Love this fridge, but would really like to see them suspend that ice scoop in between usages. Very unsanitary to have everyone hold the scoop then toss it back in the ice. Thanks for the video.
DUAL COMPRESSOR’s in 800 series vs 500 series. Dual compressors seen in Subzero for 3 times the cost. One compressor for refr and one for freezer vs one compressor that struggles for both. That is why some foods are frozen on refrigerator side and less fruit/vegetable life. In Maui, appliances have shorter lifespan due to salt, humidity, etc. Bosch dishwasher and refrigerator/freeze hold up well. Bosch originally based on Whirlpool refri which still is standard for industry for durability. The Bosch makes all those long term safety items in car, as well as fuel Injectiom, etc. solid brand
Just because they both have dual compressors doesn't mean they're even close to being equal. Bosch is now made in China garbage. Sub Zero is made in the USA.

Would you expect Thermador Freedom French Door Bottom Mount Refrigerators to have the same reliability and availability of parts as this refrigerator? I was told that these Thermador models were the same as the Bosch with a few added features. I was wondering since they are now part of the same company and the appliances are so similar. How do you find the reliability of these brands?
Have you looked at the reliability of these two brands as posted on Consumer Reports? I did see that Bosch had a very good reliability rating but some people in the comments stated some surprising negative comments. Just a side note -- I had a Frigidaire with the ice and water on the door and the ice maker ALWAYS leaked into the fridge, deli drawer, and then into the water dispenser, dripping down the front of the door and onto the floor. After many service attempts to fix it, the store traded my fridge for another. It did the same thing. The store gave me a Whirlpool Gold. It did the same thing and after many service calls and parts replaced as well as a motherboard, it still leaked. Thankfully, we had purchased an extended warranty for the first time and it paid off. After 5 years with the problem, we were refunded our payment. I have yet to read a glowing review on any make/model under $4,000.
Do they have other styles of refrigerators? A more narrow top fridge bottom freezer?
Many styles.
That full width crisper drawer is very hard to open!!! It actually "locks" when you close it so opening with one hand makes you feel like the drawer will break. It bends and flexes when you pull because it sticks in the catches at the back of the slides. Total design flaw!! Otherwise, lots of great features.
No confidence in your review. Not a single downside? So then that will have to be Bosch's final fridge design.

@@gamerwhiz6847 Bosch always made me think Fine German engineering and build, but they are made in Mexico, so.... I'm sure Mexico makes a fine fridge and I'm sure Germany makes a fine enchilada , but cmon now. You dont go to your plumber for dental work.....
