Thank you for the "Can't Decide" video. I came across that one first. I wasn't sure at first, but knowing myself, it convinced me to go with the Midori Traveler's Notebook. I am super excited. It arrives in two days. I've been watching all your other videos about your Midori in preparation. So again thank you. I am subscribing so I can learn more. :)
I was interested in possibly ordering the lightweight paper insert and found your video. Great info! I've been wanting an insert with a lot of pages for notetaking/sketchbook (I want to learn). Thanks for sharing! Off to Amazon to order.
Very nice review. I like the close ups! I don't think I would get a kraft insert either. I like the monthly insert that came with my MTN but it does confuse me some times because it starts with Monday. Hehehe. Thank you for sharing. Xoxo
I got mine at my local store Tokyu Hands, but many people are making their own. Ray Blake (mylifeallinoneplace) has a free downloadable guideline that you could print and laminate :)
Hello! It depends on the ink you're using. I have tried the versa magic chalk ink and they were ok :) of course there's gonna be some ghosting but it didn't bleed through :)
Hi there, it is called a writing board, or in japanese, Shitajiki. If you search online or even on Etsy, you can find them :) Many makers make them now a days. I used to make my own by taking a piece of pretty patterned paper and printing off a grid and then laminating it :) Have fun!
Hello! I purchased mine at the store, but you can get a free downloadable one from Ray Blake's website, it's awesome! Many people are printing them out and then laminating them: www.mylifeallinoneplace.com/2014/04/download-free-midori-travelers-notebook.html Thanks for watching!
Hello! sorry I don't have a weight scale that's able to weigh such small amounts, :( The weight will also slightly depend on the type of refill notebook as well and if you have items already written/decorated in it. Sorry I can't be more help
+CHANTAL DOWLING hello! If you're not doing a full on watercolour drawing or if you're just drawing something simple or maybe adding a bit of watercolor for highlights, it's totally usable. Of course the pages will wrinkle and warp a bit, but I love how the paper sounds after water has been in contact with it :)
So fun rewatching this after so many years 🥰

I heard that the lightweight refills are Tomoe River paper which Hobonichi uses.
+ahebrewprincess hmmm.....I wonder... I feel as though the paper is very similar, but I'm not 100% sure. Thanks for letting me know!
This is a great review. I'm going to point people here when they ask about the paper in the Midori refills!
Wow thank you so much, that means a lot to me :D Thank you so much!

I noticed you have a tip in that you watercolored on. Would you mind sharing what paper you did that on? (Asking because I like the look of it.)

Thank you so much for your comment, and watching!! I think I'll eventually try the kraft paper one of these days :)

Where did you purchase the plastic backing that you use underneath the pages? I looks like it fits perfectly.
