I’m in second year at UCL and I can agree the pressure is real, it is very lonely at times ( I’m Muslim and don’t drink/ go clubbing) but you just have to find people you can relate to❤️

@@sarakhreawish6322 It's a really good uni. The facilities and libraries are top tier. However I would say the online learning and student support systems arent really advanced or worth the cost of uni, but thats the case with a lot of unis across the UK and their handling of the pandemic.

thank you for the first part !! i’m not really religious, my parents are christian tho. but i really hate going out to clubs/pubs late at night and drinking alcohol and i’m scared if i don’t in freshers week i will be seen as boring and not make any friends. i would much rather do the activities indoors

Applying to UCL, you need to submit personal statement with other documents,after getting offer letter you need to apply for scholarship Right? so, for scholarship, you need to submit a personal statement again, so can you submit the same personal statement that you submitted while applying for course or write or submit another personal statement. is there any affect of it?
can you tell me is it ok to ask your professor for acceptance letter by emailing by submiting documents to him rather than applying by ucas for UCL , will that affect on you admission.

Thank you and apologies for the late response. I applied for the scholarship very early on in the year, I think it was around June.
I’m in year 9 and really doing horribly at school even though I try this gives me motivation and a goal to get into ucl I have been stressed lately I really wanna do my best at gcse 😅😓 and the thought of being lonely 🙂
If it helps, I was doing awfully in every aspect of my life in year nine!! My grades were not the best but I persevered and did well in the end. Try your best but don’t drive yourself crazy over grades! As long as you show up and put in the work, you will be fine!

Go uni from home. I live in NW london and my older brother lives with us and goes Queen Mary UoL which is in East London. The amount of money you save is unbelievable.

hey how do u study if she wants to sleep and keep the lights off?
Good question 😂 when you live with someone, your routines naturally synchronise. We mostly slept around the same time and studied at the same time but on days when this wasn’t the case, I’d sit in the kitchen or study in the uni library which was near our place and open 24/7. Eventually we also bought eye masks and ear plugs for sleeping so if one of us wanted the light on it wouldn’t really be an issue. Hope that helps!

@Reee FlexThis has nothing to do with racism and more to do with being comfortable with the people you are around coming from a completely different area. Diversity is important especially when you are a minority such as myself
When you’re here it doesn’t seem like there’s many of us. I’m the only black student in my accom but ACS is very helpful in being able to network and meet your people

Hi my lovely, I don’t study Law so I’m not sure. Same goes for the question about halls. All I can say is don’t worry about all that! You will be fine as an ethnic minority, UCL in general is very diverse and people are so friendly! Just focus on what you want and all will be well ❤️

To my knowledge, UCL do not offer mixed sex twin rooms. They are all single sex meaning if you request a twin/shared room you will be paired with someone of the same sex.
