Maybe I'm just lucky, or there are different versions of that model, but I never had any of that issues. I bought two 801s in 2018 and they are still fine and running. Even the power reserve isn't a problem at all. I put the blue version on just yesterday around noon, no handwinding, I just set the time and date, shaked the watch for two seconds or so and it's still running after 25 hours. I didn't stop during the night. It gained 12 seconds, but that's OK. So for me, it's a fun little watch for less than 20 bucks
@@prebenven3611 Mine has the same problem man. Have to reset it every time I wake up. I think it lasts a bit longer than 2 hours but definitely not 12 hours.
They all vary greatly, that's the only issue. We sell them to our USA customers for $40-45 and even they are mostly thrilled with them at that pricepoint. My personal copies, I can just wear and they work. No hand winding needed. People that are geriatric and don't move much, do not do well with these. My power reserve usually last 8-9 hours overnight if all I do is wear it. If I hand wind it before bed, I can get many more hours out of these on reserve. Out of every 100 or 150 or so pieces of Tevise T801A that we get, we will find one with a weak crown epoxy that breaks off almost instantly after purchase. The manufacturer refunds us on it, or sends a replacement. A few times it happened where it falls off in shipping. I'm going to start repairing those copies with a 2-part epoxy, and keeping them for myself, just to enjoy some more color options :)
You just solved a huge problem i was having with my Tevise. Thank you. Mine cost approximately $70.00. Mine is absolutely beautiful. It has a cut out dragon on the face. But kept stopping. Mine doesn't have even a 2 hour reserve on it. The moment I stop, it stops. Beautiful but not functional for how I live my day.
I have this watch and your review is accurate. It looks great, but the power reserve doesn’t make it through the night. For me, this isn’t an issue because I don’t usually wear it 2 days in a row, but when I do, I hand wind it and that allows it to keep the time. I do get many compliments on it, and it’s good for the price.
Self winding mechanism is too light, wind it up manually then it will have more reserve. Mind that it is a cheap watch so be extra careful and do not use force!
I have had the blue dial tevise for about 2weeks now. It keeps good time and the power reserve is at least 24 hours. The only issue with mine is the crown is very hard to pull out. I paid $34 through eBay.
Yes and no. Sometimes it just stops and when it is running it runs slow. It just sits in my watch box . I am going to try and adjust it and also fix the stiff crown. I'm waiting on a watch press for the case back. If you buy one it may work or it may be a lemon. I suggest spending a little more money for a better watch. Something with a seiko nh35, seagull, or miyota.
I have the same watch, and mine has the same problem. It's not the powerreserve that's the problem, it's the rotor, it's horrible. What I do, I just handwind. I haven't testet how long it will last but for sure longer than 2 hours, at least on my Tevise.
how do you wind the watch? please help me:(( Whenever i go to sleep i set aside the watch then in the morning when i look at it, it stops from rotating.
This tevise has a mechanical hand wind function, so if you rotate the crown it cranks the watch. You dont have to rely on shaking the watch as doing that really does last for only 2 hours. I crank my Tevise about 10 times before going to bed, and it still ticks when I wake up :)
I had the same problem. It wouldn't last the night. But then I shake it for a long period. So it will be we wind it fully. Now I have no problems at night i is still tiking
No chance.. it's a good looking watch and finish quality despite for the price. But still not WR for swimming, might be close to hand washing but still i wouldn't recommend.
It's not a serious watch. Does anyone think you can get submariner function for twenty bucks? The Tevise gives you the look on the super cheap. If you want the look and function close to a submariner expect to pony up to Invicta pro diver money. I do own a Tevise t801a and mine survived two hours in a glass of water with no visible leaks. That's better than I expected on a sub style watch that cost me $18 shipped to my door. Will the Tevise take the abuse of say a $20 Casio? Not a chance.
Its cheap but there is NO service or parts . Their one year warranty is a total scam! I tried to get a pusher for one of mine and was told they don't have parts, period. Buyer beware.
@@raymondbailey1970 you are missing the point. It is a waste to throw out a perfectly working watch when all you need is a 25cent part. Do you throw your shirt away when it needs a new button? Duh!
I have the same watch. After 2 years it still works perfectly. The lume is bright and the function very accurate.
2 years and running? Does your Tevise run every day?
No. I have many watches I wear. It needs wounding up and movement to work continuously obviously. Still a great watch.
