It is now called "Deus Auri" than Gold God tho it still means the same thing, and by Neuvillette, Morax is Deus Auri, so yeah, Oribashi definitely lost to Morax and is likely from Liyue more than anywhere else.
Plus its not hard to see that Adepti can be so strong when we have Cloud Retainer, Ganyu, Xiao and more all fighting in the Archon War. I think Cloud Retainer said she can defeat gods with her mechanical devices during the Archon War
She said many gods fell to her contraptions, which yes, it confirms she killed many gods XD
I don't think Orobashi was Fujin, Changsheng and Lingyuan's master. Because I'm pretty sure their master was female. Fujin consistently says "she" when referring to her.
I thought the game implied that the white snake was Chengshang and not Orobashi? Wasn't it stated that Orobashi was from the Vale? Im surprised that the game didn't give us ANY info on him.
The white snake is Chengshang most likely the herb lird Orobashi is prob the unnamed god they all followed
We know that some gods got "mad" or "crazy" during the Archon War, Fujin said this exact same thing happened with her god, that use to be a benevolent god, and, we know that this kind of things use to be related to abyssal corruption. Ok, let's take a look into Orobashi's first words to the kid that found it in Enkanomiya:
"I am the PROFANE Serpent. Though my servants are numberless, not one mortal NOW dwells in my shadow. That I have fallen into this realm, and that we would meet... Perhaps this is fate. YOU ARE NOT ONE OF MY PEOPLE, BUT YOU ARE HUMAN nonetheless. Speak your desire, and I shall hear it."
Be the profane serpent, for me, obviously means corruption, at some point it got corrupted or profaned. In the past, Orobashi used to have servants, used to have a people, and they were mortals. Enkanomiya's people are not it's people, BUT ARE HUMAN, like it's people were.
It tryied to destroy an entire human civilization, some time after this, falled into another realm, and met a human kid, of another almost destroyed human civilization... "perharps this is fate", or "I will hear your desire as atonement for what i did".

Orobashi got corrupted, mad, tried to destroy Chenyu Vale, and became an abyssal creature. Went to the dark sea as all the survivors that lost the Archon War. Somehow, regained it's sanity as the time went on, maybe spent some time in the Abyss, then reached Enkanomiya, and the rest you all already know.
I wonder who the god was that used to make xiao eat dreams--that was who I thought of when they mentioned the unknown god, orobashi does seem like a good fit though. Really nice video :)

It wasn't orobashi... It was changsheng or however you say it. Baizhu snake friend. She is the herblord. So it couldn't have been orobashi, especially since orobashi fled the archon war 6000 plus years ago, and hid in enkanyomiya.

@@F1ll1nTh3Blanks The quest says- when we tell fujin about our adventures in liyue- that white snake/herblord has found a place in liyue harbor (and we know at this point, Herblord can no longer maintain a human form, and Changsheng is the only white snake we see in the harbor with adepti powers), which confirms that it is indeed her
I dont think its him the herblord settled down in liyue but I guess you never know forsure

Dude, zhongli is 5k years old, and he is the oldest person we know. The archon war happened way earlier than 6k years
It definitely looks like Orobashi was the illuminated beast ruling Chenyu Vale.
The being was more like a Chi of Yore than Orobashi, also, I believe it's given female pronouns.
