I didn't quite like the Explorer 1 36mm because of how slender and petite it is, but once I got the call and bought it from the AD, it's slowly winning over all my other watches, even my Reverso Duoface which I was so much in love. Now I wear the Explorer exclusively. Sometimes the watch you hate will be the one you love the most.
“Watches I think are a little bit like shoes”…that’s what I tell my wife when she asks me why I need another watch as I stare at the 50 pairs in her closet. I completely understand your take on the Air King. I fully admit to having an unhealthy lust for a Milgauss, but I’m hesitant to save up for one. Buyer’s remorse (or losing the emotional connection) is a real concern, especially when spending that much time and money to get one. At least with the Rolex you had a better chance of breaking even after selling it.
Haha it's always good to have ammunition ready to answer the other half 😂 👠... Nice - the Milgauss was a close second for me when I was obsessing over a 'luxurious purchase'...maybe it would have worked out differently 😅🤷♂️... If you do end up going for it one day you're right at least you won't lose out on it financially like you say 🙌
Honestly guys... This Grail watch thing... Is Wayyyy Too Overrated... I was lusting after one of the Rolexes too... Until a seasoned collector woke me up... There Will Always Be a better, pricier, more well-made, well-featured, better... Well, everything watch... Also, I dunt think that great watches have to come... With even Greater price tags...
My first luxury watch was and still have till this day my Rolex submariner date. I purchased this watch as a celebration of my first real corporate job decades ago. It has all the wear scratches and patina today and traveled with me to many countries. Sure I would get tired of it after wearing it constantly for several months. But after a rotation with my other watches, I’m right back to the honey moon period of I when I first acquired this watch. I can never sell it even though I bought it for 1/3 what it’s worth today.
Ive owned a Rolex Sub No date since 2014 . To this day I still Absolutely love wearing that watch. Everyone is different. Thanks for sharing your story !👍
Fascinating story. I believe many of us face the issue of setting high expectations for a watch in our minds. When we eventually own it, the experience of wearing it often falls short of the idealized version we had envisioned.
Thanks chief, yes definitely I think the super long wait lists are always an issue as well that further allow you time to build unrealistic expectations perhaps...cheers for the comments 🙂🍻
I picked up my dream watch Ex1 124270. It was perfect when I initially test drove it at the AD, but I just didn’t connect with how it wore on my wrist. It’s a small watch, but I felt in time I’d learn to appreciate it. After all, every review was so positive and I was sold on the “perfect dimensions “. 9 months later and it just never felt right and I had to let it go. Like you I simply recouped the price paid.
Got an air king yesterday and was feeling a bit apprehensive when I was buying it. But then the hard to describe satin like shine on the bracelet and the colours on the dial just killed me. Supreme watch.
It's a great bracelet and there's nothing wrong with the watch for some people it'll truly connect. It's hard to put a finger on what does and doesn't work for us as collectors sometimes. Like with anything though it takes to realise this connection or to end up selling. The avenger 43 is way more enjoyable for me than the air king was. All about the journey right, congrats on the pickup and I'm sure you'll have fun with it. 🙂👍
I felt the same way about my OP41, which I've sold to get a DJ36 fluted bezel jubilee blue dial, it was love at first sight, still love it after some time, it's priceless, the dial keep changing colors during the day due to light effect, that takes the watch to another level of freshness
Thanks for sharing the experience and the current watches you have are a nice bunch to enjoy the rotation of without the necessity of a grail , i think the head tries to convince the heart it wants it but if there's no feeling ..... at least you gave it your best shot to try and make it mean something to the heart so you did the right thing without incurring much or any loss.
Go Flames! My first watch was the Seiko Sarb033 and I after loads of research I purchased it and was so unenthused with it that I didn't wear it for years. Now it's one of my favs behind a birth year manufactured watch I purchased last year.
Not sure how much flames are gonna go this year but we'll see 😬😂... Really interesting, I have a habit of quick selling if I haven't worn something for 2-3 months but maybe I should give some watches more of a chance based on your experience. Thanks for the comments 🍻
I consider myself a collector. I got one of these yesterday and realised it’s all I need in a watch. So, I’m selling off the rest In my collection. I’m only going to keep my Breitling Avenger 43, my Alsta Nautoscaphe, Hamilton Khaki field automatic, Tag Indy 500, Bulova Lunar Pilot, my Panerai and all my Seikos and Casios and my Vostok Amphibia. Also keeping my Chinese specials and my Boldr and Matte Works and Luminox. And my timex camper. Ah shit, who am I kidding 😂
Buy what you love, one watch will never be enough, and every time piece must talk to you in some way, shape, or form…I own 15 watches by now and never plan on selling any of them. Rather I plan to give them away to my children and maybe grandkids one day…cheers and thanks for sharing your journey mate!
Indeed you really need to wear the watch and feel the connection. Fortunately for me, I made the right choice when I bought my Omega Aqua Terra back in early 2000 and I still love it till now.
Cool take. I have a 2002 Rolex DJ with the Tapestry dial, and there was a time where it just wasn't getting much wrist time anymore. I eventually swapped out the oyster bracelet with the cheap clasp for a Jubilee with a better clasp, and it feels almost like a new watch again. Still doesn't quite get the time that some of my other affordable pieces get, but a keeper for sure.
Lovely piece 😎🍻 it's so underrated how much a strap or bracelet change can reignite the flame with a watch when you're just starting to lose interest 🙌
My story is the opposite. I thought I'd just like my Heuer Monaco when I bought it, but I loved it. Then, I bought a metal bracelet for it, and now it's my main watch, and I doubt I'll ever sell it. Whereas the Tudor Pelagos I bought around the same time gets worn about once a week. And the watch I got for the hell of it, my Sinn EZM 13.1, is now my 2nd favourite. Weird how things work.
So unpredictable isn't it? I guess that's the main take away. For this I try not to overhype things in my mind. Awesome to hear you've found something special with the Monaco, I'm sure it looks class on that metal bracelet 😎🙌
@@nextonthewrist Yeah it's great, especially since the lefty version comes on leather as standard, and you must order the bracelet. I've not seen another on metal yet, so I like my special watch. Good luck on your watch journey. We always found our fave watch when the time is right.
If you didn't gel with it, then you did the right thing to sell it. I have the latest version of the AK and couldn't be happier. It's my go to daily ahead of everything else and I never get tired of that unique dial. Just shows that until you actually get the watch on your wrist, you can never be sure......
I certainly appreciate your perspective here. I find myself wanting to go after this particular watch month after month, so I needed to hear these words! Seems to be such a great watch; however, I fear I’d feel the exact same way that you did towards it.
Great topic and new subscriber, here. I had the same experience with my SLA033; I have always loved the Willard more than any other and, once this very expensive ($4250US) L.E. was released in July of 2019, I had to own it. Well, all was rosy for a while - but my love for it faded after a couple of years. The problem I discovered gradually over time was that a slight breeze would scratch my shiny grail mercilessly. "Diashield" and "zaratsu" polishing - while sounding great - became meaningless. Unfortunately, these premium treatments weren't the least bit scratch resistant. I've always babied my watches and wore it daily for a year and a half. The bezel was an absolute scratch magnet and I quickly fell out of love with my SLA033. I recently sold it for a loss but, like you, learned through the experience. Cheers and love your channel. James
Thanks for the comments and story, I guess it's all part of the journey but disappointing for sure when we think we've found the one and it doesn't work. Onwards and upwards though, live and learn and all that - thanks for subbing 🙂🍻
Just love the honesty in your videos. I bought an Omega second hand which i actually loved but sadly it didn't live up to the sales pitch and in fact stopped working. Fortunately I was able to get a refund and move on. I have had a similar experience with guitars where in fact the so-called grail instrument is a big let down and a less expensive model blows you away.
Thanks for the comments 🙂🍻 ... and you're right it definitely applies to more than just watches with the overhype and disappointment... and then the surprise purchase not expecting much and you get a great surprise.
Love this content. As I’ve moved more through my collecting journey I’ve realized that some stuff you think is a grail ends up not working out, and other stuff you didn’t think you’d love, becomes your all time favorite. Long way of saying I’m now a speedy pro fan forever after spending a lot of money to figure that out lol!
You're right, it's not possible to get it right first time. You can only find out through experience. A word of warning though, you may change your mind again in ten years time.
Man, I got the 126900 on "accident" (long story), but after wearing it here and there i definitely learned to appreciate it more and more- now I'm in love with it, always looking forward to the next wear. 🥰
Thanks & good job. I wanted a Rolex Submariner for years. I never got one. Prices are crazy now. Rolex used to be a budget watch. They couldn't compete with quartz so they moved into the luxury niche. They are good at marketing. I think I'll stick with homage watches.
The allure of Rolex to me is their build quality, heft, fit and finish. They have it all. Yes they are expensive. I have a few and didn’t bond with all of them. One in particular I waited for was a DJ41 blue motif dial. I loved that watch in pictures. Got the call from AD, went in, picked it up and brought it home. Wore it for a week and said hmmm the dial on this watch ONLY pops in the outdoor sunlight. When inside it almost looked black. Lack of AR coating on DJ makes a dark dial hard to read. I sold it for what I paid for it and moved on. Then I have my sea dweller…a watch I put on last November and barely have taken it off. It’s been with me for my travel and every event I’ve had. You are right you don’t know until you try it on.
If you can get it through the AD it's a huge advantage that you can sell at the same cost (or more) if you don't bond with it as you did with the DJ. Interesting experience - I've never handled the sea dweller but it looks really nice in pictures. Happy you found one to really bond with, thanks for the comments 🙂 🍻
The sane thing happened to me with an Omega Speedmaster. I always thought about the moonwatch like a grail along with the Submariner. I got both, and both are long gone. On the other hand, my GMT Pepsi will be my son's watch one day.
Here’s what I think the problem was. You got the wrong version. I’ve been eyeing that model for a long time. I loved the pop of green, the text, the very black dial, but something wasn’t clicking for me. It seemed off, didn’t like the white gold numerals and something about that 5 bothered me as well. I also really wanted crown guards on my Rolex. I couldn’t pull the trigger. The only other Rolex I liked was interested in was the Skydweller. It was a bit chunky so I let the idea of owning a Rolex go. Then the new AK was released and it fixed everything, improving the weird lume thing. Did even hesitate, I pulled the trigger straight away. The watch is thin and very dynamic. Absolutely love it! So glad I waited. I would not have bonded with the 116900. Some people like it, I just did not look right to me…
Maybe - I couldn't say in total honesty unless I tried the 126900 for a few weeks 🙂...great to hear you found the one for you though and thanks for the comments 🍻
Try one on, I really think you’d like it. I’m telling you man, I am so NOT a Rolex fan, I love Omega, own two, my bb58, my Zenith and GS. I’ve avoided Rolex like a plague for years. This AK got me…little secret, on the list for a Skydweller…lol
You don't create memories for a watch or any inanimate object. The moment creates the memory and sometimes somethings will be connected to the moment and therefor the memory. It's an organic process though.
The moment was magic, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I'll be forever grateful for it. The moment did not transfer to the watch however, so yes in that case despite the obvious link between a watch originally built and designed to commemorate RAF pilots, and a moment flying an aircraft that trained those brave pilots... Organic link did not occur 👍
I own it as a part of my collection. It goes on my wrist quite often and I like it a lot. If you like to be different and like things which are a bit outside of the cloud of commonly accepted objects of desire you will enjoy this watch immensely. Just imagine how boring the world would be if everyone was wearing Submariners and Daytonas…
Nothing to do with a 'commonly desired cloud of objects' for me and why I didn't bond with it. I have a lot rarer watches that I like a lot more, there's so many different things you can value (or not) in a watch that gives us all such different tastes. Objectively like I say its a great watch, but it's also a mass produced watch from the world's most famous watch brand so obscure it definitely isn't 😅
Watches.... sigh....I lusted over a Speedy... bought the 1861.... sold it...a year later bought it again as I realised I made a mistake A few months later I sold it again I think sometimes the watch just isn't what you dream about. And it's time to move on Currently my main watch is the Aqua Terra 2503.50.00...... who knows if the honey moon will last We are all a little mad P.s. i like what you said about connecting with the Mido more than your Airking....i have the same experience with loving my 5600e G shock more than most watches I've owned. Only the Aqua Terra equals the feeling.... finding the right watch really is a mission and involves a lot of work and careful assessment and definitely lots of time. And sometimes you end up loving a watch that you never considered , until you try it on
Great summary. I really like the aqua terra (I think having not actually owned one) but definitely one of my favorite omegas. You put it perfectly, we are all a little mad. 🙌🙌... cheers for the comments I enjoyed reading 🙂🍻
@@nextonthewrist no worries at all. Yeah the watch hobby really is a little crazy and makes no sense, but somehow we all carry on and can't seem to stop this beautiful obsession. I do like the Aqua Terra a lot.. I love the older Omegas in general to be honest... shame you didn't connect with the Rolex . I wanted the Explorer for years but I don't think it's something I'll get now. There are many other watches that are just as great, but can be enjoyed at a reasonable price and without a waiting list
My Rolex got ''beaten'' by a Hamilton... I ended up selling my Rolex because I found myself choosing the Hamilton over Rolex more and more... Try to connect to a watch not just because it's Rolex, I ask people: hey nice Rolex what model is this and 8/10 they answer idk it's a present watch... BRUH
Yeah I think name on the dial alone is all some people desire. As it goes with branding in other walks of life like fashion and cars... Good to hear the Hamilton is serving you well, I hope to pick one up soon, I quite like the frogman in 41mm. Thanks for the comments 🍻
What a great reflection you have shared and I am having a dilemma whether to get a Rolex Sea Dweller two tone or not. Still on the fence and thinking. However, it's so true what you say that as times as buyers we keep thinking about "resale value" instead of the memories we will make with the watch. I have Omegas, Tudor, Breitling, Hamilton, Tissot and 2 Rolexes. (1 handed down date just and a DSSD JC 116660). So I am thinking of another Rolex to close the chapter on my collecting. All my timepieces have a story to tell actually, both good and bad memories.
I started with the 116900 thinking I only need one and nothing else. Oh man was I wrong.. 4 Rolex’s a couple of grand seikos and patek’s later.. Don’t get me wrong. I’m happy I got it. It’s just I can’t stop 😂
"Life is the hardest teacher... it gives the test first and the lesson afterwards" Sorry it didn't work out for you. BTW the aeroplane you flew in was a DH 82a Tiger moth. WW2 era trainer. Not WW1.
Your video was very interesting and objective, thanks. I’ve had similar experiences in life where I want something for years and then when I see it to buy the emotional fire just wasn’t there ((911 Porsche last year). In contrast I bought a 2001 Breitling Aviastar a few months ago and I am just head over heels with it, my favourite watch by far and I include a Submariner 14070m in that. I too like the Air King, as you say that green really works however my problem with having one is that I also have a Seiko SRPG29 that cost £220 or so and it’s fantastic- I urge you to have a look at one, I promise you won’t be disappointed. I’ll sign off now and subscribe. Cheers :-)
Something about late 90s early 00s Breitlings just does it for me, great pick up with yours 🙌...I have looked at these Seikos before although only online rather than in person - I'll revisit it after your reccomendation. Thank you so much for the comments and subscribing of course much appreciated 🙂🍻
I have a Rolex Explorer 2, a Tudor Pelagos and a TAG Heuer Carrera amongst others. Yet I always gravitate towards wearing a white faced Seiko Chronograph Sports 150 from the early '90's. It's had 30 years wear. I fell in love with it in a Jeweller's shop window and bought it new for £250 (which was a fortune to me back then) it's a quartz movement and I recently paid £500 to have the original mineral glass replaced (a million scratches) with a Sapphire Crystal and a new replacement original quartz movement from a vintage supplier. The bracelet is so worn it moves like liquid and the case carries the scars of six years worn in the Army and a further 24 years of work and holidays. I ended up owning a Rolex Daytona that was my 'Holy Grail Watch' for decades and that I always envisaged wearing for my daughter's Wedding. I never 'felt' it and sold it giving her the proceeds as a deposit on her house and walked her down the aisle wearing my old Seiko instead. That old watch was on my wrist before I met her mother and when we got married. I know all too well that a watch has soul... and that it is not always the watch that you'd choose that chooses you.
That's a great story, that Seiko chronograph sounds like it has so much character, so much history and like you say... soul! I'm happy to know others have had similar experiences. I wonder if it's harder to find this soul in newer mass produced watches, it can be found for sure, my mido was new - but not so easy as something with a story and history already? 🤔 When you feel this connection you just know. Thanks for the enjoyable read and here's to another 30 years service of your Seiko chronograph 🍻
Well shared indeed. My first was a Casio Edifice Chrono. White dialed, classy design n Very Comfy... I love that watch n wore it to bits... There's just something about it... It broke when I dropped it accidentally a year ago n it broke my heart... 💔 Been trying to repair it but to no avail... I've moved on to mechanical watches like Seiko, Orient, Tisell... But I still keep that little fella in my collection... Yes, you're both right... It has a soul... 💖 🤗 💯
If I had to pick a collection, or a single Rolex I also would go the former. Oyster Perpetual in tiffany blue for me is stunning. Also can't go wrong with the Pepsi or Batman. Air King is bit not iconic. Other Rolex more recognisable is probably why it got sold.
I bought a Rolex 6 years ago and sold it after a year, like yourself with no emotion, i didnt miss it at all. If you are into aviation try an iwc mark 18 or 20, ive got a mark 18 and ended up selling all my other watches, included an omega seamaster and tudor bb58.
I haven't owned an IWC yet...✈... but I have a huge soft spot for them and really I must say I am keen to experience them. Thanks for the reccomendations 🙂👍
The newer 2023 Air king seems to have quite a few refinements over the older model. Perhaps the new one might have been a keeper for you. I’m considering it or the new Explorer 40mm.
Nah, its still to close in the design language for a crown guard, a zero added to the 5 and thinner case for it to make that much of a difference 😂. At the end of the day, he'll still have a watch with the same DNA as the watch he didn't bond with. It's the overall design he didn't bond with, not like a few additions like zero or crown guard will make a difference lol.
Hard to be sure but I think it's fundamentally the same so I guess it'd be the same outcome, I do like the addition of the crown guards though on the updated version. Thank you both for the comments 🙂👍
I felt I had to have a Rolex to be a true watch enthusiast and didn't really like any of them. When Rolex revamped the Air-King a few years ago I thought that would be my one Rolex. I put it on at the ADs and felt so flaaaat I thought it looked shite. I said no thanks, and even took myself off the GMT-II Pepsi wait list. I just felt like Rolex is for douchebags and I am no longer buying into the hype. I love all my other watches but I'll never get a Rolex as they are just too overpriced anyway. The hype is dying down and they are losing their appeal. Maybe they will start to make good watches again. I hope so. I much preferred the Rolex of the late 90's - early 2000's. Modern Rolex is not great.
I haven't had a lot of hands on experience with new rolexes, mainly because of the shortage of stock and also because I don't want to reward a business model that makes you jump through hoops to get the 'desirable' pieces. That said I feel your sentiment is becoming more and more widespread....I do like the watches they're well made and nicely finished so I try and separate the object and material from the crypto bro types that were ramming them down everyone's throat on social media a couple of years ago, not always easy though 😂
Sadly no. I have the Submariner and want to swap it out for a Seamaster. Submariner is to me was a dream, but now I find it very bland. Each to their own.
I think after so many years of seeing so many submariner homages I've become a little bit numb to the design, I definitely don't desire one now but I respect it for what it is and think it's a lovely piece. I can see why it is loved all over the world. I really like the rhodium yachtmaster if I had to pick something 🙂 thanks both for the comments 🍻
That is exactly the type of comment that increases my desire to get rid of my Rolex. What is ‘a Rolex person?’ I really don’t think I want to be one anymore.
1. The modern Air King is butt ugly 2. I never understood the "making memories with a watch" thing. To me good memories and anything I happen to be wearing are largely separate. Same way I don't commemorate the socks and underwear I happen to wear on the day of the promotion
It's each to their own isn't it? I have some great memories tied with watches of holidays or events that make me smile same as I do with music and songs that bring back lovely memories - and I am grateful for these. I love association, but obviously you can't force it otherwise I'd still have the AK 😆
Can go both ways definitely 🙂👍 thanks for the comments 🍻

If you didn't gel with it, then you did the right thing to sell it. I have the latest version of the AK and couldn't be happier. It's my go to daily ahead of everything else and I never get tired of that unique dial. Just shows that until you actually get the watch on your wrist, you can never be sure......
I certainly appreciate your perspective here. I find myself wanting to go after this particular watch month after month, so I needed to hear these words! Seems to be such a great watch; however, I fear I’d feel the exact same way that you did towards it.
I experienced the same thing when I bought my Omega Planet Ocean. Sold it and now wear a Ginault OR2.
Very interesting video good to see someone be very Frank about their experience 👍
Thanks - my pleasure 🙂🍻
Love this content. As I’ve moved more through my collecting journey I’ve realized that some stuff you think is a grail ends up not working out, and other stuff you didn’t think you’d love, becomes your all time favorite. Long way of saying I’m now a speedy pro fan forever after spending a lot of money to figure that out lol!
Well said! 🍻
Did you just show a 126900 @ 1.45 ???
Mix of both references - have to be careful with copyright free images when creating UA-cam videos, so choices are limited. 👍
Great to hear this experience.
I think the Hamilton Frogman you have is the best Diver!! Great video, by the way
Haha I'm actually inclined to agree! Thank you for taking the time to watch, really appreciated 😎🍻
Thanks & good job. I wanted a Rolex Submariner for years. I never got one. Prices are crazy now. Rolex used to be a budget watch. They couldn't compete with quartz so they moved into the luxury niche. They are good at marketing. I think I'll stick with homage watches.
Tudor has become what Rolex once was I think - the watch you can save up for and actually buy 😅
I know this feeling too well.
Considering a replica Airking… That way I wouldn’t worry too much about daily wear
How about a nice homage? 👍
I think rolex is overrated. When you don't have one, you think, "I want one of those." When you get one, you think, "Meh, very average watch."
Maybe - although personally I've only owned one so I couldn't confirm or deny yet I'd need to try more 🙂
So true.
Spot on just got a gmt rootbeer amd alreadu thinking meh
Watches are like sneakers, i get tired of them too😆
You don't create memories for a watch or any inanimate object.
Watches.... sigh....I lusted over a Speedy... bought the 1861.... sold it...a year later bought it again as I realised I made a mistake
A few months later I sold it again
I think sometimes the watch just isn't what you dream about.
And it's time to move on
Currently my main watch is the Aqua Terra 2503.50.00...... who knows if the honey moon will last
We are all a little mad
P.s. i like what you said about connecting with the Mido more than your Airking....i have the same experience with loving my 5600e G shock more than most watches I've owned.
Thanks for the comments. Nice collection, the Sea Dweller is a cool piece too. 😎🍻
Ive get one on radar , I hope it works for me.
Same here!
I bought the air king too .. sad,y I had to sell it. But, I will buy it again 😏
I started with the 116900 thinking I only need one and nothing else.
Oh man was I wrong..
4 Rolex’s a couple of grand seikos and patek’s later.. Don’t get me wrong. I’m happy I got it. It’s just I can’t stop 😂
Yep it just never stops 😆
One More lesson...“It's not the destination, it's the journey”.😊
100% 🙌🙌
"Life is the hardest teacher... it gives the test first and the lesson afterwards" Sorry it didn't work out for you. BTW the aeroplane you flew in was a DH 82a Tiger moth. WW2 era trainer. Not WW1.
Exactly this 🙌 - my apologies for that, maybe I misheard the pilot when I thought it was used in WW1, thanks for the updated info 🙂👍
@nextonthewrist No apology required. I enjoyed your video. Hope you find the Grail one day...
I’m gonna to paraphrase this video for my next breakup, lol.
But seriously, very wise words!
Haha yep all been there outside the watch world with the same sentiment 😂
People give too much credit to Rolex. They sell millions of watches. Nothing extra special.
Definitely a large chunk of marketing genius over the brands history 🙂
@@nextonthewrist I don't see a lot of value.
it's what happens when you build something up in your head. you're invariably let down.
Perhaps so 🙂
Omega and the Dirty Dozen did way more for the RAF than Rolex. Get an Omega or Vertex.
Can't argue that fact 🙂
Rent before you buy. Try it out. Maybe it’s a “Yes,” maybe it’s a “No.”
Can you rent rolexes? I'm not sure I've seen this. 😅
Been trying to repair it but to no avail... I've moved on to mechanical watches like Seiko, Orient, Tisell...
But I still keep that little fella in my collection...
Yes, you're both right... It has a soul... 💖 🤗 💯
Aussie colors of green and gold (wattle tree)
i hate rolex but if i had to get one, it would be this model
If I had to pick a collection, or a single Rolex I also would go the former.
Oyster Perpetual in tiffany blue for me is stunning. Also can't go wrong with the Pepsi or Batman.
Air King is bit not iconic. Other Rolex more recognisable is probably why it got sold.
I think I am more drawn to other brands but I understand your points, I do like the yachtmaster and gmts. 🙂👍
How about Omega Diver 300 white dial as the centrepiece. Longines and Hamilton respectable rotations to the Diver.@@nextonthewrist
the happy ending is the one you get at the end of a thai massage bromigo
😆
I bought a Rolex 6 years ago and sold it after a year, like yourself with no emotion, i didnt miss it at all. If you are into aviation try an iwc mark 18 or 20, ive got a mark 18 and ended up selling all my other watches, included an omega seamaster and tudor bb58.
I haven't owned an IWC yet...✈... but I have a huge soft spot for them and really I must say I am keen to experience them. Thanks for the reccomendations 🙂👍
Be honest man you didn't got any compliments so you sold it
😂😂😂😂😂
Feel the same about my wife
😂
Rolex is good but not the hype
Not worth it
The hype is tiring yep
Time to get a Daytona
I'll join the list and get the call in 20 years on current wait times 😄
Submariner would have prevented this
That's because you are not a Rolex type of person
Maybe not 🙂
That is exactly the type of comment that increases my desire to get rid of my Rolex. What is ‘a Rolex person?’ I really don’t think I want to be one anymore.
@@hankspangle3867 what wearing a Rolex says about you = I am a bag of douche
1. The modern Air King is butt ugly
