Super interesting to see where this goes! I’m also a GM purist…no ford crap on mine. I’m going to be shooting for 600 whp though so idk if staying with the 8.0 is a good idea…..
I'm at about 500whp. I went with all OEM Bearings "No China" lol... Matched with the Eaton Truetrac I should be fine. You should be able to find a 09-12 5.3 Colorado/Canyon Rear Diff. They used the 8.6". It will stick out a few extra inches but hey who cares. I'm going to push this thing and see how she does. I have heard great feedback for the Eaton Truetrac. People put slicks on these and send them.
It's Precision Instruments D1F75HM. You can see they are $310 USD on their website. If you go onto Ebay, you can find some sellers showing New Units for around $201. I got mine from Tooltopia on Ebay.

@ I’m currently 4 linked to the 8.0…hoping to keep it due to simplicity reasons. Are you in any Facebook groups?
Good job on the gear setup. I was wondering what torque wrench that is? Part number? Thanks.
