I do this, but I use a vinyl stencil from a Cricut and I carve the letters with carbide chisels & a hammer. I make them on sandstone slate. It takes a long time! I'd like to buy a good cutter and use blast mask. I'd need a big compressor and a sand blaster, too like you do.
I'm looking for someone to sandblast "no diving" on my pool coping tile. How do I find someone to do that? I don't even know how to search for that. can you help?
Super cool ...how much an average is that sandblasting rig cost ...? Bought my house in 2016 and there's old stone engraving around the property but I have a huge stone out on side entrance and I 100percent want it blasted thx
Great video! I'm also interested in knowing what stencil material, paint, sandblast pressure, and sandblast material you used. Really want to use your method to engrave a field stone for my parents' farm in Minnesota!
Ok so I know you need 12cfm but like what do you need to do this???...I have a cabinet and I have a 10cfm air compressor and a sandblasting gun from menards and a bag of black blast 40/60/80......do I need anything else like a pot blaster????...just wanting to do a sign for my yard
What is the purpose of the glue/water mix? If it's just to be able to remove any paint that crept under the stencil, you may be using a stencil material that is not aggressive enough. Also try pressing the stencil down with a linoleum roller instead of a hammer.
Thanks for the video. I would like to have seen the brand/type of stencil material you used as well as the paint. Would you reply with that information?
For smooth and quick blasting I'd say at least 12cfm. I started with a harbor freight compressor that put out much less... it worked, but I did a lot of waiting for it to catch up.
Can you please name each tool in the video and give us links where to buy them?

I would love to learn the city I live in has NO curbs to paint address letters. These rocks would be a great side hustle.

What a great job! What sandblast media do you use? I tried Aluminium Oxide and it didn't even put a dent in flagstone.
I'm surprised aluminium oxide isn't making a dent, what pressure are you blasting at?
Curious how did you do this and what did you use???
Genial! 🔥👌👍🙏🙏
That was great, thanks.
What type of glue did you use prier to placing your stencil????
