Hey Liane, another quick hack for you, i found that the travellers fp feed matches up with twsbi eco/ecoT/diamond mini nibs allowing you to swap them in for some more versatility! Hope that's helpful!
Ahh this is so exciting! Thank you for trying that out and sharing with us. The prospect of being able to turn limited editions into fountain pens is very exciting for me.
I’ve had the T-Co. Brass fountain pen for years - it’s been my daily EDC and I love it. Recently I wanted to try the rollerball version so I sprung for a whole second pen… I wish I would have found this video sooner!! Thanks anyway, I appreciate this :)
I did this to mine! I HATED the rollerball and was so bummed out that I purchased the fountain pen nib to not waste my money. Well that very pen became my first ever fountain pen that led me down the fountain pen rabbit hole 🤭
Same! I got it in rollerball and absolutely hated it. The fountain pen nib was back ordered but I eventually got it and replaced it and it’s lovely now. The rollerball tip didn’t write well and it leaked on my fingers.
liane, this is genius! i’m in the exact situation with owning the rollerball but wanting the fountain pen. after searching high and low, i gave up on the hope of ever owning the factory green fountain pen. with your hack it can now become a reality! thank you for sharing your curiosity and results.
Thanks for putting this content out into the world, I love when people share their findings. (I recently went on a similar journey trying to figure out Benu nib swaps to non Schmidt nibs)
@@lianelikes I wanted to find a way to use my specialty grind #6 jowos in it. It required a deep dive of the Internet, but I got there. There's a video on my channel 🙂
Cool. I have the full brass FP version. It is always in my purse, with a waterproof black or dark brown ink. Tip: remove the cartridge before you replace the tip/nib 😊
I love this! I wanted the green one that is nearly impossible to find. I got the rollerball green and ordered a nib to swap them out. I had hoped that I could swap caps with my other travelers factory pens but the fountain pen and the roller ball have a heavier and thicker cap. No swapsies for those
Kaweco sport mini converters work for the travelers company fountain pen. The standard is a piston converter. But if you write alot. Search a little longer. Find the squeeze converter
I did that with mine as well! I found the roller balls dried up easily and NEVER worked well again 🤨. I bought the Schmidt replacement bibs that are compatible through Jet Pens because o didn’t want the fine nib. But you’re right! There is no information out there on this!!!
I like this factory green model more than the All-brass model which I have.. I found one Factory green fountain pen in a listing on a Singapore based website. One discovery for me from this video is the compatibility between this pen and Kaweco Sport Cartridge/converter which I have in plenty !
@@lianelikes yes and No. We can fill the mini-converter to half of its capacity only (with the piston half way down) . A completely filled converter can’t be accommodated in the barrel.
So, theoretically... you could be interested in both the factory green AND the raw brass finishes for your pen, and then be able to have swappable pen pieces? Do the actual grip and barrel and nib of one pen fit into the other?
Here due to the absolutely whack rollerball too. Worst writing experience ever and I also tried a couple of replacements only to conclude that the rollerball parts are really poor and let down the pen entirely. If it wasn’t for this hack it would have gone back so thank you.

That is so helpful! I will definitely give the twsbi nibs a try!
good to know! i prefer a medium or broad nib and the traveler’s nib was a fine point i believe. thanks for sharing this additional option. 🖋️🖋️🖋️
VERY CLEVER Liane!! I bet people are going to love this!!
Thanks, Lorelei!

Oh really??!? That’s amazing!
Same! I got it in rollerball and absolutely hated it. The fountain pen nib was back ordered but I eventually got it and replaced it and it’s lovely now. The rollerball tip didn’t write well and it leaked on my fingers.

Oh my goodness, I'm so glad this video was helpful! It's been a joy using my recently factory green fountain pen. One of my EDC favorites!
This is incredible! Thank you
You're so welcome!
Thank you for sharing this hack! 👍😀👍👏
Of course!
oh wow!! thank you for this discovery!
Of course, Bucky!

Welcome! Where did your journey take you? What nibs work best with your Benu?

Going to watch the video, thanks!

That is good to know, I will use mini converters from now on, thank you!
Great review. What other rollerball or fiber tip pens have you tried that allow fountain pen ink.
Just this one! Haven’t tried anything else.

That is so sad to hear about the rollerball! But glad to know that Schmidt replacement nibs work, too!
Schmidt fountain pen nib works?

Oh wait, the converter fits in the trc pen body??!!?
I will have to try that out!!!

Yes, I believe they do!
Wow. Great hack. Love tips like these.
Who is Robert Oster? Is this a real person? I have never seen a picture of him, nor seen him attend a pen show.
Thanks, R!
I was today years old when i learned the rollerball takes fountain pen ink!
Lol! I know, amazing right?
Hi, will this combination be cheaper than just buy the travelers’ fp?
I don’t know about that. It will surely be the cheaper option if you already had the rollerball pen and also want to try the FP.
I planning to buy myself the raw brass one. Is it possible that i can try this hack with the regular raw brass version?
I’m pretty confident that you can with the raw brass too since the components are identical!
Here due to the absolutely whack rollerball too. Worst writing experience ever and I also tried a couple of replacements only to conclude that the rollerball parts are really poor and let down the pen entirely. If it wasn’t for this hack it would have gone back so thank you.

Cap is 2 Long
