    First off, thank you for this great tutorial. Secondly, I've got a question. I've read on other websites that you need to make your artboard 5000 px x 3000 px for Adobe Stock. Would the figure I got from other sources be the more updated one? Or is 600 x 600 correct? Thanks :)

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  3 роки тому +1

      I've seen other sites saying you need 15 mp (5000 px x 3000 px) to upload on Adobe Stock, including Adobe's own article! But I've never had any trouble with 600x600. If you upload on Shutterstock, they do require 4mp, though.

    Thanks for this lesson it was great! My question is if vectors are made using AI how can they be saved to upload to Etsy?

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  2 роки тому +1

      For Etsy, it all depends on what type of design you're wanting to upload. They do accept AI files, but if your customer doesn't have Illustrator, that won't work. I would find similar products on Etsy and look at the descriptions to see what types of files they're offering (PDF, SVG, etc).

    Hi Ann. I really appreciate your teaching style and am hoping you either have a way to overcome or to avoid a problem that I’m encountering when making compound paths or uniting items to make cut files in AI. Strokes are very problematic and take on the fills of the items I’m compounding. When compounding paths of strokes having varying widths, the directions change, etc. It has been very frustrating.
    Can you please provide guidance for preparing vector images to upload as cut files…especially as it relates to compound paths having strokes with and without fills and with varying widths?

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  2 роки тому +2

      Whenever you create a compound path, Illustrator is seeing all those objects as one object. So it's going to apply only 1 stroke and fill because you can't apply separate styles to one object. One option is to expand your strokes before compounding. I have a video that shows more about compounding if you want to check it out: ua-cam.com/video/6BfYqxWp4N0/v-deo.html

    Is uploading vector designs on Adobe Stock worth it or the stock photos sells more?

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  Рік тому +3

      It all depends on what your subject matter is. But overall, vectors probably make a bit more because the barrier to entry is higher (meaning not everyone knows how to make them).

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  Рік тому

      I would say yes-customers are more into stock images-but also it's VERY saturated with photos. I know of AMAZING photographers that sell there and make less than I do (and my vectors aren't that great, honestly).
