Indigenous companies like smart bazar and d mart have grown enormously throughout India. Seven eleven have tough competition in India. When we look at Southeast Asia they don’t have local grown market which is bad for economy.
Those vendors are actually migrants from neighbouring countries
Reliance mart and d mart is very famous in india in big cities you can easily find ,there are 8-10 mart like that in a city just need to find out,1-2 day trip can't be enough to know where are this mart , in my city (Bhubaneswar)where i live you can find every mart in 500 meters range
I have seen many Westerners preferring cokkke over water 😅😅it's dangerous😅in india we don't have this culture of packed, frozzen , ready to eat food consumption
The city has sadly turned it's back on its extensive coastline. Hardly any places to sit in a comfortable spot and enjoy the waterfront. Serious lack of vision.

The place where you are wandering is a posh locality rich people dont need shops close to where they stay but if you look at the people around you it' shows India is still not a market driven economy purchase power is poor the rich have money to spend in other countries
