I hope one day the original band line up settles their differences and gets back together. I fell in love with their first album when I was 12. It is a crime for those 3 to have stopped. They are still legendary to me.
I will tell you whats missing from cosmic egg. Chris Ross and Myles Heskett. The band isn't the same without them. I hope Stockdale realizes this one day.
@kattastrofe both have moments of greatness and weakness I think! Though I like the production sound of their debut more! Much more raw in my opinion. :) Nice posts!
first album is an american classic. no question. people that love wolfmother know that this is a such a classic style of music and thats why they love it. i wish chris ross never left (keyboard) unbelievable at that keyboard. second album is still good with songs like far away, california queen, new moon rising, and 10,000 ft. this band better be around for a long time to come because i will love this band till the day i die
@kattastrofe Ive noticed if you approach the new lineup as a different nd not compare them to the old trio they are freakin awesome... i think the new album is an improvement... but thats just me
I just think that the first album was more raw, and more kinda garage band, and the second is more professional sounding. opinion wise the first one was killer! second just good.
@Skittnator just don't forget that when they were live at this point they were only maybe 5 years old(just a guess i not sure) of course there not as good as guys like led zeppelin but if they stuck together a bit longer they definitively could have been
@MrFigueroa007 sorry, but I have to disagree even though cosmic egg failed to be as good as their debut, the new formation is really good. they play their old songs in a really nice way, but it's a shame that andrew couldn't write anything as good as their first works for this last album (but, overall, I like cosmic egg... songs like California Queen, New Moon Rising and 10,000 Feet make it worth buying)
cosmic egg is sooo far off from their first album its shocking. just watch and listen to the difference between the two versions of this song. WHAT happened to his VOICE? Its become so dead boring and nassaly. This is pure execellence, Crisp clear, amaaazing vocals. After maybe 100 listens of Cosmic Egg I find no enjoyment from it any more, its depressing and sound so flat. where's the fun and energy in the songs?

You know the band is great when the keyboardist/ bassist is allowed some stage presence and proceeds to go NUTS. Now THAT'S Rock 'n' Roll.

this is sick. One of the few good bands out now.
56oldssuper88 sad they had to change the formation
Loudest concert ever attended!!!
I still thinking the first album is the best!!!
Of course all 3 of them wrote it together after Ross and Hesket left it just wasn't the same
It always is...
I miss Chris. He was crazy on keys and bass...
Baita som!!!.... É a melhor do disco.
Pra mim é difícil escolher só uma, kkkk, mas essa realmente é muito boa!
i love that they are original because if i had that voice i would definitely make led zeppelin covers.
Chris Ross is fucking awesome...and so are Andrew Stockdale and Myles Heskett!
the first time I heard this song I.........
J1ZZ3D 1N MAI P4NT5
like i saw on another wolfmother video, "how has this band not taken over the world?"
great!
I like this version even more than the album one. especially the prolonged intro.
AWESOME SONG
I WAS AT THIS SHOW THIS SHOW AT THE HORDEN AT THE VERY FUCKING FRONT NEAR THE MIDDLE.
FUCK IT ROCKED, I BROKE SOME GIRLS NOSE ACCIDENT.
From what I hear. Its a phaser, and a strange distortion/boost/fuzz in one.
how the fuck does that keyboard not fall???? brilliant performance though

@RockAndRollEruption totally agreed
@domy17domy17 Dude, they're Australian.
GLASSES ON Myles FTW
wow 🤑💖
@kattastrofe I don't agree. I'd say both albums match, so there is no better or worse album. And ofcourse, both are great! Just my opinion =].
jesus how many people are there!?
@domy17domy17 They're australian....

What the heck type of organ is he using and what effect? That is an awesome solo for what it is.
@Skittnator just don't forget that when they were live at this point they were only maybe 5 years old(just a guess i not sure) of course there not as good as guys like led zeppelin but if they stuck together a bit longer they definitively could have been

@LuckyThrteen13 Like The Who
@eatmyorangemarmalade i agree, but even though cosmic egg is really good it's not as good as their debut
