- Jenny reviews the much-anticipated 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross in its Australian guise! Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE for more car reviews.
With options like 2WD or AWD, petrol or hybrid powertrains, the Corolla Cross starts at an MSRP of $33k for the 2WD GX petrol variant. It's packed with current tech & features. Sporting a sleek look, it's nestled between the Yaris Cross & RAV4. Expect slimline LED lights, an assertive grill, and 17 or 18-inch alloys. Watch for oversized side mirrors!
Choose a 2.0L petrol engine or a more efficient hybrid with a 2.0L Atkinson cycle engine + electric motor. The hybrid shines with low fuel consumption & better acceleration.
Enjoy spacious interiors with leather-accented driver's seats, panoramic glass roof, multimedia system with up to 10.5-inch display, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. Packed with Toyota Safety Sense features including lane change assist & safe exit assist. GXL & Atmos trims have additional perks like a panoramic view monitor.
Ranges from $33,000 for the GX Petrol to $49,050 for the top trim Atmos Hybrid AWD. A fantastic small SUV with amazing features & options. A solid contender in the subcompact category by Toyota.

Great review Jenny.
I love the large side mirrors.
I can't believe how tiny some of the mirrors are on vehicles, you can't see anyting.
I think Jenny is still stunning but the 2023 Cross has nothing to surprise...😊
👍😁
Go Jenny
Great Review ❤
Great production again. I like the honesty about what’s good and what’s not 😊
The wing mirror resemble ROBODEBT Stuart Robert ex MP.
This will be my first Toyota.
Great car 🎉 I have the atmos awd hybrid and cant falt this car . I love it❤
I've heard many good things about it from drivers
i just orded the new middle of the range gxl toyota corolla cross hybrid 2wd with the jungle khaki colour but it a 12 mounth wait for delivery for me to wait
hey Jenny, always good to see you, great car but not available at the moment due to supply chain issues, 18-24 months my dealer told me for the hybrid, ouch!! ps, hope you had a nanna nap after this, you seem tired
Thanks and yes, supply issues abound :( I was unwell here, sorry if a bit flat 🥺
This vehicle looks like many shades of non-kinky grey. Oh look, the interior is grey! And the performance? Grey!
The hybrid model is better? Says it all ...
On the whole, I think I prefer Simone's electric bike! At least it was orange ...
I'm liking all OF IT..
Not impressed with the reference to Charles. That sets a very low bar.
Test drove one of these. Toyota New Zealand calls the Atmos version from Australia, the Limited version, and only sells the Hybrid versions of the Corolla Cross. Toyota New Zealand charges NZ$43K (GX), NZ$45K (GXL), NZ$49K (Limited), NZ$53K (4WD Limited). All with 2.0L petrol engine (better than 1.8L) with a 1kWh hybrid battery (total output a respectable 146kWh). Def makes noticeably less revs than the Corolla hatch.
YEA BABY!!!!!!
What do we have to do to finally get a review with Amelia again ??
The last one was 8 (!) months ago and only a few before that were well over a year.
Amelia has been busy with mummy duties, but you'll hopefully see more of her very soon :)
@@edenakasha7574 Thanks - really pleased you replied Jenny.
It was always the different views and your sense of humor that distinguished your channel. In general, you girls are doing a great job.
Especially from another continent, watching is fun and interesting. You deserve way more subscirbers. Keep it up!!
Every car looks pretty when you are in it
This Corolla cross if in between the RAV4 and CHR, Yaris cross.I wish the waiting list goes away, the dealerships have the customers now by their nuts, if you want it it's this price otherwise go and but a Hyundai or Kia. Can't beat Toyotas reliability and specially the Hybrid system. I love when she says when you put your foot down the car struggles, it's a 4 cylinder 2.0l engine not turbo charged or a V8. Buy a Hybrid and you can't go wrong. I'm 6ft and the back seats are very comfy.
The winter fit🥾🥾🔥
Look it
2:46 correction: it’s not a panoramic sunroof. It’s a fixed glass roof, with electronic opening/closing blind. And Jenny what’s going on??? You seem to have a can’t be bothered attitude!
Thank you Jenny. Prehaps the petrol version of the Corolla Cross could have the Toyota Camry 2.5L engine.
Nice, but nothing to distinguish it from all the other small SUV's.
whats the color of the one you are riding? is that moondust grey or jungle khaki?
Enjoyed the honest review that Jenny gives. I think Jenny should be given a more upscale car to review to better suit her Knowledge about vehicles.
Nice video, thanks for sharing. You havent shown really the space tyre, I have seen other videos where it mentioned it doesnt came with spare tyre. is this true ?
The front wheel drive Corolla Cross comes with a spare tyre while the all wheel drive models do not. The reason is there is a power cable placed in the wheel well of the AWD cars. You’d think Toyota could have routed the cable somewhere else but they did not.
In the US the Corolla Cross is made in the same factory as the CX-50 in Alabama. The CX-50 costs more and handles better, and is designed to have a lot of weight on a roof rack, and only a gasoline engine for now. The Corolla Cross has a hybrid option now, but the high demand makes it an order and wait vehicle like the Ford Maverick truck. Like Ford, Toyota is hoping you will buy a more expensive vehicle from them sooner, that they get a bigger profit from.
Australia is close to Japan and we use right hand drive like Japanese hence all ours are made in Japan which gives a buyer's a lot of confidence, not sure about Americans build quality, we get Chevy and Ram trucks made in USA here and their reliability is terrible😢
thank good review
This car is so dull and uninspiring

Hi Jenny ❤you
WOKE REVIEW 😂
miaw wow 😍
Why Toyota is more focussing on hybrid cars than to pure electric ones?
.
I'm here in India. They ( Toyota) recently launched a 7 seater family MPV in hybrid version when every other car companies are busy on working with electric ones.
.
I'm so sorry you had to drive and review this thing.
looks better than a c-hr you say? you must be joking...
Just 'like' very annoying
Toyota and Honda are sleep walking into the future. They are looking to the past and projecting it forward.
EV adoption is accelerating every year. Exponential not linear. The only limiting factor is batteries.
The number of electric vehicles and types of vehicles and trucks is growing.
Electric vehicles are just better. No noise, no emissions, less fuel costs, less maintenance costs and amazing technology. Gasoline and diesel are OLD polluting technology. PHEVs still have a gasoline engine polluting the environment. Toyota and Honda will be late to the party. It will cost them market share, market value and future customers. There is a Climate Crisis. Young people will not buy petrol and diesel vehicles that add to the Climate Crisis. Toyota needs to learn a lesson from Nokia or Kodak. They will continue to lose market share until they do or they will go bankrupt. They are starting at the top but there is a long way down.
And in 15 years from now, current ev's will be going into land fill as they are just like a big mobile phone or laptop on wheels.
@@claytonsmixer2387 All electronics can now be recycled. They have valuable materials in them.
Great to see you again Jenny. It does all the basics very well, practical and gonna be very reliable..
