Okay STOP 🛑! Archers ! This post has left out a few factors that make accuracy with a traditional bow possible! 1) The arrows are spined and tuned properly! Probably with 100 grain brass incerts and 200 grain field points. 2) The Bow is Black Widow and of amazingly high quality. 3) This Archer has close to perfect form. She draws the string between her eye and nose she lines up her daw arm elbow with the point of her arrow she has a slight canting of her bow to open up the sight window and her release is straight back. If you can do this you also are an amazing shot with traditional archery tackle! 🏹🦌! Enjoy!
Back in the 80s my ex and I use to go to a lot of shoots no 3D then just paper but lots of fun. I had some pictures of our daughter on my back in a carrier while I shot. Read Fred Bear’s book field notes and dropped the wheels and went to a recurve figured if he could kill anything in the world with a stick and string don’t need any wheels. I enjoy your videos thank for putting them out 👍🏻
Happy Sunday Morning. Thank you for posting and starting my day off right. I love these Traditional Shots YT videos. Being a recurve 3D shooter is cool; being a Mom is cooler; being a Mom shooting 3D with your daughter along is coolest (and a challenge, too).
Wow! You guys are awesome, so glad I found your channel. Not so many 3D shoots up here in Ontario Canada, I'm trying to set one up on my cousins property so we can practice with it. I agree about shooting at 40 yards, great practice. Your little one is adorable. Thanks :)
Great video!!!! I would like to ask, while in the Hall of fame, you shown a bow owned by the great Fred Bear. I once read that Fred's way of shooting instinctive was unique to him and not a style that he learned from someone else. I guess this is why there aren't any books written by him on the art of shooting instinctive. I notice that while at full draw. it looks like you're looking down the shaft of the arrow as a form of aiming. Is that the case and if so, what is your draw weight at full draw that you're holding back so long? again Great video!!!!
Your work on the pig at 40yards is really impressive. Bravo... at 30, I would be around that level... at 40, cold, early morning like that, there'd be a few in the tree and the hoof.
@@bansheesfather3778 practice practice practice... it'll come... pop out to 15 for a session, then come back into 10... and also, at the start, don't get hung up too much on accuracy till you've nailed your form (i mad this mistake)... spend time watching some Arne Mo... Kaminsky etc.... and video yourself...
Try taking that quiver off and see how your bow shots… you have that quiver placed right where the limbs works in the fade out. That can really hinder performance and accuracy
I'm really liking it. It is nice to aim with and does seem to add a bit of accuracy. I will say though, if I could only have 1 bow, I would just shoot off the shelf (less to worry about), but I do really like it!
youtube's been lacking this kind of content, im so glad i found you, love the video!

I really appreciate you saying that. Thank you very much!
You’re an awesome shot!!! Keep the footage rolling in 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Absolutely fantastic… 40 your point on? Love watching good form. You two are great… Katniss has super clean release!
My point on is 29-30 yards and I use my shelf for elevation at 40. Thanks!
@@the.traditionalshotsPlease can you tell us how you use your rack to shoot at 40 yards. Thank you.
And also please, with what power to shoot and total weight of the arrow? Thank you so much.
Luv the osage bow held up with the morning sunrise in the background. 🌄

Cute Family❤
Nice shooting!!!! That museum was awesome, would like to visit it sometime. Thanks for the foam milk jug tip, I’ll try it out!
Some great shots, black widow bows are the nuts 😊

Thanks! Yes, I aim with the tip of my arrow or the shelf for elevation. I draw to 26" and it is 41#.

I bought a Samick Sage about a fortnight ago and I'm happy if I shoot 10 yards like that! 😊

@@chtapodi73 Hey Brother, thank-you for responding and for some great advice. I can't believe how much fun a trad bow is!
@@bansheesfather3778 addictive... and oh so humbling and calming... which is why it's addictive
@@chtapodi73 Sure is!
Excellent shooting by both of you! What “aiming “ style do you use? I can see it’s not a fixed crawl.
I use the tip of my arrow for out to 30 yards, then use my shelf for 40 yards.
Great video, you guys are awesome. The Camo bow is 🔥
But the Osage, is king😂
Haha, I agree!
Is that a camo Black widow😮
I would cry if mine was spray painted 🤣🤣
Why don’t you have a gear list
Please share your experience with the 64" PLC?

Your bow is whispering. Do you find that the silencers that make contact with the limbs help allot?
Es una empresa o ustedes lo comercialisan
What poundage is your bow?
41# @ 26"
How you like the springy?I think I may have bw set my psa up for one

What Bow is that Camobow
Black Widow.
Black Widow PSA
What is the name of the bow and what power does it have if possible.
The yellow looking bow is the Black Widow PCH and it draws 41# @ 26" draw length. The camo bow is a Black Widow PSA 49# @ 28" draw.
@@the.traditionalshots Super cool thank you. Nice shots by the way
Are you warming up before shooting or just go straight cold
We don't warm up
@@the.traditionalshots You will in your 30s and beyond
American trad bows are only accurate cause that shelving, try an asiatic bow and you'll see the difference
Not trad bows they are Bare Bows as you are shooting off rest with plunger
Thank you for letting me know that lol.
