Man I cheesed the hell out of those heroic bosses: With Maexxna I locked the board with 1/1 spiders and then repeatedly healed myself. Druid hero ability and some chargers allows you to win before the overdraw kills you.

as stupid as it may sound, i am actually glad to see that you had some troubles with faerlina and maexxna ;) i was sitting there yesterday and really struggling at some point, eventually got faerlina with zoo and maexxna with a mage deck similar to yours ;)
If you let her fill the board with 1/1s you can out-heal her damage with Earthen Ring Farseer x 2 and Warr/Priest hero ability or Ancient of Lore and ERF. Then it's just a matter of killing her with chargers.
I beat her with a paladin deck with a bunch of vodoo doctors, those 2/1 chargers, earthen rings, and guardian of kings. She filled the board with 1 attack minions so I just kept healing for 8 every turn and Leeroying her and I won. It took a while to build the right deck though.
Beating Maexxna is pretty simple. Play as Hunter, go with unleash the hounds, get alot of charging dogs all the time, and use secrets to prevent all the damage from enemy minions :)
I did it without alex as well: First boss with ramp druid (lots of taunts, mark of the wild etc.), no legendaries (but the epic trees). Second with standard zoolock, no legendaries. Third with priest, voodoodoctor, earthenring farseer, priestess of elune, Showdowwords/Holy Fire to remove anything that isn't a 1 attack and Leeroy to fill his board with more 1/1s and deal damage, I guess arcane golem would work as well.
I managed to do it with 3 simple cards. Guardian of Kings, Arcane Golem and Earthen Ring Farseer. The trick is to get all the enemies minions to 1 damage, so you take 7 damage per turn. Use your other 27 cards to stall to 10 mana. Guardian of Kings + Earthen Ring heals 9 damage. Arcane golems deals 4 damage. It's quite a lengthy game, the opponent died of fatigue in the end.
play hunter with unleash... and tons of 1-2 mana battle cry cards +explosive trap with bit card luck you win easily... no legs required only knive juggler and even that you dont need
NnoittraJiruga That's exactly how I did it. I stabilized at 1 life and finally killed her after 27 total turns (she had just taken her first fatigue and I had one card left to draw).
Thx for the last Mage deck...so op with Voodoo doctor and Earthern 'Ring Farseer...they went back into my hand all the way to 9 Mana while I was freezing his 1/1 spiders...basically blocked his hand with only 7 damage per turn. If anyone interesting in beating faerlina or maexxna heroic mode with not expensive deck (legendaries are replaceable and not necessary , it's all about the gameplay ) you can check last video on my channel. It's russian commentary though but you can ignore the sound and check the gameplay of these decks.
I found a fun strat for Maexxna, works with warrior, probably druid and priest too. Use cleaves/whirlwinds/weapons to force the boss to fill his board with spiderlings (other 1/x drops also work), now, with 2x farseers and hero power, you will be getting 8 hp each turn, and taking 7 at most, don't play more than 2 minions every turn, you really need those 2 farseers to bounce back every turn to your hand, alternate them with 4/3 charger/arathi weaponsmith to deal damage, i ended up winning by exhaustion with 1 hp left, but as long as you keep a cool head, once you establish board control (this is probably the only time ever, where "board control" means that enemy has his board full, and your is empty) and draw both farseers, you're golden:). The plus is, that the core of this deck are commons/basics.

Though he should be more liberal with Frostbolting the Shades, as you can finish the game post-Alex with a Nova/Fireball and Pyro, Ice Block is just extra. Letting her keep the board full with
I've got some all common/rare decks that I used to complete Heroic several times, no legendaries. Control Priest for Anub-Rakhar, Aggro Paladin for Faerlina and Warrior for Maexxna. I guess I should post them since a lot of people seem to still be looking for tips. I did post decklists to Hearthstone Power Hour on Facebook, but I don't know if they show for the public. Not sure what I should use to record the screen though. Alex is great if you have her, but I think its good to think about how to handle the challenges without a top-tier collection. - Anub-Rakhar is mostly about 4/5... stuff to trade favorably with his spawns and survive ShadowFlame. Sunwalker is also great here. You'll take some beats early, but a couple solid taunt minions help you get it back. Circle of Healing + Injured Blademaster is your best bet for any sort of early board control. - Heroic Faerlina is well done with zoo, but I found Paladin to be a little more favorable. She drops a lot of tough minions fast, so equality-pyromancer is great for getting the board back under your control (and 2 cards out of your hand). Noble Sacrifice is nice when it keeps you and your minions from taking hard shots to the face and gets out of your hand quickly. Guardian of Kings helps you stabilize after taking your beatings. There comes a point where your hand is basically empty and you start taking the game back. - Maexxna can take some finesse. Taskmasters, elven archers and Whirlwind are great for clearing the early board since you can't keep anything on the table. Armorsmith and Shield Block do a lot to keep you alive during the barrage, and execute is for the Sea Giant that inevitably drops. Warsong Commander and Arathi Weaponsmith help your mid-game, and eventually Maex runs out of steam.
The deck you ended up creating to defeat MyExna was almost exactly the deck that I also built to defeat her, after first trying hunter and failing - however I don't have Alexstrasza, iceblocks or pyroblast, instead I had some charge minions. Obviously Alex makes the battle much easier.
Heroic Maexxna was the ONLY easy one for me. I just played Healadin. If you can force her board full of 1/1's from the dead Haunted Creepers, then just play Earthen Ring Farseer and Guardian of Kings until she Fatigues. (You may require some extra damage, like a Truesilver champion and/or Hammer of Wrath.)
Around the 24:30 minute mark he comments "this must be the lag you guys were talking about." No, Trump, not even close. Multiply that by 10 and you have the quickest turn I've been able to get in the past 24 hours. Every single move, from placing a minion to waiting to use my hero ability takes 15 seconds minimum. I have no idea how Trump and the other youtubers that I watch aren't having massive lag problems. Even at 2am here the game was completely unplayable. I'm not complaining or anything. I figured the servers would be bogged down at first and I'm in no rush to finish this wing right away. It's just weird to see that not everyone is having the same issues.
I love how everyone is complaining that he used Alexstrasza to win the last game. He's playing freeze mage so he needs Alex to bring Maexxna down for the finish. For those of you complaining about not being able to beat the HC without legendary cards, your only lying to yourself. I beat all three HC with no legendary cards in about an hour. For Anub you need a strong minion deck and I suggest either druid or priest with lots of buffs. Sunwalker is also super good because it can 3 for 1 the 4/4's. For Faerlina you need to use a small minion deck. You can try out hunter aggro or zoo as both take her out pretty effectively. I did find her to be the hardest of the three so it may take a few tries to beat her. Maexanna only took me one try after I figured out how she works. Use paladin and run 2 consecrations to blast those spiders early on. This floods her board with 1/1's. Then use earthen ring farseer and guardian of kings to keep healing and run wolfrider or arcane golem for damage. It takes a little while but she has no spells in her deck so as long as you can out last her it shouldn't be a problem. Also run humility and aldor peacekeeper in case she plays a sea giant.
Got Maexxna with mage with a lot of cheap battlecry minions (archer, doctor, far seer, mct, sharpshooter, shooter, owl and spellbreaker) and AOE. Since she always use hero ability at the start of the turn, you can recast your minions indefinetely and stay in the game with heal, arcane, blizzard, nova. Once you steal enough minions, you stabilize and get ahead pretty quickly.
So if i buy the whole naxx thing i can play it whenever i want? Does it ever end or do i have certain amount of time to complete these challenges? So many questions with very little answers.
I beat the last boss first try with a face hunter, owl is amazing because you get a 2 mana silence every turn and unleash is amazing against all the low health creatures not to mention explosive trap.
Guys, I've beaten all 3 of them but I'm curious about the 3rd one. Is it at all possible to say, coldlight oracle the opponent to death somehow? You know those players running around with those strange decks that try to deck you out. Can a variation of that be tried here? Can't seem to find anyone who has posted this style on youtube for Maexna.
My approach was with paladin: first fill the enemy's minion slots with 1 attack cards so you take 7 damage every turn... and then you just need a 3 card combo.. guardian with witchdoctor to +1 heal every turn, and when you're in the good, guardian + wolfraider for -1 damage to you and 3 damage to the boss every turn
I beat Maexxna with a pally deck running voodoo doc and earthen ring, and also threw in a few elven archers and mind control tech. just heal thru and wipe the board whenever you can, then later in the game throw out as many low cost minions as you can, sometimes stealing hers, and start slowly burning her down. she runs out of cards fast if you keep the board fairly clear, and she wastes her removal on low cost cards if any of them stay on the board for a turn. once you have a full board and shes out of cards in hand it goes pretty smoothly after that, though its a good idea to have a way to clear the sea giant. Grand Widow Faerlina is simple if you just rush her and keep her from having any injured creatures on the field for more than a turn. i used a warrior aggro deck, the armor helps early on if you get a bad draw. Anub'rekhan went down to a pally control deck pretty easy. Truesilver Champions help keep his tokens off the field.
Interesting. I used freeze mage, but only kept Thalnos and added two Kobolds as minion cards. Then either one of those + Arcane Explosion on turn 4 = 7 dmg/turn board. Stalling until turn 9 was a piece of cake. Then Alex and finish. I like the healing solution more though. Looks more fun.
Got herpic Maex with a hunter, mixed in voodoo fpr early self heal and murloc raider for the 0 drop he summons. That plus an irnobeak to keep her minions at bay, then two mind controll techs to grab some more stuff for my board (like the gigant)
What did everyone beat the legendaries with? Mine was: Anub - Paladin with tons of removal and 4 damage combos Fraelina - to the face warrior giant spider - hunter with charge beasts and removal spells
Just used prist))) Voodoo Doctor + Wild Pyromancer + Ironbeak Owl + Mad Bomber and Holy Nova with some 1-3 mana spells for Pyromancer)))) works very nice)))
The Most Valuable Card for me is the Elven Archer for the last Heroic Boss. 1 mana 1 damage every single turn. Helps to kill those annoying little spiders!
thenayxas I used archers with Cone of cold, arcane explosions to keep the board clear as much as possible while waiting to play Alextrasza and set the stage for the deathblow.
I have a golden tink master he was my first legendary but since he did get nerfed a while back he just kind of sits in my card collection doing nothing so I was wondering if it would be worth it to disenchant him to make Alexstrasza.
I went control Paladin on the first boss - went for face with blessed of kings minions and truesilvers and cleared bord with equality consecration. Second boss - went agro/armor warrior with enrage minions and armoursmiths. Third boss - went hunter for the damage every turn. Crucial deck parts - cheap charge minions (oink oink, charging murloc, wolf rider and arcane golem), voodoo doctors, owls for the silence of taunts, doggies and explosive traps for board clear, elven archers and abusive seargents for extra damage. I'm writing this as hints for people who don't own all cards (especially Alextrassa which is OP against these bosses and clearly makes every matchup much easier)
To beat Maexxna You can also run a face hunter deck with leeroy (i dont have alex either). Usually if you are able to pull an explosive trap early to play on the turn that it throws down the 2x2 with stealth or a dire wolf and then again at the end to buy yourself an extra turn you can rush down. Just get low cost charge minions with abusive until you can use leeroy and of course tracking to help you get your abusive, leeroy and explosives. Fill out with the typical face hunter stuff like unleash, timberwolves, buzzard, kill command.
The easiest way I found to beat Maexxna was the guy maker deck with the Voodoo and Earthen Ring, but I like the mage deck for it too. EDIT: I see you also added the voodoo and the earthen ring to the mage deck.
Am I correct in assuming you can unlock the cards and rewards at your own pace? I don't have the cards to beat heroic mode. The gold I have I'm saving for unlocking the future wings. So it would be awhile before I craft what I need to beat them.
I found Maexxna to be fairly easy compared to grand widow. I beat her with a rexxar deck designed to draw rapidly draw cards. Using timber wolf with unleash the hounds while she has her bored filled is pretty good. Plus the hounds keep getting returned to your hand so you always have nice little 1/1 charges to play. I found it to be a pretty nice strat none the less!
Watcher/Token Druids + healing classes like control Priests and Paladins beat Anub and Faerlina quite nicely Alextrasza is really gold, I dont have it and control Paladin with Kodos, Elven Archers, Earthen Ring Farseers, Pyros and even Mind Control Tech won it for me. Once I gained board control she ran out of cards and couldnt remove my stuff! Pyros in Priest must be also perfect for AoEing those spiders! I wanted to try that if I fail with Paladin :)
For Maexxna heroic mode, I played priest... As soon as she filled her board with those spiders I killed them and made her flood the board with 1/1 spiders. Anything with one attack will do. I had a bunch of damage spells and heal myself minions. I don't have many legendaries so I stuck with a really strange strategy lol. So basically 2 earthen ring farseers that get bounced back and heal myself at turn 8 for a net gain of +1 health per cycle. Then when we got to the end of our decks I put down shieldbearers earthen ring farseers and the like. Anyway I barely beat her without any legendaries or alexstrasza... the key card is to beat her is Alexstrasza in my opininon.
Zoo, Agro, Rush decks work on all bosses except the last one on heroic. For that turn her hero power into an advantage by making use of minions with charge and battle cries that gain you health or do damage to enemies.
One way to beat maexxna with basic cards: 1. Play Pali (we're gonna play the fatigue game) 2. Have a deck with guardian of kings + voodoo doctors + wolf rider 3. Rest of the cards can be whatever you like (all minions must have charge) Strategy: 1. Kill spiders with charge minions and fill up maexxna's board with 7 1/1 spiders (or anything similar to this) 2. turn 7 and onwards play guardian of kings every turn. 3. turn 8 guardian + voodoo 4. turn 9 guardian + bluegill/voodoo (which ever fits the situation) 5. turn 10 guardian + wolfrider/voodoo (which ever fits the situation)
I beat Maexxna on heroic 1st time with no healing with my face hunter deck. I used explosive trap on turn 3 which left the board filled with 1/1 spideys, then some unleash combos got me the win relatively easily. Haven't beat the other 2 yet and am looking forward to the challenge, my lack of Alex stops me using the freeze mage strat and those 4/4's are a ***** lol
Alextrasza and Elven Archer, other 28 cards are stall/heals Set her at 15 turn 9, get bounced back, deal 1 damage a turn and heal to 15 every turn on 10 mana, it works!... Eventually. And yes, this does use Alextrasza, yes I got good draws into it to do it as well.
Damage battlecries on Hunter work well when she keeps returning your cards. You get to clear her board pretty early, then just deal triple damage each turn.
Forgot about Naxxramas being implemented, went in and beat heroic today, was so much fun. Used: Anub > Murloc Warlock Faerlina > Enrage Warrior Maexxna > Battlecry Priest
I have an idea for the monk hero power, please tell me if you think it's a cool idea - 3 mana heropower, choose a hero power of a champion & use it immediately.
you have 2 options either go face hunter so alot of charge minions or you go with healing minion combined with charge ( tip: let the enemy board fill up with 1 att minions so you can heal more)
Wow, can't believe that Anub run he doesn't use skitter till turn 6. When I was doing him it was Turn 1 - Coin, skitter. Turn 2 - Skitter. Turn 3 - Skitter, Deathcharger... etc
You don't get the cardback until you beat ALL Heroic Mode bosses, so gotta wait another 3 weeks minimum for the other 3 quarters. Also that was kinda painful on the stream watching him struggle with Maexna - I personally lack the cards (which is frustrating) but Control Warrior makes short work of her. Or even just Priest with Baron Geddon.
Oh right, seems legit. I was helping my friend yesterday againts Anub'Rekan. He was playing freeze mage. Trump uses 1 mirror image and 1 frost nova and 24 hp 5th turn. We used double mirror and a fireball and 14 hp 5th turn. The Ai againts trump didnt even coin out hero ability...
People complaining about having no legendaries to beat the 3th boss, Lol. 3 cards guys, 3 cards: Arcane golem / voodoo docter and priest heal. Kill the begin spiders to swarm the board with 1/1's doing 7 damage each turn to you. Voodoo docter + priest heal (pick priest) + 3/3 minion that heals 3 = 7 heal each turn. Congratz. You can't die after turn 5. Combine this with some spells and attack minions and done.
My Maexxna build was essentially a battlecry swarm deck with no draw power of 1-3 cost cards. Bomber and the healers got mad value since every turn I would do damage and heal.
I think a good strategy for heroic Maexxna is to kill the spiders at the first, so within the first two turns her board is almost always flooded with exclusively 1 damage minions. And Voodoo Doctors of course.
I did use the vodoo and farseer for healing abuse with the paladin,had a good draw and was lucky that maexxna had only 1 attack guys on the board,once i got to 10 mana i used a pretty nice Guardian of Kings + Arcane Golem combo to finish him off,works good,it's cheap,no legends or epics in the deck

Noble Sacrifice is nice when it keeps you and your minions from taking hard shots to the face and gets out of your hand quickly. Guardian of Kings helps you stabilize after taking your beatings. There comes a point where your hand is basically empty and you start taking the game back.
- Maexxna can take some finesse. Taskmasters, elven archers and Whirlwind are great for clearing the early board since you can't keep anything on the table. Armorsmith and Shield Block do a lot to keep you alive during the barrage, and execute is for the Sea Giant that inevitably drops. Warsong Commander and Arathi Weaponsmith help your mid-game, and eventually Maex runs out of steam.

The deck you ended up creating to defeat MyExna was almost exactly the deck that I also built to defeat her, after first trying hunter and failing - however I don't have Alexstrasza, iceblocks or pyroblast, instead I had some charge minions. Obviously Alex makes the battle much easier.

Heroic Maexxna was the ONLY easy one for me. I just played Healadin. If you can force her board full of 1/1's from the dead Haunted Creepers, then just play Earthen Ring Farseer and Guardian of Kings until she Fatigues. (You may require some extra damage, like a Truesilver champion and/or Hammer of Wrath.)
Around the 24:30 minute mark he comments "this must be the lag you guys were talking about." No, Trump, not even close. Multiply that by 10 and you have the quickest turn I've been able to get in the past 24 hours. Every single move, from placing a minion to waiting to use my hero ability takes 15 seconds minimum. I have no idea how Trump and the other youtubers that I watch aren't having massive lag problems. Even at 2am here the game was completely unplayable.
I'm not complaining or anything. I figured the servers would be bogged down at first and I'm in no rush to finish this wing right away. It's just weird to see that not everyone is having the same issues.
I love how everyone is complaining that he used Alexstrasza to win the last game. He's playing freeze mage so he needs Alex to bring Maexxna down for the finish.
For those of you complaining about not being able to beat the HC without legendary cards, your only lying to yourself. I beat all three HC with no legendary cards in about an hour.
For Anub you need a strong minion deck and I suggest either druid or priest with lots of buffs. Sunwalker is also super good because it can 3 for 1 the 4/4's.
For Faerlina you need to use a small minion deck. You can try out hunter aggro or zoo as both take her out pretty effectively. I did find her to be the hardest of the three so it may take a few tries to beat her.
Maexanna only took me one try after I figured out how she works. Use paladin and run 2 consecrations to blast those spiders early on. This floods her board with 1/1's. Then use earthen ring farseer and guardian of kings to keep healing and run wolfrider or arcane golem for damage. It takes a little while but she has no spells in her deck so as long as you can out last her it shouldn't be a problem. Also run humility and aldor peacekeeper in case she plays a sea giant.
Got Maexxna with mage with a lot of cheap battlecry minions (archer, doctor, far seer, mct, sharpshooter, shooter, owl and spellbreaker) and AOE. Since she always use hero ability at the start of the turn, you can recast your minions indefinetely and stay in the game with heal, arcane, blizzard, nova. Once you steal enough minions, you stabilize and get ahead pretty quickly.
So if i buy the whole naxx thing i can play it whenever i want? Does it ever end or do i have certain amount of time to complete these challenges? So many questions with very little answers.
I beat the last boss first try with a face hunter, owl is amazing because you get a 2 mana silence every turn and unleash is amazing against all the low health creatures not to mention explosive trap.
Guys, I've beaten all 3 of them but I'm curious about the 3rd one. Is it at all possible to say, coldlight oracle the opponent to death somehow? You know those players running around with those strange decks that try to deck you out. Can a variation of that be tried here? Can't seem to find anyone who has posted this style on youtube for Maexna.
My approach was with paladin: first fill the enemy's minion slots with 1 attack cards so you take 7 damage every turn... and then you just need a 3 card combo.. guardian with witchdoctor to +1 heal every turn, and when you're in the good, guardian + wolfraider for -1 damage to you and 3 damage to the boss every turn
Voodoo Doctor and Ironbeak Owl won me the heroic Maexxna :P
Also a bunch of charge and traps.

I beat Maexxna with a pally deck running voodoo doc and earthen ring, and also threw in a few elven archers and mind control tech. just heal thru and wipe the board whenever you can, then later in the game throw out as many low cost minions as you can, sometimes stealing hers, and start slowly burning her down. she runs out of cards fast if you keep the board fairly clear, and she wastes her removal on low cost cards if any of them stay on the board for a turn. once you have a full board and shes out of cards in hand it goes pretty smoothly after that, though its a good idea to have a way to clear the sea giant. Grand Widow Faerlina is simple if you just rush her and keep her from having any injured creatures on the field for more than a turn. i used a warrior aggro deck, the armor helps early on if you get a bad draw. Anub'rekhan went down to a pally control deck pretty easy. Truesilver Champions help keep his tokens off the field.
Interesting. I used freeze mage, but only kept Thalnos and added two Kobolds as minion cards. Then either one of those + Arcane Explosion on turn 4 = 7 dmg/turn board. Stalling until turn 9 was a piece of cake. Then Alex and finish. I like the healing solution more though. Looks more fun.
Is it just me, or does the Sludge Belcher say the exact same thing when played as the Razorfen Hunter does when attacking, but in a different voice?
Got herpic Maex with a hunter, mixed in voodoo fpr early self heal and murloc raider for the 0 drop he summons. That plus an irnobeak to keep her minions at bay, then two mind controll techs to grab some more stuff for my board (like the gigant)
What did everyone beat the legendaries with?
Mine was:
Anub - Paladin with tons of removal and 4 damage combos
Fraelina - to the face warrior
giant spider - hunter with charge beasts and removal spells
so you get the card back just from defeating the first wing in heroic?
Trump How do you put the left-hand side decklisting to your stream?
Just used prist))) Voodoo Doctor + Wild Pyromancer + Ironbeak Owl + Mad Bomber and Holy Nova with some 1-3 mana spells for Pyromancer)))) works very nice)))
The Most Valuable Card for me is the Elven Archer for the last Heroic Boss. 1 mana 1 damage every single turn. Helps to kill those annoying little spiders!
tried to do it with owls and archers, but unfortunately, spiders aren't the biggest problem
thenayxas I used archers with Cone of cold, arcane explosions to keep the board clear as much as possible while waiting to play Alextrasza and set the stage for the deathblow.

I have a golden tink master he was my first legendary but since he did get nerfed a while back he just kind of sits in my card collection doing nothing so I was wondering if it would be worth it to disenchant him to make Alexstrasza.
i havent tested it yet but would warrior with warsong combo flesh ghoul and whirlwind to clear those small picks and damage burst not work?
I went control Paladin on the first boss - went for face with blessed of kings minions and truesilvers and cleared bord with equality consecration.
Second boss - went agro/armor warrior with enrage minions and armoursmiths.
Third boss - went hunter for the damage every turn. Crucial deck parts - cheap charge minions (oink oink, charging murloc, wolf rider and arcane golem), voodoo doctors, owls for the silence of taunts, doggies and explosive traps for board clear, elven archers and abusive seargents for extra damage.
I'm writing this as hints for people who don't own all cards (especially Alextrassa which is OP against these bosses and clearly makes every matchup much easier)

To beat Maexxna You can also run a face hunter deck with leeroy (i dont have alex either). Usually if you are able to pull an explosive trap early to play on the turn that it throws down the 2x2 with stealth or a dire wolf and then again at the end to buy yourself an extra turn you can rush down.
Just get low cost charge minions with abusive until you can use leeroy and of course tracking to help you get your abusive, leeroy and explosives. Fill out with the typical face hunter stuff like unleash, timberwolves, buzzard, kill command.
The easiest way I found to beat Maexxna was the guy maker deck with the Voodoo and Earthen Ring, but I like the mage deck for it too.

Am I correct in assuming you can unlock the cards and rewards at your own pace? I don't have the cards to beat heroic mode. The gold I have I'm saving for unlocking the future wings. So it would be awhile before I craft what I need to beat them.
Heroic mode is pointless. Rewards you with card pack after you beat all heroic heroes.
I found Maexxna to be fairly easy compared to grand widow. I beat her with a rexxar deck designed to draw rapidly draw cards. Using timber wolf with unleash the hounds while she has her bored filled is pretty good. Plus the hounds keep getting returned to your hand so you always have nice little 1/1 charges to play. I found it to be a pretty nice strat none the less!
Watcher/Token Druids + healing classes like control Priests and Paladins beat Anub and Faerlina quite nicely
Alextrasza is really gold, I dont have it and control Paladin with Kodos, Elven Archers, Earthen Ring Farseers, Pyros and even Mind Control Tech won it for me. Once I gained board control she ran out of cards and couldnt remove my stuff!
Pyros in Priest must be also perfect for AoEing those spiders! I wanted to try that if I fail with Paladin :)
For Maexxna heroic mode, I played priest... As soon as she filled her board with those spiders I killed them and made her flood the board with 1/1 spiders. Anything with one attack will do. I had a bunch of damage spells and heal myself minions. I don't have many legendaries so I stuck with a really strange strategy lol. So basically 2 earthen ring farseers that get bounced back and heal myself at turn 8 for a net gain of +1 health per cycle. Then when we got to the end of our decks I put down shieldbearers earthen ring farseers and the like. Anyway I barely beat her without any legendaries or alexstrasza... the key card is to beat her is Alexstrasza in my opininon.
Zoo, Agro, Rush decks work on all bosses except the last one on heroic. For that turn her hero power into an advantage by making use of minions with charge and battle cries that gain you health or do damage to enemies.
When you finished Heroic, there aren´t any revard like in Normal mod ? I ask becose i don´t defeat Maexxna in heroic.
Is it possible to defeat these heroic bosses with any other hero than Mage? and yea without Alexstraza?
Kolento paladin worked for me first try. 1 mana guys build up, and returning Guardian of Kings, Kodo, etc is really good
One way to beat maexxna with basic cards:
1. Play Pali (we're gonna play the fatigue game)
2. Have a deck with guardian of kings + voodoo doctors + wolf rider
3. Rest of the cards can be whatever you like (all minions must have charge)
Strategy:
1. Kill spiders with charge minions and fill up maexxna's board with 7 1/1 spiders (or anything similar to this)
2. turn 7 and onwards play guardian of kings every turn.
3. turn 8 guardian + voodoo
4. turn 9 guardian + bluegill/voodoo (which ever fits the situation)
5. turn 10 guardian + wolfrider/voodoo (which ever fits the situation)
what's scarier than a big ole hairy spider? a big ole hairy spider that has tiny spiders for blood
I beat Maexxna on heroic 1st time with no healing with my face hunter deck. I used explosive trap on turn 3 which left the board filled with 1/1 spideys, then some unleash combos got me the win relatively easily. Haven't beat the other 2 yet and am looking forward to the challenge, my lack of Alex stops me using the freeze mage strat and those 4/4's are a ***** lol

Alextrasza and Elven Archer, other 28 cards are stall/heals
Set her at 15 turn 9, get bounced back, deal 1 damage a turn and heal to 15 every turn on 10 mana, it works!... Eventually.
And yes, this does use Alextrasza, yes I got good draws into it to do it as well.
Damage battlecries on Hunter work well when she keeps returning your cards. You get to clear her board pretty early, then just deal triple damage each turn.
Forgot about Naxxramas being implemented, went in and beat heroic today, was so much fun. Used:
Anub > Murloc Warlock
Faerlina > Enrage Warrior
Maexxna > Battlecry Priest

you have 2 options either go face hunter so alot of charge minions or you go with healing minion combined with charge ( tip: let the enemy board fill up with 1 att minions so you can heal more)
Wow, can't believe that Anub run he doesn't use skitter till turn 6. When I was doing him it was Turn 1 - Coin, skitter. Turn 2 - Skitter. Turn 3 - Skitter, Deathcharger... etc
You don't get the cardback until you beat ALL Heroic Mode bosses, so gotta wait another 3 weeks minimum for the other 3 quarters.
Also that was kinda painful on the stream watching him struggle with Maexna - I personally lack the cards (which is frustrating) but Control Warrior makes short work of her. Or even just Priest with Baron Geddon.

I was helping my friend yesterday againts Anub'Rekan. He was playing freeze mage. Trump uses 1 mirror image and 1 frost nova and 24 hp 5th turn.
We used double mirror and a fireball and 14 hp 5th turn.
The Ai againts trump didnt even coin out hero ability...
People complaining about having no legendaries to beat the 3th boss, Lol. 3 cards guys, 3 cards: Arcane golem / voodoo docter and priest heal. Kill the begin spiders to swarm the board with 1/1's doing 7 damage each turn to you. Voodoo docter + priest heal (pick priest) + 3/3 minion that heals 3 = 7 heal each turn. Congratz. You can't die after turn 5. Combine this with some spells and attack minions and done.
My Maexxna build was essentially a battlecry swarm deck with no draw power of 1-3 cost cards. Bomber and the healers got mad value since every turn I would do damage and heal.
Throw in a few knife jugglers and wisps and you can end up doing 10 damage to them a turn
Handlock is incredibly good against Anub'Rekhan :P
Man, you'd get a Hellfire or two. It's perfect for Naxx cards.
I think a good strategy for heroic Maexxna is to kill the spiders at the first, so within the first two turns her board is almost always flooded with exclusively 1 damage minions. And Voodoo Doctors of course.
I did use the vodoo and farseer for healing abuse with the paladin,had a good draw and was lucky that maexxna had only 1 attack guys on the board,once i got to 10 mana i used a pretty nice Guardian of Kings + Arcane Golem combo to finish him off,works good,it's cheap,no legends or epics in the deck
