MiikaV YESS I LISTEN TO THAT EVERY CHRISTMAS
Raskasta joulua - tulkoon joulu, siinäpä selittämistä
Absolutely!
KYLLÄ!
Jake should be singer!! He's voice is amazing ❤
suske i agree!!!!
Thank you!
He sounds so Estonian when singing Finnish tho x'D
Jake is so cute and pure, he's like a puppy we have to protect from this cruel world.
Jake sang the last high note better than the singer in the original Finnish version of Let it go
Also, I like that fact that the beginning of Petteri Punakuono has other fairytale characters in it that are more well-known than Petteri. Since Santa's other reindeers aren't really a thing in Finland. I've always thought the original lyrics make no sense. How wouldn't you recall the most famous reindeer, if you know all the others?
Lotta K the original Finnish singer of Let it Go is actually Saara Aalto :D
Santeri No it's not! Saara is the voice of Anna, the younger sister :)
Santeri No it isn't. Saara Aalto is the voice actor of Anna in the Finnish version. Katja Sirkiä sings Let it go in Finnish.
okay :D my bad
Thank you! And that explanation actually makes a lot of sense. We hadn't thought of it that way!
Raskasta joulua - tulkoon joulu
Listen Varpunen jouluaamuna (Sparrow on chrismas morning). You can find the English subtitles version from UA-cam.
Jake has a good singing voice :D
I noticed that too. But the pronunciation made it sound funny :D
Thank you! :D
That first tonttu (gnome) song: The Jump around, is linked to the happy moment.
So because the life is usually short and miserable(!), enjoy now, when it's the festive time!
HE HAS A GOOD VOICE
Happy Finnish Independence Day from Jake and Emma!
Jake and Emma thank u😊
Tontut are elves too, but Finnish has multiple words for elves. A tonttu is either one of Santas elf or a gnome.
Omg we have the new Elsa 😂😂😂
the new Elsa*
Layia are you happy now😂😂
Jenna Jappinen huomasitko että se vahingossa laulo taksejaa taksejaa😂😂
Listen Sika (Juice Leskinen) and Joulumaa!

part two:
compare normal christmas songs to RASKASTA JOULUA!
Kalkaanuslag yes
YES
You should watch Linnanjuhlat...
I hope you're going to listen to varpunen jouluaamuna in the next video! I think it's the most beautiful christmas song. And my other favorites are tonttu, sylvian joululaulu and en etsi valtaa loistoa (which you already listened to). I like the more "sad" songs, I feel like they're more real than the overly happy children's songs
Hyvää itsenäisyyspäivää!
This makes me happy.
okay.
Young master
wtf are you doing here
TodellisuudenKumoaja I'm not even sure myself.
You make us happy!

Varpunen Jouluaamuna and Sylvian Joululaulu
You are in the essence of finnish culture, Jake! Tonttu's are extremely important, and have been for centuries, if not thousands of years. Christmas tonttu is a newer tradition, but every house has a tonttu, of course every sauna has a tonttu and every building basically. These are very important creatures in finnish mythology, and one really wants to stay in good terms with tonttu's.

Jake, you sing so well! I would buy your music!
Raskasta joulua - Tulkoon joulu :)
Finland is 99 yrs old today!
Johanna Ylioja Yep!
Happy independence commemoration day.
Jake is awesome!
You HAVE to listen Joulupukki Valkoparta
Varpunen Jouluaamuna and Heinillä Härkien kaukalon are a must!
I dont know if you knew But the reason that santaclaus is called Joulupukki is because the Christian Christmas was built on the old pagan tradition (like Yule = joulu) in Finland But not so long ago since christianity only came to Finland in like 1100's. In the old tradition the joulu celebrations lasted some days (from 24.12-12.1 maybe im not sure but thats why we still celebrate Christmas on 24.12 ) and after joulu so on nuutinpäivänä 13.1 all the young men from the town would put old goat skins on and go around the houses asking for leftovers from the party, while being extremely drunk and scaring children ofcourse. I think they were originally called nuuttipukki. also tonttu is more like a mystical Creature in finnish tradition and it wasnt connected to joulu untill Christian tradition, they were creatures that lived in peoples saunas and houses and kinda like guarded the house. sorry for the long text :D and terveisiä from Finland
Yeah and that's why I like the finnish christmas song Tonttu a lot, because it's a story of an actual finnish tonttu who lives in someone's house and takes care of the house, the animals and the people who live there :)
Thank you! That's awesome!
Hetken keeeestäää elämäää ja sekin synkkää ja pimeääää.
Lucius Malfoy Omg Lucius Malfoy
Varpunen jouluaamuna!
You should tell Jake about all the parody songs with "Tontut sammuu" and "parta poikki, silmä puhki" etc.
It's "Christmas goat" (Joulupukki) because of pagan roots. The old time "joulupukki" (before the red-coated American version took over) used to dress in furs and had horns on his head.
listen sika. really enjoyed this video! 😄
Rudolph wasn't being compared to disney princesses, but common fairy tale character's in general, there was red riding hood and big bad wolf there too.
Also make sure to listen to any version of Tulkoon Joulu
Jake singing... Ihan paras juttu koko tällä videolla. Kannatti katsoa loppuun asti. We want more! :D
Kiitos! :D
all these songs are for children. Finnish Christmas is much more melancholy, "en etsi valtaa loistoa" is actually played on the radio. I'd like to see a more "mature" version of this:) so forget all the Swedish children's songs hahah if you want something a bit more modern you should try Johanna Kurkela, Juha Tapio or Raskasta joulua Christmas albums
Jake sings really well ❤️
Listening to this in the middle of summer :D
that´s when u realise only 6 months to christmas
Jaken Let it go, HUUTONAURUA!

Loved the try on Finnish Let it go. :D
Happy Independenceday from Finland! Can you guys make video where you talk in Finnish? If Jake can handle it :D
leevillä on hyvät joululaulut.
All these songs are originally not from Finland. Most of these are swedish songs and The last one Petteri Punakuono was from England I think?
Please make a music video

you should listen some "raskasta joulua" songs!
raskasta joulua - tulkoon joulu and watch the video
"porsaita äidin oomme kaikki" viittaa syömis tapaan. Porsasta voi käyttää pilkallisesti ahnehtijasta. Äidin porsailla luultavasti haetaan takaa kuinka maistuvaa ruokaa on äiti laittanut, niin maittavaa, että täytyy ahnehtia.
elias kaskinen - tuli joulu ilotaloon
varpunen jouluaamuna ja sylvian joululaulu!
you have to listen to> Keinutaan by Antti Tuisku
Jake you're really, I mean REALLY good singer. You should make a video where you sing :) (y)
You should listen to Leevi and the leavings - jouluaattona kännissä
Listen "tulkoon joulu" or "hei mummo" from suvi teräsniska
you should listen Ajattara - Joulupukki puree ja lyö. 😂
Jarkko Ahola - Sylvian joululaulu

This isn't a christmas song but I think you should listen the Finlandia hymn with lyrics! I know you listened the music in some video but I think it's even more beautiful when there's singing (Club for Five or Ylioppilaskunnan laulajat sings is it beautifully).
Oh and Varpunen jouluaamuna or Tonttu by Vesa-Matti Loiri are beautiful christmas songs which I recommend...:)
Can you listen Johanna Kurkela and Marco Hietala - Oi joulunajan ihmiset?
I love it
Raskasta joulua makes the only christmas songs that I listen to
Where is Vesa-Matti Loiri?
Porsaita äidin oomme kaikki swedish version is: morsgrisar är vi allihopa. Morsgris (mother's pig) means a mothers favorite child or mummy's boy.
This is Vveeird.
tonttu = gnome
You should react to Juice Leskinen - Sika in part 2! :)
