This video is so helpful tysm!!! i love all your dance covers so much you two are TALENTED no money can buy your talents sending love from Philippines~❤️
Happu holidays to you too~~
Hi Ellen and Brian im one of ur biggest fans and i respect you both so much you( i low key hope you see this comment )
You both are the best and all of the dances i learned where from you guys also please make a tutorial of Jopping. Love Ya
So much. No yous😅
This is the most transparent I’ve seen anyone ever be about how much they earn on UA-cam. Thank you!
Watch shelby church's video (she exposed all the numbers)
@@tanveer_atwal Damn i thought you were making me a Peaky Blinders Joke.
theyre not the only ones doing this...
@@MatraBatra We know but we didn't search for this video, it just got recommended to us.
noir noir a lot of channels are starting to do this now apparently. What an interesting trend
other youtubers: I can’t tell u guys how much I make
Ellen and Brian: well you see for every one of our videos we make....
Maybe they had informed UA-cam about this content. I know fee youtubers that actually did the same thing, and they said "I've contacted youtube, and they say okay about showing how much I got from youtube"
Terms of Service mostly says you can't disclose your YT revenue but when you earn so little from UA-cam ... there really is no risk in disclosing it.
I like ur profile pic 😆
Bts armyforever I know that lol
hahah yeah
It's kinda upsetting to see you two work so hard on your covers only to earn 8 dollars. I'm glad you're gaining more this year cause y'all really deserve it
I don't get it is it 8 dollars per view for that particular video or is it 8 dollars in total
@@nehakannath7210 8 dollars in total
No way :0
Then how do youtubers make money?
@@benaustin2214 $50/view is quite unreasonable as everyone that uploads will at least get $50 as they will have at least 1 view on their video :)
@@karanotoke the 8 dollars total was because their video got demonetized cuz of copyright (music), videos that stay monetized with a million views earn more.
The question now: how much money did this video make? 😂
That was a nice question 😂😂😂
@@kookie-py this video need 30s more to be 10min
I came here for that
It hasn't gone above a million yet peeps
This is a total guess but, I think a general rule of thumb is roughly $1 per 1000 views. Could be much more or less in reality based on different factors. But ballpark figure they probably have earned about $50 from this video so far (54k views).
The proposal made me cry a lot but don't tell Ellen and Brian that
You have 1.3k likes and your comment in the top top comment after ellen and brian comment.
Why did you comment it tho?
@@tyrsjo4077 I thought it was going to get buried under the rest of the comments

Woah one video you're getting over $900 and then you get $1.20 for icy, thats really unpredictable 😂
I know, imagine how disappointing it would be to learn a whole dance and getting a dollar

@@onIythepinks oooh true i agree
BOIII can't believe that actually they used their free time and spent hours to practice, film and edit for the dance covers and they only got $1-$8?? I'm speechless
It really shows how much passion they have for kpop and dancing. Makes me appreciate them so much more
I love the passion
Bighit didn’t play with money they give the good amounts😂
it's not bighit investing in ads though, im pretty sure it's other companies who see bts content as profitable so they buy ads for those
big goober its a joke.
@@twangdu and i was just informing them since it sounded like op was saying bighit paid lol there's no harm done
Yessz
to BTS My biggest love they be like here
Today’s lesson: do BTS dance covers
but like they can also strike down your videos...many bts covers gets striked down for some reason thats the thing otherwise I would also start covering bts songs to make money😂
and do proposal videos
• kyoko saikou •
we're all single tho
*When you can’t dance*
ermm but blackpink dance cover get more viewers.......
Imagine... They don't earn that much money with there videos.. butt they always have those dawm good outfits.
Ikr
Some of the clothes are sponsored you can see on Instagram
A LOT of what UA-camrs make come from brand deals and sponsors. And they get free stuff from brands
I think they also have a day job
@@mangopeachy394 true but to use that money to buy outfits for something they almost make no money of
ELLEN AND BRIAN SHARING THEIR INCOME IS SOMETHING NOT ALL OF PEOPLE DO
THEY'RE HUMBLE
In essence
J HOPE: generous af
YG : won’t give you a single cent
Kpop youtubers have a hard time earning money guys , how many of us can even reach 1 mil views ? Think about it haah
Yah 😂😂
And I guess with JYP it varies a lot haha
Sophia K. Yea but they got 178$ with kill this love and I think the Bighit is kinda the same as JYP cuz the money will vary if they did other songs from BTS but they’d prolly get more money then they’d get with different JYP songs
I think companies put more ads on BTS stuff because they see them as more profitable. They probably put less on YG videos cuz all that happened in 2019... yk what i mean...
UMG is stricter in terms of copyright than ygent.
6:32 don’t even be surprised it’s just the power.Of jhope and I’m used to that
My man literally paid 3m for cns original song copyright.. And remade the song... And released it for free.. Mmmmmmm generous king
Türk?😍
🥴
I know right!
Dang y’all could be doin vlogs and being rich that says a lot about people on UA-cam now I’m glad u guys are staying true to what you want and yourselves
I love how honest and open this is, a lot of other UA-camrs aren't that clear cut about this sorta stuff but it's cool to know that it varies so much and has so many factors that play into it.
well can you blame those other youtubers? if they make little money they're made fun of, if they make too much they are "rich" shamed so yeah
Actually other UA-camrs talk about how much money was earn from different countries watching their videos. That also play a factor cause each ads playing from different countries will get different revenue and how much money earn from every 1000 views.
Idk but the way ellen talks she is like my teacher discussing😂
isn't ellen an actual teacher tho?
@@joangang9138 yeah maybe, bcs she mentioned that she work in education industry. So it makes sense😂
Imagine being a new student and watching Ellen and Brian then realizing that Ellen will be your teacher
@@thickass3477 How I wish haha I will fail my subject to meet her over and over again heheh jk😂

Thanks for educating us on this. I really had no idea how the whole monetization thing works but from now I’m never going to skip any ads if I want to support them ❤️
ETHEREΛL Arts okay, so basically by watching their videos I’m filling up the agency’s pockets? Fine by me, atleast they are getting money to produce high quality music 🤷🏽♀️
the most honest, educated, respectful and beautiful people my eyes have ever witnessed
Can y'all stop with "last time I was this early" comments and actually talk about the vid? It's actually pretty interesting and they took the time to tell us so please appreciate that. Thanks Ellen and Brian for explaining this It was super informative 💛💛
Last time I was this early @Pearl Gold was out here trying to control UA-cam comments

fuck you dont tell anyone what to do ffs
@@mattm7378 i'm sorry but you can't just telling people what to comment about..it's their choice as long as it is not a bad comment or something inappropriate
Bighit is so generous 😂. Lol
Emjhay Lapira i wish they did. I assume cause bts is so trending lately and bts is world known right now so they get more money out of it
Guys my friend puts dance covers and her permission to dance cover got a copyright claim..
J-Hope was like: bros I feel like u passed the chicken noodle soup challenge - imma give u 300 dollars for this yay
Jhope is the best, peace
Haha yes
I thought you gained more money damn youtube is a b
That's bc of copyright
Then stop using it
dexter matthias but the channel is mostly dance cover so majority of their channels are copy righted. Even kpop reactions from famous you tuber is similar. If they want more money i guess they need to make a different channel doing something else
Quen Parantar I didn’t know that Korean songs had copyright laws...been a while.
Its only to be expected bc from the companys perspective, its not fair for a stranger to use their music w/o permission and gain money from it.
I absolutely love how they refer to each video as “our” instead of “Ellen’s cover” or “Brian’s cover” 🥺
Even though they don't earn enough money for themselves, their dance covers are the best
*imagine how much money bts get from their music videos*
@@ahsokaincognito where did you get these info from? No one knows their income and how much they made during their carrer
hopeworld It is different. Bc ellen and brian's videos are copyrighted so it's normal for them to get little income, the revenue goes to the original creator, who get the major share, before them. It pretty much depends on how the company manages copyright. And on yt there is a difference of listing for the videos. Music videos are under music listing meanwhile I think ellen and brian's ones are listed under blog which generates different revenue as well.
Moritz M. Where are YOU getting your info from? The members get a huge chunk out of the money they make.
Moritz M. Namjoon did not buy a $4M dollar apartment in cash for u to say they don’t make 1M a year LMAOOOO 😭
Moritz M.
They made over $50 million dollars from their love yourself in 2018 and bighit gives the members 70% of any profit they make so I really doubt they made less than $1 million dollars their entire career.
This is so interesting honestly! Everyone is always so secretive about money and how much they earn but to me, this is actually really interesting. Just seeing the insides of things no one ever talks about
First of all wtf...the hard work doesn't pay that well..
And I noticed a pattern that if a company wants some exposure for their artists, then they don't enforce the copyrights so strictly like in the case of Somi and Everglow, and maybe bighit wanted some exposure for chicken noodle soup too..
But not getting money for Itzy covers is weird...
Cns is owned by jhope though.
There is no bighit intro in the mv.
moon that’s false...daydream doesn’t have bighit’s intro either. Most of their solo work don’t have bighit’s intro. Look at Agust D he doesn’t have the intro.
@@infinityxna it is because the solo works are owned by the members themselves. Agust d, hope world, mono etc are solo mixtapes by the members. They are their own individual works
i think its also because more people would want to put their ads on things that are high in popularity like BlackPink and BTS cuz these groups r more known internationally as they're made appearances in music awards and Coachella
not even a trillion dollars can buy the talent they have
They are so beautiful and so unique
Love these guys!!!!
I thought demonitised literally means no money no matter how many views😱 I'm so shocked you still got some😱😱😱?
when my videos get copyrighted I literally get 0, not even 1 cent
@@casperkristensen1730 stuff about clc why dont you just look lol
Me too!
Same thought. How did that happen?
I think it is because your channel mainly focuses on music?
you need a million subscribers to get that million subscriber youtuber treatment
The fact that they’re both holding adorable pillows makes me so soft uwu
it’s tiring being a youtuber, especially if that’s your main income, because you get so high off of views but then reality strikes and you get barely any money from it
i mean people that rely on youtube as their main incomr and drop out of school are just stupid
sel Q_Q
Not really. If it’s their passion and it keeps them financially stable, it’s more than some people that go to school and have jobs can say.
sel Q_Q well it depends right? If you blog your daily life in luxury and people keep watching your clips you make a whole lot but you also have to spend a lot of money and hope you get money in return. Or if you react to toys , tools , cars etcc. If lucky the company sponsors you and make tons. This is their hobby outside of work. If it wasnt their hobby they wouldn’t do it and in return you make some money also.
In their case they mostly don't do original content. If their videos were not copyrighted they would make way more lmao
Wrong!!!
People can make serious money become a UA-camr!!!
The main stipulation is it has to be Original Content!!!
A lot of UA-camr makes over a million dollars a year!!
I really appreciate you guys going through the behind the scenes of monetization for your videos. You guys made it easy to follow. Thanks ✨

u guys are soo kind to share this type of stuff bc most of the people (that are in youtube), doesn't really like to share those things amd you guys are completely comfortable to talk abt it. thank you sm for this. you really deserve all this money and all of our support.
This just made me love you guys more! The transparency and how you didn't seem to mind at all that you were admitting that your UA-cam videos dont earn you as much money as other UA-camrs (and the fact you never compared yourselves with others) just makes me so proud that I am a fan of yours. I hope you earn more revenue from this vid and the videos to come! ❤
I love how open you talk about it while many youtubers won't even directly tell.
i love that y’all don’t rely on youtube as a source of income but still love making videos and upload so consistently

This is so amazing! Thank you for sharing!
this is actually a lot of new knowledge to me. i never knew that you werent able to make money off of kpop videos and that makes me sad since you guys work so hard to upload covers often :( but then again, the songs and choreo do belong to the company. i’ll start to support your vlogs more often so yall can get that coin ;)

Thanks for this! I found this really interesting, not that I ever want to get into being a UA-cam creator but I have always been curious about how much they can make, and this video gave some great insight.
the way ellen read out 3.80 cents so seriously made me laugh 1:18
Other UA-camrs: do clickbait titles about their income and it just turns out to be like 2 seconds of a Q&A where they say they can’t tell you
Brian and Ellen: went above and beyond and made a whole legit video about it
Y’all are the most honest UA-camrs I’ve ever met wowow. I’m so sad some of your videos don’t get much money tho. The bloopers video really showed how much work and energy it takes. Y’all need to get paid more for working so hard and doing this on top of a whole ass day job 🤧😔💕

I honestly think y’all should like make dances for non-copyright songs sometimes. You’re both so talented, and it’s sad to see how little money you guys make. Really nice vid!~
This is all super interesting tysm for sharing! I wonder if you earn much revenue for Instagram as both your accounts are super popular. Also big respect that you didm't drag this video out, I noticed that you said vlog and Q&A videos are really the only monetised videos you have and you can make more money if they're over 10mins. This video was 9.34 mins and could have easily been stretched to the 10 min mark - goes to show that content creation truly isn't about money for you
