Defintely the roughly 1,000 year period from the FSMs ascension to the Grasslands to the eve of the Serpentine War, so much untapped potential for lore
Yeah. At least it’s giving us a more full picture than simply “my father used these random ass weapons to create the world, I’m trying to protect it from my brother”.
The fact that the city part of Ninjago, or even the outside parts of Ninjago have survived all of the tragic events that have happened over the years is incredible. It’s really neat that every time a big event, or war is over in Ninjago that has destroyed the city, they always say, “Then we build again”, or “Then we keep Building” which is really cool, and kinda gives a hint to Japanese Religion. And what I mean by Japanese religion is that, in Japan, they never give up no matter how hard they get hit, or what happens, they never give up. Which can also go back to the saying “Ninja Never Quite”. Which is an amazing part of the show.
All of these events in the past are setting up for when they inevitably return. And let me just say, the Ninja are especially lucky that they didn't all return at once. Instead each villain patiently waited until the Ninja had defeated the previous one. How thoughtful of them.
To be fair the reason most villians returned was due to the defeat of a previous one. Chen's defeat caused the cursed realm to open, hence the next villian; Morro. Then after Morro's defeated, the Cursed Realm collapses, which is the sister realm of Djinnjago, hence Nadakhan!
That comes from a story written by one of the Ninjago creators, called The Splinter in the Blind Man’s Eye. The story itself is technically not confirmed to be canon, but I included it anyway because it makes sense.
What I find funny, is that to someone who hasn't seen Ninjago, 99% of this history must seem utterly pointless. But it all comes back in some way or another.
I love how Wu’s first concern after all these events was only “garmadon will be back” instead of aspheera, morro, serpentine, Chen, time twins, the Oni, the merge, etc…
Thank u so much. I always need these videos after a new season of ninjago. I just have a couple of questions: - What about the Firstbourn? - What about the difference between water and wind, and the other elemental powers? - What about the events of the pilot episodes? - How did the emperor of ice exist before zane? - Not a question, but this really shows how many plot holes/retconning there are
Questions answered to the best of my ability! - Firstbourn was the first born in that realm specifically, not the first dragon ever. - They already existed in the realm of ninjago, because it was basically just ocean with air. The first spinjitzu master didn't create weapons for them because they were already there, unlike earth, fire, ice, and lightning. - The pilot episodes are definitely still canon and there, if that's what you're asking. - It is possible that the blast that sent Zane to the neverrealm was a mixture of time and space, which would send him back in time and into a different realm. - Yes, I agree, there is so much retconning. The dragons from season 4 and airjitzu are the most annoying in my opinion.
I LOVED THIS VIDEO! Seriously you did a fantastic job covering everything, including books! Some things I do think are not in full alignment with events, but with all the new information we're getting with Dragon's Rising maybe gaps of time will be filled. Also am I the only one who wants Benthomaar, Nya, Jay, Arin, and Sora to go search for more of Bentho's actual race of shark-humaoid people? One more thing, Lilly died when Cole WAS 15/16 NOT when she was sick during Cole's flashback in Master of the Mountain, all that flashback was was showing us when Cole made the PROMISE to his mom to fight those who are cruel and unjust. She got better and we do not know WHAT she truly died from.
Hey tanner, you should do a video on the best episode in each season and the worst episode in each season. Two videos obviously but I think that would be interesting to watch since you haven’t done that yet and obviously your opinion.
He has done videos ranking episodes of every season. Unfortunately, he did it only for The Pilot episodes and Rise of the Snakes. I really wish he would go back and do the other seasons but the last one he did was like 2 years ago. So i don't know if he'll ever continue
I have a theory about the FSM's origin: What if the Source Dragons themselves brought him into existance, as an attempt to stop the war between the oni and dragons. Since the Source Dragons' powers are way too powerful, they cannot interact in such situation directly (otherwise they'd risk the stability of the universe). So their only way to interfere would be to manifest a creature with enough power to stop the war. This led them to create the FSM, a half-oni half-dragon being posessing both side's powers of creation and destruction, a perfect representation of balance who had the chance to reach to both sides and bring them to peace again. (This could answere how the FSM could approach the Source Dragons when he needed their power, because he already had a connection to them) However, it is possible that the reason why the two races started battling in the first place (maybe an evil influence of a higher force?) also prevented them to listen and follow the FSM's lead to peace, which caused the eventual failure of his "birth mission" and forced him to leave in order to avoid getting involved into the conflict.
i feel the source dragons are just the beings of creation and they do have an opposite that represents destruction and those 2 sides (and the "mortal" versions of their species) fought for the future of the realms (the cycle) and the fsm was born from both the source dragons power and their oni equivalent and represented balance and both sides wanted him as he could achieve the permeant victory for either side until eventually after they came looking for him and he made them leave ninjago until he saw that the merge would happen so he made a deal with the source dragons that he would imprison their oni equivalent if they dont interfere with in the realms anymore and help him stop them so they did and thats why the source dragons are a myth
@@monerb7185 Might be right. Altough, I don't believe the opposition between the Source Dragons and their "enemy force" is about creation-destruction... it's more about good vs evil. In the Ninjago universe, good is associated with the balance, the forces of good are the ones who try to keep/restore it. And destruction as a power is part of the balance, it exists to counter and moderate the power of creation. Evil, on the other hand, is working on destroying the balance, to create conflict and chaos. So if the Source Dragons have an (somewhat) equally powerful counterpart, it most defenetally not working with the power of destruction, more likely it's just corrupting creatures to riot and act against the balance. That's why this "great evil" doesn't necessary have to be any resemblance to the oni, since the oni's evilness doesn't come from their power of destruction, but perhaps from the influence of this evil being... but just like that it can influence any other creature in existance as well. I'd depict this being as a formless spirit/presence of evil, just like the Overlord, but even greater. Because of all this it's quite unlikely that this "higher evil being" has any connection to the FSM and his "birth", since the FSM himself is the living manifestation of the balance.
@@balintlaszlo530 i do think the source dragons are embodiments of purely creation as nothing about them links them destruction and their equal would be the "source oni" the source dragons create the realms and "source oni" end them this role would fit the source dragons way better than them being a representation of good and balance (as thats the fsms role) they would still be important as both groups are still fundamental parts of the balance a balance which the fsm represents as he is born from both creation and destruction balanced out by the overlord who represents imbalance they are both tipping points for the balance the fsm wants to end the conflict caused by the balance shifting (ending the war of the oni and dragons making ninjago and having wu and garmadon) while the overlord wants to destroy the balance and end the conflict caused by creation and destruction by using his power (bringing peace in the dark) they are mirror images of each other true opposites and the source dragons and their opposite not being creation and destruction would honestly cause more harm than good as it would contradict a lot of the lore while also making the he FSM and the overlord extremely redundant as their roles would have already been filled so there would be no point for them to exist and that would be really dumb writing wise

Great video and really sets straight the order of the events in Ninjago. The only thing I’m still wondering about is how age fits into all this, mainly for Lloyd. I mean he had to have been born before Garmadon was sent to the Underworld, yet in season one he’s like, at oldest, 8 years old. So in the span of EIGHT years, Wu, Garmadon, and Misako aged at least 20 years. Honestly, Lloyd’s age and the comparative ages of the other characters just confounds me.
Hi Tanner, cheers for this amazing video! I want to signal you some errors though: Wu and Garmadon met Aspheera before the Great Devourer's bite. And their adventures also probably happened thousands of years after Aspheera's imprisonment, as in the books they're shown to be young adults. I'm pretty sure the FSM died many years before the birth of Misako, too.
I’m pretty sure the oni warlords didn’t go looking for the FSM, I’m pretty sure they were oni scouts. Especially since Mystaké was incredibly weak for an oni warlord.
Can you make a video recapping each serpentine tribe, and explaining why the serpentine didn't need the maaray and the Pyro vipers to find the fang blades, also did the og 5 serpentine tribes know about the maaray and the Pyro vipers
Who is Garmadon & Wu other parent? Is it possible that as the first spinjitzu master was oni & dragon, a source dragon helped create Garmadon & Wu? This would sort of explain why Lloyd can channel a source dragon. Newer to Ninjago lore please be gentle. (Seems to follow Disney trope when I was a kid of few moms alive. Lol)
I still don't understand something... It's been 40 years since Acronix and Krux's rebellion and we can see that Ray--Kai and Nya's father--looks pretty old already... And he only created a family something like 23 years later! Any explanation as to why any elemental master would wait more than 20 years to create a family with their partner? Jay's parents and Chen's family... Also, how did the master of ice transfer his powers to Zane?
he forgot when master wu met bonzol and made her feel better and turned into a skeleton also it didnt make sense that the ice emperor comes back before zane gains the power of ice
@@adilkhattout-px7dunot that time works differently, because while the ninja were there it was the same in ninjago but that aspheera blasted zane 60 years back in time
The FSM never created any realms as a whole, since that requires such great power only the Source Dragons have. The FSM only extended already existing realms, just like he did with Ninjago, which is a reformed/extended version of the realm where the Islanders and Merlopians lived before the arrival of the FSM. He used the power of creation to reform the land, which on one hand he already had by his half-dragon origin, and on the other hand he "boosted" it up by the Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu, which carryed the four elements of creation.
@@balintlaszlo530 not really he made ninjago as a child since he grew up he could have have gained enough power to be able to make realms from scratch and the weapons just acted as tools for him to channel his powers
@@monerb7185 If we consider the statement what's being said in the video, aka. that the Source Dragons brought (at least) the first realms into existance, then we can say that creating a brand new world requires such power only the Source Dragons have. @@balintlaszlo530 i mean the source dragons themselves couldn't stop it either all 8 of them needed to work together to create the cores so the fsm after growing could have eventually been able to make realms himself
@@monerb7185 True, they needed the power of all 7 Source Dragons to stop the coalesence... but by the same logic, creating a new realm can also be something that requires all of their powers. Wait, you said that in the never realm the ice emperor froze everything, but then you introduced Zane. But Zane was the ice emperor. I’m confused 12:40
I still don't understand how Misako gavd birth to Lloyd if Wu, Garmadon and her are around the same age and Wu is thousands of years old. They were young when Garmadon was banished to the underworld, so if Lloyd was born when they were young, then, does that mean Lloyd is about a thousand years old too? Wth

Can you make a video recapping each serpentine tribe, and explaining why the serpentine didn't need the maaray and the Pyro vipers to find the fang blades, also did the og 5 serpentine tribes know about the maaray and the Pyro vipers
when season 2 and stuff finishes up Id love to see the additon of the evil dark spinjutsu ninjas people being added into the lore videos
You’re a hero
Who is Garmadon & Wu other parent? Is it possible that as the first spinjitzu master was oni & dragon, a source dragon helped create Garmadon & Wu? This would sort of explain why Lloyd can channel a source dragon. Newer to Ninjago lore please be gentle. (Seems to follow Disney trope when I was a kid of few moms alive. Lol)
we don’t know. many say the fsm just created them
I still don't understand something...
Do an elemental power update.
he forgot when master wu met bonzol and made her feel better and turned into a skeleton
also it didnt make sense that the ice emperor comes back before zane gains the power of ice
you know in the never realm time works differently it was like 60 years back
@@adilkhattout-px7dunot that time works differently, because while the ninja were there it was the same in ninjago but that aspheera blasted zane 60 years back in time
If you think about it ninjago is just Minecraft and the first spinjitzu master is just trying to protect his build
Can u update this when Ninjago dragon rising season 2 comes out
So did FSM have the power to make realms, or did he just develop them after the source dragon created them?
The FSM never had as much and as great power as them, since if he'd had he could have used it to prevent the coalesence himself and wouldn't have needed to ask the Source Dragons for their powers.
Even more so that stopping the realms from merging only means stabilizing already existing worlds... while creating a new one from nothingness is a different and (I'd say) much greater action.
How old was Misako when she had Lloyd?
Hi
1:48 they should’ve had a match at SummerSlam for custody
I just wanna see what happened to Jay’s parents & the backstories of villains like Samukai
you should do an updated ninjago age
lloyds babyself was so goofy
Does anyone else consider prime empire to be a realm because I think it should count
No
@@Shadow_1287 why not
@@markglasses because it’s a game and games are not realms
I just thought it ticked all box's to count as a realm
@@markglassesits not a realm that the fsm or source dragons created
The ninja could've gotten almost every collectable in season 2
Peace be upon you, how are you, brother? We need some Arabic dubbing because your clips are very excellent. 😅❤❤❤
The cure was in FSM hands the whole time lol
Isn't it true that Wu and Garmadon found the cure for Garmadons illness but insed used to to save Nineckos life?
Didn't ras meet with Beatrix after the battle of the brothers?
😮😮😮🎉🎉 Finally seen His Face
wasnt the overlord fsm brother?
Is it just me or morro and tailung has the same backstory??
How is misako older than the bounty?
It was stated garmadon met Lloyd as a baby
I mean, it’s not like he could meet him while he’s still in the womb.
@@ExcuseMyWeebRudeness he did after he was born
So the 1st spinjistsu master prevented a natural occurence from happening thus creating years of pain instead of it just all ending.
He did rhe right thing
i have a question, what is golden power? is it the combination of oni and dragon powers or is it just the pinnacle of dragon power?
I would say dragon
it didnt take that long for him to overtake the venom did it?
About how old is ninjago?
Where is the Old TannerFishys!
Wait, you said that in the never realm the ice emperor froze everything, but then you introduced Zane. But Zane was the ice emperor. I’m confused 12:40
when going to the never realm zane goes bank in time and loses his memory
Uh there is a mistake. The emperor of ice doesn't come that earlier. It is shown when Vex first met the Ice Emperor aka Zane. So that is false.
But in TOE Garmadon say the first spinjitzu master passed his powers to the elementsl masters
Who is neneco
I still don't understand how Misako gavd birth to Lloyd if Wu, Garmadon and her are around the same age and Wu is thousands of years old. They were young when Garmadon was banished to the underworld, so if Lloyd was born when they were young, then, does that mean Lloyd is about a thousand years old too? Wth
misako is human and not thouswnds of years old meaning that garmadon and wu take longer to age and that wu and garmadon became so old in the span of 10 years
who will become the green ninja if loyd becomes the master?
Well the final battle ended so there’s no need for another prophesied green ninja
@@jplikesmaths you are right
technically who ever inherits energy after him which would have to be his kid
4:04 is her name "misstake?? 😂😂😂😂😂
I still have Ninjago in my country in Ireland there is crystalized
?
