I've watch every seson of Salvage Hunters where Alex restored Furniture. Let me just say that He's a woodworking magicsian😁
I'just found this Chanel and watched all videos. I've had a dream for many years and that is restoring Furniture. My grandfather did that as a profession and I've learned from him.
Under The pandemic I started up in a little shop in our house. I've done some Jobs but offvourse ned more.
And today I learned a whole lot more from Alex. So thanks a lot and I'm looking forward to more videos.

Brilliant first episode and very professionally presented! I really enjoyed the discussion, topics and knowledge you both shared, I’m looking forward to the workshops and hope they include treating wood for outdoors as I’m restoring some Victorian Coalbrookdale bench ends just now and have just purchased Elm live wood slabs for them, keep up the great work!

Very good guys. Really enjoyable and informative. Looking forward to the practical videos but it's good to hear the tips on the business side of things. I don't think there is as many fairs in irerland as ye have in the UK. But maybe I'm just not just to hearing about them. Thanks guys. Looking forward to the next video

Alex for years you were so quiet. When Drew dropped things off you did not speak much, so it is good to hear you now.
At some point it would be nice if you talked about the size of your work table! That is crazy! I have no shop space so I cannot do what you do, but what I have learned is how to look for repairs or areas likely to be damaged and possibly covered up. I watched you through your talk here and I see great skill, a friend or partner who helps you focus and you do not like to sit still. It has been a great pleasure to watch you work on television, I look forward to watching you here!

    Hello Alex, Great Video
Love to hear this, as a young wannabe restorer. Quick Question where did you study for your Qualifications? Was it an Apprenticeship, degree or purely self-taught?

People can also look for shared space like our community workshop (mens sheds) where they can hone skills , share tools and pick the brains of older wiser old blokes

Alex I am trying to be a restorer. I have done so many diverse projects over last year & recently have had need to use a wood plane. Can you show me how to load & set a wood plane. I started using one a few weeks ago but it just doesn't 'feel right' maybe i have put the blade in at a weird angle. Yes it does have the sharp end in the right direction lol. Its a stanley plane if that makes a difference.
