For the aristocrats list, either crawling chorus or yotian frontliner. Alternatively get greedy and add red to the deck for clockwork percusionist, harried spearguard, and perhaps undead sprinter
I have a sneaking feeling that the new Sanguine/Exquisite combo might want to be ran Orzhov with either Case of the Uneaten Feast or full 8 with the new rabbit cleric. That way it's game over on ETB. Also wondering if Big Lili could end up a new top end in the Talent decks to keep those alive. Finally, and i hope i dont eat my words on this one, but i dont see nerfed snappy shaking things up too much beyond a week or two of UW mages trying to push it. P.s. I know Omniscience seems like a meme and a dream, but that in itself pairs well with Sultai Emergence 😅 Im rambling now because im a bit frustrated that I'll be missing prerelease tonight Good stuff, thanks for the content
All gucci, happy to have ya here! 1. I can def see Sanguine/Exquisite combo branching into Orzhov. 2. Big Lil vs. Eternal Wanderer vs lower curve, gonna be an interesting question to resolve. 3. Yea, I'm with ya here. It's snapluster ;) 4. Ok, I'd forgotten about Omniscience in Squirming, that could be sick. Appreciate the post and your thoughts. - Riktus
I’m surprised there’s no Rakdos Demon/Offering brew. I just took Dimir Demons, ripped out the core, and added the Harmless Pact combo and a bunch of black and red cards, like full play sets of Torch the Tower and the signpost enchantment from DSK.
For the record, Darksteel Colossus isn't like the Eldrazi titans; it only shuffles itself back into your library, leaving the rest of the graveyard there. So it buys you a single turn vs mill.
Ok, I'll be honest, I read it a wee bit quickly and misstated the effect, but only needing a discard outlet to avoid being milled out isn't a dealbreaker. - Riktus
I honestly hope arena gives us a more “played and used” style of elves, shivan dragon, ball lightning, and Serra Angel. Like how we got the April Fools played sleeves
Still watching (might be answered in the video), but any plans for a video next week dedicated to Foundations? Appreciate the extra work this week adding in those cards for considerations with the current meta
Thanks for your support. We are skipping next week as there will be few tournament results to analyze relevant to the Foundations release, but we will have a breakdown video on the Rebelcast this weekend called the FDN Starter Kit and we'll be back with State of the Meta the following week after FDN Week 1. -MAX

Maybe the Boros Burn deck needs to go more of the control route? 4 x Lightning Burst 4 x Lightning Strike 4 x Lightning Helix 4 x Boros Charm 4 x Slagstorm 2 x Day of Judgment 2 x Sunfall 4 x Get Lost 4 x Urabrask's Forge 3 x Overlord of the Boilerbilge 25 lands
is the Gruul deck not just out-gunned now with RW getting Boros Charm and Swiftblade? Burst Lightning and Stromkirk Noble are also great cards here. Authority of the Consuls shutting down Urabrask's Forge and making Split Up a much better card out of the SB.
A wee bit early too tell, but that's one of several working theories at the moment. We'll have to wait and see, as Boros has worse mana and Mono-Red frankly might be fine without the splash into either color. - Riktus
Boros lands leave a lot to be desired right now. Mono red is rock solid and reliable. They will swap out shock for burst and probably call it a day in that build. Nemesis is needed with all the lifegain coming and having that and ball lightning in same deck, too many 3 drops.
Will be interesting to see whether burn is the correct path or not. Lots of options on the table all of a sudden and at least 3 variants worth trying out from where I'm standing. The big question for Boros is whether Boros Charm is worth the splash, honestly. - Riktus
No impact tremors in RW deck? i think its huge combo with warleader call and we have 2-3-4-5 mana cards that make 2/3/4/5 creatures accordingly, add some Forge+ Caretaker`s talent and its free win
4 Urabrask's Forge 4 Caretaker's Talent 4 Impact Tremors 4 Warleader's Call 4 Goblin Surprise 4 Hop to It 4 Release the Dogs 4 Season of the Burrow 4 Resolute Reinforcements +2/3 fountainports to draw from tokens that about to die
@@TheMTGRebellion its didnt save him anyway, creatures without haste, and deal dmg when enters, opponent forced to cast multiple mass removal whole game cuz with 8 anthems they not gonna be 1/1s, i was thinking about swap 4/5 mana slots with ixlalan god/land that amplify dmg of red sources (tremors+call) and 3/3 haster who shot down lifegain. 2 mana room that make 1/1 at attack is also solid option.
This is negative, but it needs to be said. These meta reports have no basis in reality when applied to Arena. The meta is much more diverse and many more archetypes are viable, especially in BO3, than your meta reports reflect. Apparently, tournament players only play 4 decks but on the Arena ladder it's very different. And. It's not just your meta reports that have this problem. Even the more Arena friendly meta reports don't accurately reflect the actual state of the meta. It's a BIG discrepancy, too, otherwise I wouldn't bother writing this.
Goooooood morning. We here at the Rebellion collect and analyze results from major tournaments, not the ladder. So do the best players in this game. Arena ladder is a great spot to test theories, but it doesn't reflect actual competitive tournament magic typically. So nah, we have no problem, and if you play the top 250 in mythic, I think you'll be surprised how many players choose tier 1 decks that we've highlighted each week. Regardless, I've been doing meta analysis for 20 years. I've played with the best this game has to offer and I'm confident in our content's ability to help players compete at the top. Have a lovely day. - Riktus
