The pattern that the glass cracked in was looking really good when combined with the design. I'm sure they've given him the PC by now, but it would have been really nice if they had laser etched the cracks from the original side panel onto the new one.
The danger is because tempered glass is, well, tempered, there's a lot of internal pressures, like tempered steel. This makes it harder, but more brittle and prone to shatter explosively. The good thing is they shatter into little fragments that are far safer and won't cut you like a knife.
Yeah that's pretty much BS. As long as you don't break anything off or are statically charged af and "zap" a sensitve part directly (which is super unlikely) nothing will happen

I just got a new case today (well, technically yesterday but I'm still up). Just grabbed the accessories out, turned the box upside down, lifted it up, pulled the foam pads off the sides and was good to go. I think what made it so difficult for him is that he was trying to do it off a tall table instead of off the ground. My new case is a Fractal Design Define 7 if case anyone's wondering.

I built my first PC over the weekend at the grand age of 34yrs... better late than never. I actually made a similar build using mostly ASUS Products. Tough Mobo, PSU, the Same 3080 Strix GFX Card ( that coil wine tho ASUS damn.. ) and even used this exact case. I had not watched this video prior to ordering and assembling but I am glad that even Linus endorsed a similar build. I liked the general experience unboxing and Assembling the ASUS products. Thank you Linus and team for helping build up my confidence over the years and for showing that anyone can build a PC if they put their mind to it, and watch some youtube ;). Have a good one!

good work with the editors
I laughed so hard when Linus said “considering you’re from such a tiny island.”
Remember that one time someone from the rig reboot annoyed Linus into giving her a job.
And she quit a few days ago
@@daraclancy2875 oh that sucks
Finally, someone who isn't completely new to building a PC! If it fits, then it's probably right. He tried to slam the SATA SSD to the mobo though.
Go hire this guy. Got good sense of humour, has the charisma and seems he can present well. Looks like he's a good fit to the team, too.
funny that Jacob actually never said that he is smarter than Ethan, but Linus just fully misheard it, and made a whole scene out of it
Hire him next! Honestly, ROG Rig Reboot is such a win, win, win man. Good ad revenue, good content, good sponsor money, someone gets a bawling PC and possibly gets hired?
Always love ROG reboots. Hopefully I can get lucky enough to land one!
Yeah, me too 🥲

Crazy how much these builds are worth
how much? sorry i skipped some of the video
@@anon9322 at the prices of today, over $5000. But for their real prices, still over $5000.
@@YourLocalCafe he has a 3090?
"I have old computah" gold
I thought he was kidding when he said "Go, get it." Clip cut LOL - He really made him get it!
The start of this video reminded me of that old Benny Hill skit, where he asked "Is it HaWaii or HaVaii?" to which he was told "It's HaVaii!" When he said "Thank you!" the other replied "You've Velcome!"
This episode was amazing, so funny and given to someone that does more than gaming!
As a Native Hawaiian I can approve of Jacobs entry as culturally appropriate. Maikaʻi!
Don't get me wrong, I freaking love Linus... but Jacob trolling him (and Linus trolling back) gave me life! 🤣
If someone deserved a free PC it's this guy. Hands down the best ROG Rig Reboot ever. Congratulations and good luck for the future, Jacob!
Jacob at every step: "WOOOOOOH!"
can we get this dude as the voice over for linus tech tips... ;)
If Madison has told me anything, this big guy will be working for Linus in 1-2 Years!
Probably not since he really seems to enjoy his home town
Linus mentioned previous reboot hires, does that mean this Jacob will also get hired eventually?
He has to be, once he comes to terms with the cold of Camada. He has such a calming, smooth voice
Yay one of the few that actually did their homework, definitely is a big fan, and will actually put it to great use. Wish all of them were this good.
They may at times have a premium but the experience and design sometimes feels more premium also. Loving the subtle use of RGB and the more clean looking GPU. Thank you Linus and team for helping build up my confidence over the years and for showing that anyone can build a PC if they put their mind to it, and watch some youtube ;). Have a good one!
Hire this guy! He's awesome and his chemistry with Linus was hilarious
To be honest i would love to try to build a PC with Linus being a talking head 😂
Imagine being the guy that’s like “I wanted an AMD build”
meanwhile i have an AMD system, but i also want an INTEL system
20:00 God, I really appreciate the editor here.
I remember when people on ROG RIG REBOOT got 32GB of ram and now 128GB, it’s insane. Keep up the good work Linus. Love the vids.
This video is probably one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. I think we need Jacob to reappear on LTT at some point.
