Never call a Enemy Way ceremony,a squaw dance. The word squaw is a Algonquin language meaning. In other native,it is an alien. In Idaho, the word "squaw" is considered to be the women's genitals.
Please don't wear Jewelry when you cook and make Frybread!!!! you can get diahrea or another health issues! and please my people don't use Morell Lard as grease. use healthier oils, vegetable or Crisco to make frybread. So many of our people are in heart hospitals because of that Lard. let's change our diet habits. Eat healthy and be healthy!
i really wish my native brothers and sisters would stop eating frybread. that shit is so unhealthy for you and it was prison food to begin with that was introduced to natives. sigh... i feel like having a heart attack just by looking at it.
Every once in a while you will be fine, our ancestors ate that daily and they live to 100 so I'm sure we'll be fine, but we probably aren't as active as they were.

It used to be that the women/girls were paid per dance. Hence the name "Squaw" dance. In 1970s as a child, they were fun.
