I used to buy luxury items but in recent years I wanted to simplify my closet and reduce the quantity of what I own. There were bags, shoes and clothes I only used once or twice /yr because I had so many to choose from. I'm not a collector of luxury to just look at them on a shelf. Now, I have my favorites and use them frequently. For me, this was liberating as I don’t want to go to sales and consume just because an item is discounted. I changed the way I thought about consuming. I had enough and didn’t need more “stuff” to take care of, maintain and store properly. I’m sure I’ll buy a piece here and there, but the desire to buy is gone. I still enjoy the fun of looking at current luxury items but I don’t have the need to buy it and bring it home, only to be added to a large collection of “stuff”. (No shade or judgement intended)
Same here! I reduced my entire closet down to just 1 large luggage. I noticed my handbags and clothes were barely being used and taking up space. Since going minimal, I feel I’m much more creative in fashion and I’m no longer interested in buying when I go window shopping 😊 still enjoying seeing trends but I don’t need anything
@@toko_ribbon thanks for your comment, Toko. I appreciate more the items I decided to keep and find they work well with everything else. I feel free from the urge to splurge, I suppose, at a certain point in one’s life, enjoying what we have, instead of the quest for more, is a very comfortable state of being. I splurge on experiences, vacations, but not on stuff that clutters my closet.
Spot on! For me, I just have a list in my mind with things I need only. If I happened to find something I need discounted thats great. The items Sophie showed are nice but for my lifestyle I do not believe I would wear them more than once. I prefer simple&practical items and mostly for daily use.
I’m an Aussie and vividly recall going to Bicester Village with my mum a few years back. We loved it! And many items I bought I still wear and enjoy today. Thanks for bringing back lovely memories ❤
I think people only chasing exclusivity of luxury is almost sort of odd. I don’t mind outlets at all as a luxury consumer. And I’ll proudly go to an outlet. I do both. It’s versatility. I’m not into luxury for exclusivity. I genuinely enjoy it and I enjoy the history of so many brands!
If a duplicate is just as good as an authentic to pass an authentication test, at a tenth of the value......thats the problem. Thats why the market exists. 1-1 replicas are the real investment bags, you get the quality and same materials, for a 10th of the price, but it passes the tests
You've got to be alert at BV! I'm checking every label for tell-tale made-for-outlet signs. Every brand does something different! I need another trip to BV, and SOON! Have a great week, Sophie x
@@StyledByGwenny You’re so right Gwenny, you literally have to be ON IT! (And that’s not easy when you’re trying to covert film at the same time haha!! You know how it goes!) Hugs to you my friend and have the nicest evening!!🩷🩷🩷xx
Hi Sophie, Love Bicester ! Miss Bicester ! Love that red coach heart shaped bag and the green Ferragamo and the Fendi sneakers and matching bucket bag ❤️
I saw your Bicester village vlog and thought you should buy the coral Fendi First! Im so happy to see you got it! It’s beautiful! Enjoy! Love your content.
Outlets here in Australia, in my experience, tend to be nowhere near as good as UK/USA/Europe, but there are still bargains to be had. As you say, a certain amount of caution and research is needed. I would like to go to Bicester Village if I ever return to London. There does seem to be a lot of luck involved in scoring a bargain! Thank you for the video!
Our Coach outlet is doing the same, I just noticed that when I was there last week, they also had Tabby bags. Interesting that it's across multiple stores. The closest thing we have to something like Bicester is over by NYC, about 7 hours away. One of these days I would like to go check it out.
Unpopular but someone has to say it. If you can find items you can buy in Harrods less than a year in an outlet shop that is no longer Luxury. The exclusivity is gone as well as the justification of the prices asked. I do not take brands that mix seriously anymore IE your Tory Burch, MK, coach ETC.
I think random bags from Dior Prada etc in quirky colours sent to outlet on sale are fine. I bought an orange Dior bag from the outlet which was merely 20% off but I loved it. Could’ve bought 10 coach bags w that price lmao.
I agree, if you have a look at these, none of them are actually classic pieces, in a few months they might become even tacky and you will stack them in the back of your wardrobe.
Hi Sophie ! The Fendi First you got is so beautiful 😍 I'm curious what you can put in it , do you have a special handbag insert to match its form ? Surely you have lots of experience and a " fashion- trained eye " to pick up gems .
Down in south Florida, we have sawgrass mills outlets, which is like BV. I've gotten some great deals here. Next time i come to the UK i want to go to BV. Have a great week🎉Ev
I don't see a lot of vlog in Paris, and I will go there next year, so I was wondering what's the difference between the deals on BV vs. La Valle is? I'm eyeing the fendi first and I love yours.
I like watching the videos because it allows me to see the difference between knockoffs. If it looks well made, it saves time, and the HQDUPE is not much different from the real thing. I would love to continue watching more videos like this if I have the time.
Omg I loved Biscter! I only went in 2017 but I came back with so much!! A Tory Burch sweater and belt, a gucci scarf, a bag from Marc Jacob’s and one from Kate spade - a jacket from Prada for 250 pounds!!!! It was 85 % off! And loads of stuff for my family from Longchamp, timberland etc … loved that spree!
We have their sister outlet in Ireland called “Kildare Village” (about an hour south of Dublin down the M7) which looks identical but I’d love to see Bicester as there so many more star brands there. I treat these places like TK Maxx, bargins can be had once you know the tricks
Hello, if one day you decide to let go of Fendi pack back in lilac Color. I would like to buy from you. Two days ago you went Bicester, did you see light pink watch at Fendi? I wonder if Fendi would ship to Canada. Thank you Anne
Hello lovely Olga! I really think the Alma BB is a great one you know, it’s small but not tiny (I can fit a small water in mine). But it’s so classic and timeless too! 🥰 Just my thoughts xx
Unfortunately I did not have a good time there a few year's ago, probably during the covid. I had bad experience with staff being rude in the shops and it wasn't very clean but that is just my experience. I had a much better experience at the Spalding Outlet this year. I prefer getting real bargains as I am cheap. I got 6 next waistcoats for £3 each.
The chunky sneakers are down, because they are no longer in trend, my guess would bethe same for the loafers. I assume that classic pieces will not be on sale. But loved the video at least I learned that I never missed a thing when I did not go there.
I always enjoy your Bicester Village videos. It looks like such a fun place. I remember you bought a Balenciaga bag there a couple of years ago, the hourglass one I think? It was in an unusual color and pattern. My fave of your Village bags is that red heart Coach bag!

It is still luxury.... it's just not classic pieces. All Halo brands are doing current fashion pieces and styles to focus on a financial win

Have you worn the Louboutin loafers yet? If not, sell them and get the other ones with the crystals.
Great tips 👍. TFS
Hi Lovely! Do you know if they would ship DHL internationally to Toronto Canada? If at all possible could you ask them if opportunity arises ❤
Most probably you will have to pay duties that makes no sense to purchasing from outlet. Plus courier shipping fees
Would really love to go to Bicester but haven’t managed it yet ❤
How much were the crystal Prada reissue bags?
