I also like the version of the lore that beholders are actually created when an astral dreadnought sleeps by a color pool in the astral. Makes the "spawns more beholders when sleeping" even funnier because it is a nesting doll situation
@@LorepaediaSome say that Astral Dreadnoughts are creations of Tharizdun, and given that we know he can alter reality unconsciously, there's a case to be made that Dreadnoughts may well be the products of dreams themselves.
Is it the Beholder's fault humans can't make it in the Far Realm? Imagine trying to exist in 2 different universes, they kinda have a point. I'm guessing our universe is disorienting and probably pisses them off.
I wouldn't think so. Insofar as threats from the Far Realm go, Beholders are comparatively weak and friendly. Even more deadly than the many Elder Evils that dwell within, the very substance of the Far Realm would seem to be anathema to matter, and by extension life, from the Prime Material. On a related note, given that Beholders have become "naturalized" to the Prime Material exceptionally well, I would venture to guess that their distant ancestors would be much more dangerous and alien.
