Hi Celine, thoroughly enjoyed this video! My 5 year old daughter watched it with me and told me at the end "Mama that was really fun!" I've knitted for about a decade now but have always felt hesitant to alter knit patterns. But seeing you 'going with the flow' really inspired me to want to do the same and tell myself it's ok to go rogue! By the way, your beautiful personality is so infectious, you seem like such a lovely spirit to be around. And of course your hair and makeup is always stunning but obviously you look even more gorgeous without a single drop. Love your videos and always look forward to your uploads, keep them coming. I love the vloggy bits they're my fave❤
Watching from Italy! I have been knitting since I was 13, i put down the kneedles when I had my kids because there was nt enough time, and now picked them up again 5 years ago when I became a nonna, now I cant seem to stop!
Thank you Karen! I'm watching from South Africa. You have made a beautiful cardigan, I can see that it will become a staple in your wardrobe. Thank you for sharing your process.
I love making pattern modifications, I feel like I am adding my effort to the design and it gives me a better satisfaction from finished object. Watching from Spain, Tenerife.
Watching from Wisconsin, USA! Your cardigan is dreamy and I love the giggles you, Karen and Claire have together! Reminds me of me and my knitting friends!
Love the Maggie cardigan love the construction and winged it with wanting three quarter sleeves in yellow drops angora 4 ply plus mohair and just love it. Thank you for your podcast ❤
Hi Celine. Beautiful cardigan and now I’ll have to buy some cashmere. I’m watching from Calgary, Alberta, Canada but spend some winter months in coastal Spain. Thanks for a lovely podcast.
Hello Celine, I am watching your channel from Kiev, Ukraine. Your channel is one of my favorite 😍 and this cardigan is amazing! The color looks gorgeous and match perfectly with your Love letter top by Kutovakika👍
Hi, Celine! I’m a continental knitter watching from Oklahoma City in the U.S. But my husband is British (from High Wycombe), and I’m planning on visiting Beautiful Knitters next month on our yearly trip. I’ve been enjoying your videos! I watched your Oxford video and couldn’t believe that I was in the Covered Market last year and totally missed the yarn shop. 🫠
I'm watching from Sweden. I love your comment on unraveling. I'm currently knitting the Thea top with my teenage daughter. She's new to knitting and has some challenges with the fit of hers because she's at the low end the sizing. I don't want her to loose the joy of knitting so sometimes I check with her if she wants to figure out the fit, unraveling and knitting over or wants me to try to make it for her. She always wants to keep figuring out out herself, almost not understanding my question. Undoing and redoing is the most natural thing to her and not annoying at all. She's new to knitting but paints a lot and it's really clear how she benefits from knowing that creative work is not a straight line forward but a process. 🙂
Hei hei, watching from Tromso, Norway :)) What a stunning piece you created! Your videos have become such an anticipated part of my week, I just looove the esthetics of your videos and your style in general! You are a joy to watch and listen to :) Thank you for these precious moments, and congrats on the Sadie Top!
What a beautiful cardigan.....and tailored to size! I love your food references for blocking....very clear, lol. I knit english throwing my entire life, since 6 yrs old. During Covid i was knitting soooo much that i suffered injury to my shoulder and elbow. I decided to change my knitting style to Norwegian knitting where there is very little movement. It was not easy, but i am now a "fluent"Norwegian style knitter, and no more pain. I am enjoying your videos from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦
You’re a bold knitter 🤩 I ‘ve knitted some raglan sweaters without any patterns. It’s not difficult, you just have to understand the process. Other types of constructions I didn’t try to make my own pattern but I will try it one of these days. But I’m still learning by trying different styles and techniques. I’m watching you from Portugal 🇵🇹 ❤❤❤❤❤❤and I knit with my yarn around my neck, Portuguese style 😊😊😅
Beautiful wool! I'm in Los Angeles. I learned English Style throwing when I was 8 even though my mother knits Continental. Now I'm in my 40s and couldn't imagine knitting any other way.
Your cardigan and this color are sooo amazing und this new series is great❤🎉 I watch from Vienna, Austria😊 and I fully agree on the frogging statement 😅
watching from northern california ❤ your cardigan turned out so so lovely! always look forward to your videos, the conversation and editing style is so fun.
watching from northern california, i love your videos celine! 🫶 as a beginner knitter of garments i really appreciate all your advice! i get a bit dizzy with all the calculations and modifications and things to consider so thank you for making things seem attainable but above all else enjoyable! :)
Hello from Brazil! And thank you to lovely Karen for making sure this cardigan exists out in the world, it's simply to die for in that color 💛 For the buttons, why don't you buy some wood buttons and then treat them with a red varnish/stain? You can get some very saturated colors that way, but still maintain that wooden look. Might be fun to play around with different shades/finishes!
Hi from Italy! On holiday near Calamandrina south west of Milan but I usually watch from my home Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK. I have just bought some Cardiff Cashmere whilst I’m in its country of origin and will be making a Stockholm sweater.
In North Shropshire. As a crocheter who has taken to knitting as well, after being invited to join a local knitting group, I love watching someone who knits English throwing style. Couldn't even attempt any other way
Hi from Vancouver, Canada! Beautiful cardigan and stunning colour! (Thanks Karin 😀) I made an Eva cardigan out of Colourmart 100% cashmere and it's my precious baby lol. But now I want a red cashmere piece 😂
I love your end product, so beautiful! Weirdly I bought the exact same yarn, in the same colour, to knit a long sleeve Maggie Cardi a few weeks ago too!
I very much like this video and it makes me feel to try Cardiff Cashmere with a larger needle. I live in Germany near Aachen. Your cardigan looks great🙂.
It was raining cashmere! I think the cardigan looks way better after your modifications. I thought you weren't supposed to use softener for wool? It always makes my wool things scratchy and I find that ridiculous, haha, maybe I've done something wrong back then. Oh, and I'm continental knitter but at first I was purling continental throwing and knitting plain continental, now I do both plain continental with index finger close to the needle. And I'm watching from Poland ❤
Golly, you know that its special when it's wrapped like that. Special and delicate. Lucky girl to have such a beautiful friend.
I knoww I’m so lucky 🥹
I’m in the USA in the state of Florida:) I love watching you ! It’s such a joy and calming while I knit and crochet
