Conway Stewart is an English Pen Company that has been making fountain pens for decades. The Company specialises in manufacturing Bespoke Vintage Style Premium Fountain Pens. All their nibs are tested individually by an in-house reputable Nibmeister before shipping.
No matter how many beautiful fountain pens there are, TWSBI is the "ride or die" pen. No matter the ink, it performs well and never gets hard starts either. Thanks for your videos!
I love the story behind the Conway pen! I hope that each of my pens carries a story when I’m gone. I think you just gave me an idea of writing a mini story of each of my pens. 😊
What a great list, and welcome (officially) to the channel, Juliet Grace! I would guess Ancient Copper, Opera Rose, Brilliant Brown in addition to the Wearinguel ink you shared at the end of your video. Happy birthday to Liane Likes as well! 🎈
Lately, my favorite pens are Pilot retractables (VP, Decimo Fermo), and TWSBI's (Diamond Mini and Swipe). I like to fill pens, including piston fillers like the Mini whose nib unit unscrews, using a needle syringe and that helps with the shimmers so all the particles aren't getting sucked through the feed at once. Really, any Pilot or TWSBI is reliably fantastic and I have others.
Your pen collection brings me so much joy to look at! I love a TWSBI, never had any issues with either of the two in my collection and they are quite enjoyable to write with. It might be helpful in these videos to include information like weight and length, capped and uncapped, even as just a text blurb on the screen or in the Description box, for comparison purposes. You mention beautiful shading for Othello, but on Mobile from this distance, that beautiful shading is missed! I do appreciate that your mic pics up on the sound of your writing to provide auditory feedback information ❤
i love your new vintage pen…it’s so elegant! my best guess on your inks would be: pilot iroshizuku ina-ho, diamine ancient copper, pelikan brilliant brown (only because you said so lol), teranishi opera rose, and something j. herbin. looking forward to your reveal. totally enjoyed your favorite pen reveal. 😊
This was fun to watch. For your top inks, I can think of three off the top of my head-Diamine Ancient Cooper, Herbin Lames de Casis, Wearinegul Kyeong-Hee.
At one point the Sailor, Every Rose Has it's Thorn was my Grail pen, but I just never pulled the trigger on it. I kinda moved on from it, but looking at yours makes me want it again 🥰
Hi Liane, wonderful video 😍 I have a vintage pen that has the same lever filled mechanism and I have not used it because I have no clue how to clean out some of the old residue of the ink that was in there previously. How do you clean yours? Or if anyone else can help me I would really appreciate it!! Thank you! 😊
I have the Kaweco Brass Sport and I want to love writing with it but cannot. It feels separated and not one with my hand. Thank you for mentioning the Traveller’s Company Brass pen- I will consider it.
Yes, I’ve had that same experience with the Kaweco brass and aluminum bodies. Not so much with their plastic sports. If you like the feel of brass, definitely try the TRC brass pen. I do feel very comfortable with it!
A hot tip for French pronunciation is if you mentally replace every "r" you see with "gh", you will almost always get closer to the proper pronunciation. French "r" and American "r" are truly not the same letter, so a big part of the battle is mental there.
@@thomasalbrecht35 whimsy didn't change her pronunciation in later videos & it's fine. I tend to assume people want to pronounce things in a correct if anglicized way, but it's a pretty low stakes issue no harm in offering, anyhow.
literally just bought a twsbi eco pen (the cafe bronze of that same collection) in F and im so excited to hear a glowing review 😩 I think fountain pen shopping is still really nerve wracking for me yet LOL because there's just so much variation from pen to ink. But I'm breathing a sigh of relief now haha
You are the First person I see who writes the letter G like I do. I don't feel so lonely anymore hahahahha. Also, for me it's always TWSBI. I even bought an Estie and it came with a defect so I had to return it and I was heart broken after that.
I think Pelikan Brown will easily be on top. lie de the I am guessing would be too with ancient copper. Ok I might be telling the inks I want to buy soon :33
Hi sorry to bother, I would like to change my platinum little star nib for an EF too but I don’t know where can I get it ? Please recommend me a place 😊
Lamy Safari hands down for a beginners pen. Reason being it is indestructible and easy to use. The two TWSBIS I’ve owned were delicate and started leakibg in less than 6 months. Amazing writers but…too delicate for my clumsy hands. :)
Both are great! If you prefer having a single pen with maximum ink capacity, get the TWSBI. If you want to switch it up with inks more often, get the Lamy because they are much easier to clean!

I have several vintage and love the design but find the nibs a tad "hard". Otherwise, love 'em.

Ah, makes so much sense as to why I have such trouble with shimmers in TWSBIs. Ink syringe fill next time!

Love how there are 6 top 5.
The TWISBI is awesome. I have one on the way!
How exciting!
I have never used any of the pens (or inks) in your list. Now I am inspired.
My favourites of those are the Conway Stewart, Estie BG, and the TWSBI Eco RG. Great Video 😊

What a fantastic top 5+1! I await your inks instead of guessing. 😹 Thanks for sharing! 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋
Hi Liane! I always love it when your videos pop up!
Thank you 🙏 Liane for the great video!
Curious where you buy your pen case? And do you like it?
It's a Galen Leather 20-pen case that I got from their website! I love it.
Oh that sailor pro gear is my big wish pen!
Your pen holder is beautiful! What make is it?
If you're talking about the leather pen case, it's made by Galen Leather and it is a 20-pen case. Thank you!
Gotta love that Sailor 21k nib.

I think possibly Kitsune Byori must be in your list! Or maybe opera rose?

Nice video thanks!
Did you change the nib yourself ?
If you're talking about my Traveler's Company pen, yes, I did!
@@lianelikes can you do that to any fountain pen ?

Torn between getting my first TWISBE or LAMMY SAFARI?????

Hemingway Jones just did a whole video on Conway Stewart!!
I could not see the ink.
Camera too far away from the table. Impossible to see the writing samples...Otherwise your discussion is excellent...good information.
Please tell us your UA-cam channel so we can view and critique your videos . . . 😂.
