  • In the locker room, Robin admits to Patrick she knew better than to lie about her child. Later, Epiphany tells Robin that Claudia Zacchara is in one of the emergency rooms, and Robin goes in to examine her. Claudia wants Robin to look at Johnny first, but Johnny insists that Claudia be the one examined. Robin tells Claudia she would need stitches, and Claudia rudely says "well then, get to it," but Robin informs Claudia of her own HIV status before beginning the procedure. Claudia freaks out and says she doesn't want Robin touching her. Claudia is very rude to Robin and she is the picture of HIV prejudice. Patrick walks in and tells Claudia she needs an education on HIV, but Claudia retorts by asking him if he would want to take a chance with his own life or that of someone he cared about by letting Robin treat them. Patrick announces that Robin is carrying his child. Patrick walks into the locker room to find Robin crying on the bench. Robin says that although Claudia's comments were ignorant, she was still worried about the risk of passing HIV on to her baby. Patrick reminds Robin their child only has a 2% chance of contracting HIV from her, meaning the child had a 98% chance of not getting the virus. He says those are better odds than a surgeon could give. Even if their child would be one of the 2%, the child would have a mother who would teach it how to deal with the virus and ignorant people. Robin tells him he picked the perfect moment to be wonderful. He offers to take her home and, after contemplating, she decides to take him up on the offer. He asks her to give him enough time to pull over if her morning sickness was going to rear its ugly head!

I was a teen and young adults during the AIDS years, that is wonderful the process medical research has made, but sadly people will always be ignorant.

@@saraflint2982 I like laura wright too, but Sarah Brown is the reason why Carly became a force to be reckoned with, and she has great chemistry with Maurice bernard

I can't believe how ignorant some people still are. I've known about how HIV is transmitted since like 7th grade. I even took a class in college on the history of diseases. People need to be much more educated.

not that i wanted claudia to be the one 2 have this reaction, b/c i like her, but it's realistic that SOMEONE did. if ur family/friend has HIV, that's one thing. but if it's a random person off the street...
for ex: last week i was on the E train on my way home when this guy get's up and announces he's homeless & HIV +. as soon as he said that everyone, and i mean EVERYONE got this...LOOK on their faces. my heart started palpitating. not everyone will voice it, but most ppl feel like claudia.

I hate how all of you think that Robin deserves to have her feelings hurt all the time.

I'm glad that robin got her feelings hurt, she's always passing judgment on other people, well now she got a taste of what she dishes out.
