When he said Cartoon Network made him feel lonely, I felt that lol. It lowkey had a weird vibe.
It’s the most accurate description for why I bounced off Ed Edd n Eddy as a kid
Yeah, Ed edd and Eddie always made me feel sort of lonely and almost unnerved
@@FinnmacD I felt the same, I think it was the closed of feeling of the show, felt empty
The existential horror of Courage the Cowardly Dog Show
simon bonzo That show was fucking cursed. How did children watch that shit?
Him saying chilay instead of chile is cursed
I heard of white people saying this, never really witnessed it in action until now. Hoped he was doing it ironically but doesn’t seem like it...
he was pronouncing it like the country instead of the slang and that had me having a crisis
Cuz Chile is a country
Reminds me that he still a white boy at the end of the day 😂😭
Also since English isn’t his first language there’s a solid chance all of that flew over his head
Love how Hasan's Spongebob impression is exactly the same as his Ben Shapiro
Real insult to SpongeBob, though.
Source?
@@dennile_7355 literally any video where he makes fun of Shapiro.

This was the most badass place I had ever been when I was 10 years old. We stayed here and went to Disney World. Now life is only pain and sorrow

Hasan's explanation for how Cartoon Network made you feel versus how Nickelodeon made you feel could not be more spot on.
That’s why I liked CN more tho because I like scary shit lol

So many defunct land episodes basically are just “some rich assholes had a terrible idea and lost a shitton of money that was never theirs to begin with.”
imagine a little kid going to Nick Hotel, requesting to have a Spongebob themed room but they're all taken. the tears would be endless
To whoever runs this channel, you have once again made me extremely happy
I know I love that Hasan let’s the 3 people have clip channels and doesn’t just shut them down and not allow them some big creators do. People always meme that oh he makes so much money now you’re fake and all this stuff but he could be making way more money if that’s really all he cared about. It makes no sense to me that you would watch and support someone and that’s what makes them money and then you want to turn around and chastise him like he’s doing something wrong by being popular and people wanting to support him and what he does and his message so fuck off.
I went to this hotel twice, used to be my favorite place as a kid. I remember the rooms having a ps2 to play with a few games. I remember feeding the catfish there with my dad too. Lowkey miss it. I remember being disappointed by the fake slime in the huge bucket though, as it wasn’t actually slime, just colored water lol
same, the nostalgia is high
I WENT WHEN I WAS 4 AND I FELT THE SAME WAY AB THE SLIME
I know it’s so nostalgic
Yup I remember playing PS2 there.. Star Wars Battlefront 2, to be exact
Why do American kids love slime so much?
I remember as a kid in the UK, wanting to go so bad, same for Disney et al. Still haven't 15+ years on. Haven't even stepped foot in the US. Don't think I want to.
Portland , Austin and Brooklyn would be the places for you now
At this point I don’t blame you lol
There's still lots of cool shit over here. Especially if you like hiking/camping. Our parks are amazing. Arches in Utah, and devil's den in Arkansas are two of my favorite places ever. Both near pretty cool towns; Moab and Fayetteville respectively (though I tend to like Moab more, cause I dig being surrounded by desert, and its just got a vibe all its own that I've never quite felt anywhere else).
The us is probably really good for people from other countries cause you can visit but don’t have to live here lol
Shoutout to Toonami when it came right after school; coming home to DBZ was my LIFE when I was like 6
But on a more serious note, I think Toonami in that timeslot was responsible for more Americans getting into anime than literally anything else in history
@@jellosapiens7261 i agree. Toonami got me into dbz, yu yu Hakusho, rurouni kenshin, one piece, etc. Shit was fucking sick. If not for toonami and the 4kids anime block i probably wouldn't have got into the medium, and would've missed lots of good shows because of it.
@@jellosapiens7261 This then led us into the adult swim anime block. Fooly Cooly is still my favorite anime to this day 17 years later.
Shout-out to the world of Jetix for accidentally getting me into anime through digimon lol
I’m sorry, how could Hasan completely skip over how cursed Squidward was???

Can we talk about the AgedMilk that was LittleBill?
the fact bill cosby was in the intro kills me
And the fact that no one remembers it lmfao
Bro how’s Hasan not gonna mention, flapjack, chowder, billy and Mandy, regular show, adventure time? Cartoon Network slaps dude and every variation of scooby doo
He mentioned that adventure time was after his time
Most of those were after his time
Alright true, Chowder and Regular Show were pretty good
Wasn't Scooby-Doo primarily on boomerang that's where I watched it at least
Billy and mandy was when we were teenagers. The rest are after we grew up. Im as old as Hasan and from thr middle east pepe laugh
Avatar is hands down one of the best kids shows ever made. I agree with his takes for shows from the 90s/00s too.

I can't speak for the younger zoomers but my peers can relate to watching TV.
Yes Avatar The last Airbender is dope so was TMNT (2011). Disney had Gravity Falls and Phineas and Ferb. But even so I have to go Cartoon Network. Things I watched: Fosters home of Imaginary Kids, Chowder, Steven Universe, Adventure Time, Teen Titans, Pokémon, Powerpuff Girls, Amazing World of Gumball, Regular Show, Misadventures of Flapjack, Total Drama Island, Code name Kids next door, etc.
Came for the react, stayed for the young justice praise
Hasan's spongebob voice is the same as his ben shapiro voice
I was absolutely terrified of the Ang from the last air bender costume when I went over there on vacation w my dad
Dude was a student at my college I went to..had to drop out because they literally gave him a choice between defunctland or school
If that's true I feel like he made the right choice.
You gotta remember that like over half of americans supported the cops in the LA riots, like the diversity stuff didn’t start until like the late 2010s when Hip Hop became mainstream AND when Millennials hit adulthood and the 08 crash happened
I feel like hip hop hit mainstream around '06-'07. Like everyone my age in 6th-8th grade was already super into rap, and I'm from a fairly small town in fucking Oklahoma. Then again, we were kids, so I guess our tastes didn't really count at the time.
Hip hop hit mainstream way bf 2010 lol.
@@burninsherman1037 it's not that hiphop went mainstream, it's that hiphop became THE counter-culture music to replace rock for the young generation. The rockstars are now rappers, and they of course promote causes dear to them like racial equality.
@@burninsherman1037 the fuck? Hip hip was “mainstream” way before 06. The world isn’t centered around your existence 😂
Had somewhat the opposite experience. Many of the Nick shows (like Fairly Odd Parants) felt off-putting and artifical to me. While CN felt more welcoming becouse it was more weird and anything-goes-y. Also all the popular kids liked Nick more.
Yeah I agree, don’t get me wrong I think Nickelodeon has good shows but something about Cartoon Network had the cool shit shows and felt homie
Nickelodeon went down hill because most of it's shows are extra child-tailered. Spongebob was good because it's had adult humor tastefully placed around the show. Avatar: The Last Airbender was good because of its complexity. It was much more than just a kids cartoon. Its theme and character development made it easy for all ages to enjoy. I watched it again for the first time in a decade and was shocked because you can't find that quality and depth on children's tv channels now.
Every time Hasan pronounces "chile" as "chilé", it takes a year off my life.
Did- did cartoon network really made people feel lonely?? I loved it when I was little lol even kept watching it until 15ish
But never considered the feeling, totally see it now tho
Doing the dougie on a Sunday evening
I stayed at the Nick resort in Orlando when I was 10 in 08. Was a 10/10 experience. Rented TMNT for PlayStation 2 in my own Li’l room
I become pausanabi during the costume design section of this video. The my laughing fits were too strong

Hassan says source, the video says Andy.
when he said chilay instead of chile lol
I do really enjoy this channel and I appreciate the work you do, bud.
am I weird for liking courage the cowardly dog, that shit has scared so many streamers 😂
I think that’s why Im so dark and twisted now, because of courage
Nah, dude. Courage, and Billy and Mandy are probably big reasons for me being such a horror fan now. That and my uncle letting me watch Friday the 13th, and other horror flick with him whenever I stayed with him while my parents went shopping and shit. Also, Scooby-Doo on zombie island. That scared me more than alot of the legit horror movies I saw as a kid.
I mean I think courage was pretty mainstream at the time so no.... Lol
@@burninsherman1037 neither of those shows were scary especially Billy and Mandy which was comedy not horror. The misadventures of Flapjack was more terrifying than either of them.
@@ArkyThePig TRUUUUUU, flapjack was so creepy
Everytime I hear Hasan say Chil-ay I wince knowing for the longest time he genuinely thought that's how it was said. I spent so long thinking he was making fun of white people who didn't know how chile is said only to find out he was that white person.
lmaaaaoooo came here to comment this. the part where he's like "you guys keep saying 'white, white', of course it was white it was the 90's" I was like noooooo sirrr they're calling YOU white because you're saying "cheelay" instead of child without the d
I feel like being ESL more likely accounts for it lol
when blue started doing gangnam style my brain broke
I miss when Hasan would watch fun stuff like this along with his love of fashion. It shows a lighter, more joyful side of him that exists in all of us.
Hasan explaining how Cartoon Network made him feel depressed while Nickelodeon made him happy made me remember that I wasn’t allowed to watch Nickelodeon growing up cause my mom though it was satanic. I feel like that explains a lot about my character now😭
Young Justice is fuckin AMAZING
I thought I was the only one who got anxiety from Cartoon Network. Made me feel sad/lonely unlike Nick.
love hasan. love kevin. Love seeing hasan react to kevin haha
I loved this episode of defunctland it gave me such nostalgia of visiting the hotel. It was so fun!
awesome!
I wonder if Dan "Have You Ever Been With a Man" Schneider scouted talent there.
I like watching these streamer reaction videos because of the reactions that chat has I love reading chat when the pog for an activity table
The color scheme feels like a Hawaiian shirt. Just so loud

Adult swim sucks in retrospect so much considering that only a handful of their shows are actually worth watching. And those are only the shows that don't rely on Gross out humor.
KND was fire.
Dam hasan, content is DIVERSE!
This was the highlight of my day today 😂
that commercial that was shown gave me intense childhood flashbacks
i can related to when hasan said cartoon network show made him feel lonely, i dont know why but they did
That commercial awakened memories I didn't realize I had.
Right????? I was like "holy shit, I actually remember seeing this"
GOD yes young justice slaps so hard i love seeing it praised
Crazy how Warner Brothers managed to top Teen Titans and then canceled that as well
I had a phase where Nickelodeon was my preferred channel especially when they had the gameshows. Ed Edd and Eddy and Courage brought me to CN but I actually preferred Nick at Nite to Adult Swim. Watching Fresh Prince and George Lopez was a good way to end the night.
I was so scared the spongebob impersonation would be an ad transition like his more recent streams😭
My family actually had a vacation there it was actually pretty fun ngl.
This is the greatest crossover of all time
I’ll never get these 30 minutes back
Bruh someone mentioned Clone High YES that show deserves more hype!
a show made in canada
My favourite childhood cartoon was Disney recess, I use dto watch it in Dutch though
Was not expecting Hasan to hype up Young Justice here wow, I wonder if he's seen s3 on HBO Max yet
I've actually been at the now defunct Nick Studios and Nickelodeon Park. It's been a long time ago but they were indeed empty and unlocked with power on... It was weird and creepier than anywhere I've ever been.
thanks to this video i now have remembered the existance of little bill.
i used to watch it sometimes. i dont remember much about it since i was like 5.
I literally wasn't even paying attention to what was being said, I was so distracted by the nostalgia. My heart is so full right now, but also sad because WHAT HAPPENED TO MY NICKELODEON?!
"cartoon network made me feel lonely" dang I can relate, made me feel so weird.
Chile has become a meme :C in hasan's streams
Yeah, hasan missed the golden age of CN. 2000's and early 2010's
Laser tag was fun as hell
Hasan needs to visit Orlando. We have too many attractions for anybody to ask "what attractions?" Lol we dont have just simply I-Drive.
2042. The centennial of World War 2 ? Why open up a Nickelodeon time capsule then ?
I distinctly remember Nickelodeon had a theme park at universal studios Florida/orlando
I never even knew there was a resort and I was born and raised in Florida 😭 but I did go Nickelodeon Studios all the time.
Yoo i actually went there when i was a kid. Feels more like a fever dream at this point.
The funniest part about this story is that they are reopening a nickelodeon park in mexico this summer ROFL.
Transitioning from Hassan talking about the loneliness of childhood to T-Pain>>>>>>>>>>>
I hate when people younger than me call themselves old lol
People literally get married at Disneyland, so it’s not too strange for Nickelodeon to have Couples Suites.
Nick didn’t feel as lonely b/c like the guy said it made it feel like it was made for kids by kids. CN always felt like it was made by adults
I’m trying to imagine a Cartoon Network theme park and what eldrich abominations the mascot characters for Ed edd and eddy would look like.
Can we start adding more T-pain Twitch streams too 🤣🤣 lmao jk
Laser tag is pog
That fucking TPain clip at the and was GOAT
Oh fuck, came back to say: Class of 3000 is the most underrated kids show ever. Fucking Andre 3000.
Gotta agree with Hasan's takes on Nick vs Cartoon Network. I have a lot of good memories of CN, and sure I like it, but like nothing topped Atla for me. That was literally my childhood, and remains to be one of my favorite series.
Ren and Stimpy is way more terrifying than Courage the Cowardly Dog lmao
Edit: Clone High is good af but is an MTV property, and Dan Schneider is no longer with Nickelodeon
cartoon network was better without contest. and hell yea adultswim counts! ik i wasnt the only one to stay up and watch it XD
Stay up to watch boondocks and bebop.
@@burninsherman1037 inuyasha and fclc
If we count Adult Swim then it's Cartoon Network by massacre. Toonami alone cumpsters and dumpsters Nick and Disney. Then you add the Boondocks? And now Final Space? Total massacre
I went to this hotel like 5 times as a kid. I fuckin LOVED IT! I remember wanting to stay at the hotel instead of going to universal, or disney world.
I have social anxiety, since I was like in Kindergarten, but LOVED creepy Cartoon Network shows. I guess you have to be a weird horror loving type of kid lol. I grew up to love horror movies too
Most of the costumes were not too bad
when I was a kid and first went to Canada the only think I watched was Nickelodeon

I still think about that rockos modern life episode where they enter the bermuda triangle - I can't shake how it still makes me feel so uneasy and confused to this day.
Hasan saying old nick is better than old Cartoon Network is probably the worst take I’ve ever heard
I mean to be fair, old Cartoon Network wasn't my favorite at the time because of the slightly dark vibe to to the shows. Now looking back, i think it objectively had the more interesting shows,
Nah bro, nothing on cartoon network can stand up to Spongebob and Avatar
@@stevenreyes4791 everything on cartoon network could stand up to both those shows
WELLLLL if they dig up a time capsule then move it & bury it again does it still count or should the countdown have to begin again??? hhmmm
