I like this girl because she cooks like a normal person and keeps it in the video. Plus she has an awesome personality. Im going to try this recipe( except for the onion). Looks so yummy.
@@DeniseCurry-qm5fc👑I will curtsey to you, Queen Denise. All I have to do is be in the same house with someone cooking with a tomato-based pasta sauce and it's on me. I'm still trying to figure out how🤷🏽♀️.
What a great hack!! Must try! I'm a lazy a cook who loves lasagna so when I do go to the trouble, I make up triple batches of the spinach cheese sauce AND the sausage meat sauce and freeze in the Soup Cube one cup trays, then transfer to zip lock baggies. Thaws in no time and lasts up to six months or longer in freezer. These sauces can be used for a lot of dishes as well. Cheers! 🥘🥘
If you look around 6:05 in the video, you can see some halved onion. I think she was throwing outer skin peel of onions. I made a simple lasagna using ravioli and sauce with ricotta and cheese. It would be even easier on a sheet pan.
Another way to enjoy the flavors of lasagna is to choose a noodle of your choice (I use rigatoni because the cheese mixture gets down into the noodles) and just mix the noodles with the cheese and egg mixture (add spinach if you like) and then top with sauce and more cheese. It's a lot quicker than traditional lasagna, but with the exact same flavors. ☺️
I would actually like to try that. The only change I would make is that I would make sure there was an even amount of cheese spread out through the whole pan.. There are big sections with no cheese on it. I'd also like to try it with homemade meatballs. YUM!
You were so brave to wear that white top to cook in! Not one drop of tomato sauce did you slop on it. You rock! Loved this video as always. You make cooking so fun. I'll have to try this recipe. TY
I would mix the ricotta/spinach mixture in with the sauce and noodles and reserve a small amount to dollar up on top for decoration. This would be similar to baked ziti, I believe
Giada is the only tv chef that I follow on here, but it’s mostly because of her precious daughter, Jade!😉❤️ Btw, you need to get a ground meat chopper utensil, they work amazingly well!
I make this often. My fav Giada recipe ever. I use fresh lasagna sheets (Rana) that I cut up to skip the boiling stage. I will never make lasagna the traditional way again.
All the comments about the onion are driving me insane! Just watch the video and enjoy her. I don’t think she threw the onion away. Actually I think it was just the skin but get over yourselves. Everybody has to find some fault with everyone on UA-cam .. it’s so annoying.
Nuh huh... Did she just throw away a perfectly good onion? I would've used it anyway!!! For real being wasteful. 🤦 I can't stand that. It doesn't need to be exactly perfect ingredient to ingredient, especially with onions.

I couldn't agree more! I love Nicole ❤ I have made this recipe and subbed broken lasagna for ravioli and my family loved it!
I'm impressed, wearing white while handling pasta sauce with no visible damage 😊
I can wear white shirt and pasta sauce

Did you just throw away a perfectly good onion? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol I also noticed that 😅😂
Thank you! Came to say exactly this🤣 That would have been diced up and used or frozen here.
I was thinking the exact same thing!
She didn’t… you can see the unused onion set to the side at 1:18. She just threw away the skin :)
@@lisabolar2155 She did. Maybe they fished it out of the trash.
Thank you now I know what I’m making for Christmas Eve, the one thing I will change is to spread the ricotta instead of the dollops😊
That's so cool you were inspired to pursue doing what you love by another TV chef personality. You're great at it, love your content!

Why did you throw that onion out? Wrap it up and put it in the refrigerator.
Some people say onions are toxic once cut... IDK personality
@@bwcasas she didn’t, watch again. 😉
I would just ziplock baggie that onion then use it in a day or two. Also I always make my lasagna meatless.
Thank you! My thoughts exactly.
She didn't...... GET A LIFE
Where can I buy the sweatshirt?

I saw this on Giada's channel awhile back and even bought her pasta to make...but have yet to make it. It looks sooooo delicious❤
What a waste of a perfectly good onion in the beginning of the video.
You know nothing
This one feel more Italian...im dying! Love the recipe, and cannot wait to make this/ Thank you and Merry Christmas!
@ 6:30 ...That's Funny !!......good one Nicole !! Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thanks Nicole for another amazing yummy recipe. ❤❤❤
Pasta Sweater is adorable 🍝
These are sooooo good. Can you please please please try to recreate the Italian Nachos that you can get at Old Chicago? Thanks 😘
Great idea that can be easily cut in half for 2 people!
Definitely making this
Genius idea!!
Oh yes marking that tomorrow 😄 can't wait for the perfect bite ❤
That looks amazing I’m going to try it
Gonna make this for Christmas Eve Dinner!
Next you should make a fabulous baked Cheesecake!
Why throw the good onion out??🤦♀️
That looks really good. Also you are so brave and/or coordinated to make a meal with marinara sauce wearing a white sweatshirt.
I LOVE YOUR RECIPES❤❤❤❤❤❤
That looks delicious!
Yum!!! Impressive!!! No tomato splattered white shirt!!! 👏👏👏

Looks great and better than the layering method!
Absolutely Fabulous!
I’ll try this but I like more ricotta cheese. Easy and looks delicious. Thanks 😊 😊
Omg I love your sweatshirt, we're can I get one ? Really enjoy your channel.
I would mix the ricotta/spinach mixture in with the sauce and noodles and reserve a small amount to dollar up on top for decoration.

Yeah, that seems better!

"This one feels more Italian."
LOL.
Recipe looks amazing! Also, where can I get your sweatshirt!?
Going to try it but without spinach
Delicious
Where is that shirt from?
The knife abuse hurts me as well as don't discard an onion for optics
Your comment ignorance hurts and she threw away NOTHING
Amazing great jobs 👍👍👍👍👍
Not a fan of giada's but You make it me want to try this.
Have you heard she never swallows the food she tastes? She has a "spit bowl" nearby. She's so thin. She reminds me of a bobble head.
Yummy recipe, going to try this 8:08
I would mix the ricotta/spinach mixture in with the sauce and noodles and reserve a small amount to dollar up on top for decoration.
Love this recipe🩷🩷🩷
This is more work than regular lasagna. Id just make baked ziti
I like te layers as long as there's plenty of sauce 😋
I would probably do it with bow tie noodles. 😊
Go to Valerie Bertinelli's stove top lazy lasagna. It uses the 1/2 in thin lasagna noodles.
Wow... Wearing a white sweatshirt while cooking with tomato sauce... That's one brave lady! 😂🤣😂
I make this often. My fav Giada recipe ever. I use fresh lasagna sheets (Rana) that I cut up to skip the boiling stage. I will never make lasagna the traditional way again.
Love lasagna! Gotta have garlic bread with it
You threw the onion away??? Girl🤣
Nope. She didn’t lol
No she didn't...... Get a life
I use the back of my blade to scrape the garlic press clean.
Relax about the onion people! She is at work on a schedule, not in her own kitchen. I’m sure she normally would never throw an innocent onion away.
All the onion Karens just can't help themselves
Glad I am not the only one that is annoyed that she trashed the onion. Just use it tomorrow or something,
All you need is a nice glass of Italian merlot! Yummy!
Nicole youre great short version
did this girl just throw away a perfectly good onion, waste not want not.
Missed cooking the onion part. Looks delicious.
Nicole added the onion after the sausage cooked. Also cutting the spinach first before cooking is totally better. Whole milk ricotta is better!!!
She cooked it with the Sausage.
Throwing out the onion? 🥴
Is it dry?
My son says he watches every cooking show that she has and still hasn’t learned to boil water because he’s being distracted. Does anyone know why?
Hmmm?🤔🤔🤔. To be honest I was surprised to see her in a sweater covering her chest.😅
Haters be hatin in the comment section???She said, quick meal?
I feel like this is the same amount of work as lasagna, why not just make a lasagna.

No, she threw it in a recycling container, 😉
I hope that first onion didn't go in the trash or compost. What a waste.
she fire
Doesn't look as appealing as lasagna the cheese is just plopped in sections instead of every bite
Ill never understand sausage added to Italian or anything. Its horrible tasting
That is like a pasta bake, no connection to a lasagna.
Copycat jiffy mix.
Throws it in garbage? No fridge? Can't relate. Byeeee
You lost me at "Giada"....
Na!!!
Nah, not for me. I like traditional pasta. I don’t like crispy pasta edges
I'm not a fan of Giada or this version of her lasagna.
Do you have a recipe for homemade tamales?
People triggered by throwing out an 🧅😂
These are sooooo good. Can you please please please try to recreate the Italian Nachos that you can get at Old Chicago? Thanks 😘
