Unity s particle system is a robust Particle System where you can simulate moving liquids, smoke, clouds, flames, magic spells, and a whole slew of other effects. In this tutorial, you'll get a high level overview of the Particle System and its features, so that you can start getting ideas for your own projects. Dani would be proud of you
Suddenly a man-sized arachnid bursts from a vent in the ceiling, followed by countless more. You fight your way back to the airlock and are forced to leave before accounting for all crew members. Not everybody made it back.
Imagine if each of the eyes was one creature, and they could merge together, similar to the reverse of the minecraft slime. It would be a cool mini boss fight with one or two, but If you decided round up a bunch it could Initiate a full on boss, with large tentacles thrown at you and moving around in split clouds that reform where it lands.
It's a voidsmoke strider. I've just invented this "name" and, think it's not so bad. The creature itself is really cool looking and pretty well coded, good work, dude!
Gotta love how because it doesn't have 8 legs my arachnophobia somehow is not triggering I should be scared of this but my brain literally is running on technicalities that and when I saw it's cute little eyes at the end it kinda got me besides it like a goo ghost monster so I guess it's all in all aight
Ways to make it scarier, place it in a dark background with dim light In the foreground, have it walk on walls and ceilings. Make it slightly faster than the character running backwards but slightly slower than the character running forwards. When it teleports make a wave of shadow blot out everything around it so you just see a wall of shadow approaching. Add in horrifying screams and bone crunching noises.
This could turn into a really cool creature design, like a shape shifting creature that changes it's body to better navigate the environment to get to *you* or whatever it's currently hunting
this would be cool as a monster that appears only once in a while and can only be temporarily killed in a game that is otherwise beautiful and with no other tension.
Idea. Some sort of generic-ass space marine shooting stuff game, but then out of nowhere your commander is like "WHAT IS THAT?!" and this thing shows up and all of a sudden you're now playing a survival horror game. Like, the first few minutes with the creature would be not-so-subtly signaling that the player is no longer the most dangerous thing on the field, with radio chatter like a squad-mate saying "Are we even hurting it?!" or a science guy saying "What's going on? What are you shooting at? My sensors are showing nothing but empty space!" Then the rest of the game, you're dreading that this thing is around the next corner, a bit like Mr. X in Resident Evil 2.
Oh- You're wondering how he made this? Probably with *Unity's Particle System* , a great system for creating any types of particles that you need in your game, like muzzle flashes or blood, or giant spiders
Hope this sorta thing also ends up in your game as a spooky enemy. Alternatively, it could also be great to see a reverse horror game (like Carrion, Prototype, etc.) where you play as the procedurally animated shadow spider with shapeshifting abilities (and potentially others)
I would actually like to see this come back for Like a nighttime creature in the game you are making. Like you can't harm it or climb it, but you can ward it off with a light or run till the sun comes up.
Dude! This looks awesome, if you do add it to your game, make a swamp area for it that gets foggy at night just like rdr2, and these guys come out in groups of 2 or 3
I like the idea very much. Of course it can be even better. More smoke-like creature or more tar-like would be more scary for my taste. I would also make this animations more aggressive (little speed up at the end of flight like snake catching his prey).
