From what I have gathered from~5 yrs of watching videos on muscle work, these guys are spot on about 99% of the time on all their training aspects ....
Thank you guys. I hang in every word from these UA-cam videos 🎉
Health vs Performance vs Recovery. One of your best videos yet.
Good video. Half an hour a day and even less sometimes have gone me from 24'27 til 22'45 at 5k this year with no i jury set back and 95% slow run and 5% threshold. On the contrary it has now brought me to at can run 7k per day and 40k-50k a week compared to an average of 11km last year. I think beginners should start with running every day. Just starting 5-10min is enough and increase that to 30 over a year. Doesn't look much but from 0 running to 3-3,5 hours running a week is a tremendous achievement and it can be done safely by cutting in small portions.
7km per day in half an hour would take you through 5k in 21:25-21:26 at an average pace which is a lot quicker than your best 5k time...
@@MAOLALAIDH yes but I can't run 7km in half an hour every day without being over 75% of my maximum heart rate. Nevertheless I think I can reach those times you mention with my current training. Though I've just turned 50 so it might become harder
I tend to super set - do 3 types of workouts at once and try my best to condense it down into 20-25 min workouts after doing a 25-45 min run 6 days a week
Now my fastest marathon training plan was at a time when I was really busy and I ended up doing one speed day of intervals one day in the week of like a tempo got up to about 9 miles in my long run. I only hit about 10 miles but it was also almost at a tempo pace than I did two days a week. I’m about a half hour or so at the gym, I walked into that half marathon and thought I was going to fail and on my longest run was 10 miles and when I was so fat, I crushed it still working out five days a week but oh my gosh there was a two strength Azores it was great good video
We need timestamps!
Hi can I run my TT on treadmill?
Hello guys, great info. Thank you. Faster, shorter would be great...I'm talking about the length of your videos. Too slow and too long. You could get the same message across in 2 minutes. Sorry for the harsh feedback but the world of Short awaits.
Love to hear your thoughts on taking 6 weeks off after a race, due to injury and only waking during those 6 weeks. How long does it take to regain the lose fitness over the 6 weeks, once you start training again. Thanks in advance
twice as long as you took off. If you took 6 weeks off then it will take you around 3 mths to get back to where you were.
@@DMGC529 Wow, thanks for the response I honestly didn’t know the impact was that much. I continued walking around 10km every other day to maintain something but not the case, age and time off have great impacts. Back to training at week 6 of the training cycle now and do fell the lack of fitness prior to July race condition. Again thanks for the information, have a great week.
@@DMGC529yep, I’d agree with your assessment it takes approximately twice as long to get back to peak fitness.
All good @@expatadventureturkey9324 From what I know and what I have read usually you are fine having a week off, you lose a little bit with 2 weeks and beyond 2 weeks it really starts to drop off.
0rganized and deliberate~ turn it into...muscle memory is my thought...way of thinking. Stay with it.
Broken metatarsal 😫
get better!!
