.

Devils rejects was by far the best.
I enjoyed that lower budget sequel/prequel THE DEVILS REJECTS more....go figure If he was going for that 70's grindhouse feel with that one he hit the nail on the head.
I didn't say Grindhouse....but grindhouse which is an exploitative style of feature. Which the movie Grindhouse did a pretty good job of emulating....saw it in the theater and it was like watching two really weird movies for the price of one.

Personally I think house of 1000 corpses is his best movie. I love everything about the movie from the tone, directing, music and editing. A lot of people think rejects is his best film but I like house way more. It’s a rare example of me not having any problems with a horror movie.

It sounds like it depends on studios and their package deals they have to offer and as he said it was his first movie so he was unaware of what he was buying into and he chose the cadillac of packages, if he asked for something, there it was.

It was a good movie for the most part.. the Dr Satan shit was a huge waste. The family itself and the lure system they had was intriguing. Captain Spaulding letting passerby tourists and vagrants go out to the Firefly lane and Baby or Rufus or a combination of the two leading or taking them into “The House “ to meet the family so to speak. More movies should have been carried on with this premise.. (as that was a glimpse of a typical Halloween celebration) so a destructive road trip kinda turned it into Thelma and Louise.. and that sucked. I’d rather have seen a more typical hot summer day with some wandering folks to come naturally and unsuspecting onto the family farm situation happen.

Hey, the Halloween remake was worth a while and 31 was a decent survival movie (if The Running Man meets House of 1000 Corpses)
