Haha I love the ending! With that being said… at the end of the day we all love Lorcana cards! Always enjoy these market updates. It’s like my daily news. I’m curious to see how this next set will do, i feel like the enchanteds generally carry the value, altho some good meta legendaries can also make boxes worth it too. Since i’m not crazy about this new set i’m just going back to these first sets and scooping up these enchanteds before they’re gone. When i see less than 20 -30 listings on TCGplayer for an enchanted it makes me think how little are actually on the market. You know the Smpratte mantra. and over time that will make these cards valuable. and I believe the demand will still be there in the years to come. whether or not some of these cards drop in the near future is up to speculation. Es I have a feeling a lot of these cards will begin to come down, and sellers will undercut just tryin to be the lowest listing and make a sale. and then in the next year start to trend up till supply runs dry. And hopefully people will have more liquid capital to buy more singles. From what I can tell, many players and collectors still primarily want to rip and pull their chases so sealed will always hold value. Especially the PSA 10s. Another thought is I do think a lot of cards will hit a ceiling where people may not want to spend $300-400+ for a single card, You can see that’s what happened with First chapter. People weren’t buying them at $350 cuz it just wasn’t that affordable. But the older, the rarer the minter the better. and you have the long haul vision to see that first chapter boxes could easily hit $500+ years into the future. I can see elsa’s in PSA 10 go for 2k+ especially when Frozen 3 & 4 hit. At the end of the day.. great Lorcana Content Mike! Keep it up!
the pro of having enchanteds that the overall population doesn't like is that it will drive down the market price and they should be relatively cheap. Funny how your daughter's favorite Lion King character is Scar lol I have a hot take on rapunzel promo. I don't think rapunzel promo will drop much like we were all hoping, there's too many folks like myself scooping them up because it's a highly playable card and if lorcana continues to see play in the coming years, there's a high chance people will want at least a copy or two for collecting or for deck purposes. Many folks didnt even get to go to DLCs this year. And those that did had to pay $ to earn enough points during side events. If they discontinue the promo cards like we suspect, the price should increase because it looks like most folks who earned one at these events aren't looking to sell. I also scratched my head thinking there's such a high population yet such a low amount on the market. This could be because the average lorcana player or collector does not do TCGplayer or Ebay, and play for keeps. I think cinderella will be in less demand, she has a D23 promo and is usually only a 1 or 2 of in a deck, but rapunzels, many people like a 4 playset of, not to mention how good it is for draw power in amber and one of it's core draw engines. @churmander
Magic has worked with authors and published books based on their story. Ultimately, things have recently taken a turn toward the Fortnite style of working with every IP. The majority of magic’s life cycle has had a major focus on lore.
whole-heartedly agree on the story and "lore" part of these Lorcana sets. i especially enjoyed the Ursula's Return arc. i look forward to seeing these beloved characters going through new adventures. my favorite parts of the cards are the flavor texts at the bottom.
I think Ravensberger is going to drop a whole slew of product for the holidays and I would expect Ch1 too. I do have a couple cases and like 10 booster boxes in case they dont
Expecting Disney and a bunch of artists to not take some creative license and shake things up is folly. These aren't my favorite either, but that's just going to happen if there's going to be variance in art. All subjective anyways. And 20k as a raw population for the rapunzerl isn't that many in the grand scheme of things. If they don't have this as a regular dlc promo after this tour is done, then you could see these spike heavily in value still. Worth noting ppl want 4 of these almost always and having a similar copy for all 4 is a must for most competitive players.
I need your thoughts on what they will do with the playabillity of the cards. will they rorate the sets out or do you think they will work with power creeping. im still collecting playsets mostly becouse i love playing. and i still need a few off the first to 3rd chapter but they're sooo expensive
When it comes to that Rapunzel prize wall card, I think the fact that Rapunzel is very playable and the most expensive legendary is a big factor in why that card is so high.
every amber deck plays Rapunzel, not to mention how gorgeous the full art card is. i don’t think it could go below $80-90 when many folks would love a playset or more. Cindy isn’t generally a 4 copy of so she could potentially drop $80-90
I love these enchanteds!!!

I love these enchanted art style but hate the characters lol

@@schizeminnelli that makes sense, as an outsider looking in it gives the vibes of no real IP. Thanks for sharing.

@@eRom20 I agree, can’t wait to see how it progresses.

Snagged 4 first chapter booster boxes at a 280 average 🎉
I don’t think they’ll have to errata Scar, they’ll just change the image in the app to the correct one, just like what happened with Hiram.

the set champ card is amazing so glad they didnt make it in the gold map style
You almost made it through a market watch without mentioning First Chapter booster boxes l… I was hopeful

What are your thoughts on the Japanese and Chinese Mickey Mouse promos?
$160 sale could have been for a Dec 1 box
