Wonderful episode, but would echo other comments on the volume issue. Please try to sort out the microphone problem. Very difficult to hear what you're saying. But, keep at it, the channel will be a winner for you.

I think you do need a separate microphone because even with the audio cranked full up, it's hard to hear you. And we definitely want to hear you!

Hi, I am from Hong Kong. Would be much appreciated if U could provide link of the wax you use , in particular colored wax, of where I can buy them. Tks . Also, getting the EXACT color in wood restoration is very difficult to me. Glad if U can share a video on this.

Very good and extremely interesting. Is pine the standard material for the frames or were some made from oak or elm?

    • @alexwebsterrestoration1058

Your initial volume was weak, but it got better.
You said these were built for looks but they don't sound very sturdy, which seems so different from many other pieces. Were they built in place then?
Oops okay when you moved over to describe the collar, the volume took a hit and I had to turn it way up! Even when you stopped working on the collar and you were speaking of fixing cracks it got worse, where is your mic? It should be on you somewhere. Definitely the mic location.
I'm looking at the cleaning you have to do! My gosh, elbow grease galore! It is nice but I'm not a marble guy! Great job Alex I am so looking forward to more!

Thanks Kerry. No there were not built in place, and they would be solid, but after 200 years they show it. Yeah we are struggling with the sound but I think we'll have ot sorted soon. Thanks for watching.

@@alexwebsterrestoration1058 I don't mind the sound but when your show ends I terrify the dog while I get it turned down again. 😂🤣
The only reason I mention structure was you didn't seem to feel they were that sturdy to start with, just me not totally understanding you.

Is/was it a common thing to use the sidewalk in front of the shop, next to the street to do work in GB? I´ve seen you doing it before and wondered; here in Germany you could get in trouble if you regularly would dust the streets like this, you have to hide in your backyard ;-) Greetings from Germany.
