A bit on the “not investing in Strength” thing. If your Strength is at least *5* points higher than the opponent trying to quick tackle you, it won’t knock you down. If your Strength is at least *9* points higher than the opponent, partially charged tackles won’t affect you either. The only tackles that can pierce any Strength are fully charged/perfect tackles. If you have ridiculously high Strength, the opponents will most likely have to start charging a tackle (so they can’t just easily slap you and take the ball), and you can *see their meter* during the charge. This gives you time to predict or plan your reaction/dodge since they have no choice but to try and get the charged tackle off (or use an item) to get the ball off of you. You could bulldoze your way across the field without needing to pass if you time your dodges right. I don’t know the exact numbers, but ON TOP of that, the higher your Strength is compared to the opponent will affect how far they get knocked back, and how long they stay down on the ground after getting tackled. Strength is very useful in terms of tackle control and pressure.
I agree with you but when I was saying to not invest in strength, I was referring to the characters that already don't have high strength, because they lose out on valuable stats they'll actually make use of. For example, Mario, to use him at his best, strength isn't really his forte. Same for most characters who aren't the heavies. If you look at other stats though, perfectly charging them doesn't give you the max effect of that stat like strength does, which is why I said it wasn't good. A perfectly timed shot doesn't give you the max speed or the max curve that maxed shooting and tech gives, and a perfectly timed pass doesn't give the speed or range, so IMO there are much more valuable stats than strength when you can get the same effect from perfect timing tackles and dodging their tackles, not to mention if you dodge on time you get a huge speed boost
Very informative, thank you! I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I just got this game for Christmas and will (hopefully) make good use of these tips! 😄
Thought strength wasn't good at first till I realized a lot of teams run sho/tech builds so I invested in max strength wario with 15sho. They can't bump me with most builds and free passing for myself so I can set myself up with wario is pretty nice. Also will beat out most defender builds too, If I'm tackled or charged tackled I get free items. Strength imo is good rn to counter pick most builds in the game rn but not a good stand alone build. It's good with every other type of builds for wingers and captains. I run this on wario
Personally I play a heavy with a speed build on defense and have a great striker as my front character but I can see what you mean, although I do think the maxed strength is overkill. If you're running that Wario out front you could get a lot more use out of the shooting gear instead of the strength gear cuz he already has high strength imo. At the end of the day though we all have different builds we like and what works for us, just I won't ever be investing my characters in the strength stat.
Ironically your Captain is the only position who wants to prioritize Strength (as well as Speed), as if you just put your dedicated Striker there, they're just going to get normal-tackled, if they can even claim the ball in the first place.
I disagree tech and shooting are much more important imo. Strength is an attribute that isn't that important because regardless you can get perfect tackled. I think I decent speed stat would be fair but you don't wanna lose out on the shooting and technique from using gear to increase speed. You just need to be able to put the ball in the net and dodge, cuz strength doesn't do much anyways.
I need an info. Does strenght also change the RANGE of a tackle? My Bowser tackles have an extremely long ramge compared to lesser Strenght characters. Wonder if thats why
@@LoganTheCosmonaut i meant the distance traveled by your own character. Havent tested but it feels as tho my Bowser charge tackles get a lot more distance then idk a Peach charged tackle.
So I tested a full strength bowser vs a regular bowser and both perfect and non perfect timed tackles travel the same distance respectively. So I think it is just what animation the character has.
@@LoganTheCosmonaut thanks! Good to know, i wont be wasting stats points on it for tackles then, making the characters more resilient is gonna be the main thing
Yknow you could’ve just put the info here so we wouldn’t have to listen to you, you would’ve actually helped us more because it would’ve been more efficient
Its literally a 5 minute video lmfao and I presented the entire video using my voice because that is more efficient for me then editing in text... Maybe be grateful someone actually wanted to help out the community. You obviously wanted the info because if not you would have never clicked on the video, so why waste your time commenting?

Nice, gameplay. Are you down to team up and run some games? 😊

If by range you mean how far a tackled character flies then yes, if not then it's just the timing of the tackle if I'm not mistaken

Isn’t 1 stat point the lowest, not 2?
I got the stats to the lowest possible number they could be. Some of the stats couldn’t go to 1 so 2 was the lowest they could go
Love this content!
I know I'm super late but for the passing stat it says it also affects Free passes, does it effect free passing by that much?
I think it effects the speed, so the lower the passing the lower the speed of the pass, also potentially accuracy as well!
How technique affect dribbling? Like just the ability to run with the ball?
I won't lie in my testing I saw no difference
Definitely a helpful video
Thank you! I hope you learned something from it!
Found you because my brother got Mario strikers and I want to learn more and get better than him and my name is Logan too so I guess that is cool
Thats dope dude!!! I believe in you lol and you have a pretty cool name 😃
Does technique make any difference for dribbling? It claims it does, but i haven't seen anything compared.
I'm gonna be honest I didn't really see much a difference with dribbling. If there is then it's a very very slight difference
1:42 NOW THATS A LOT OF LAG
i didnt record a long enough clip for it so i had to slow it in my editing software lmaoo
I was told passing was these least useful stat, is that true?
I don't think so because the difference between low passing and high passing is insane. Imo strength is the least useful
@@LoganTheCosmonaut Does Strength have use though? Even niche?
@@birdygamer5224 i mean imo no because perfect tackles will work regardless of strength stat
Omg I forgot this game existed…. Poor Nintendo
Спасибо большое! (RUS) thanks :)))
