Reef Noob thank you mate 👍 I’ve actually done it (I’m just a week behind on uploading the videos) so there will be an update coming through next week showing the move and a bit of an issue we had 🙈 thanks for the support pal 👍
Shane Henderson thanks Shane really appreciate it pal 👍 I’ve actually done the move I’m just a bit behind on the videos so there’ll be a moving video uploaded early next week 😊
curt thanks curt appreciate it mate 👍 just trying to do something honest based on my own experiences pal, it’s gone down better than I thought it would 😂 thank you for subbing tho pal there’ll be loads of stuff coming where I’m applying what I learnt from the 170 along with trying out some new kit and media 👍
@@ukreefer4907 All sounds good to me, mate! The vids look really slick. I've got a 170, myself, and am currently trying to feel my way through the hobby.....total novice, so I'm always on here soaking up info. I see that you're near Cov....have you been to Tee's Reef in Brum ? If not, check it out!
curt I’ve only been in just over 18 months - 2 years myself and by no means any form of expert but figured filming my ups and downs when I get chance will hopefully help others and they can comment and help me too (which is already working well 😊) I’m not far from Cov pal but never been to Tees reef, is that the guy who has the log shed as his fish room? Looks amazing if it is I’ve just never been but the Mrs gave me a great idea today. If I reach certain milestones on subscribers or views treat the tank to something 😊 so if I get to 200 there’ll be something nice going in 👍 next video will be mixing the reef foundation powders followed by either an update as we’ve sorted the sump out or possibly a new product we’re adding 👍
@@ukreefer4907 You've only been doing it for a couple of years?! Well, your tank is looking mint, mate! I'd take a trip over to Tee's if you get the chance. Like you said, it's like a giant shed in this bloke's back garden....it's crazy! Well, I'll look forward to you hitting the milestones. As I said, I'm very green, so am looking to take on as much info. as possible 👍
curt thanks mate really appreciate that 👍 I’ve just tried to watch as much as I can on here and research the products I’m using as much as I can pal 👍 I’ll definitely plan a trip to tees in in the new year 👍 there’s a few places i want to try and visit if I can but you’re definitely not the first to recommend tees place to me 😊 hoping to get some decent videos edited over the Christmas break, up and coming there’s the reef powder mixing, the diy lid and a maintenance video all about what I do on maintenance day 😊👍
carper reefer I’ll drop them on the Facebook page pal for uk reefer as I’ve got no idea how to post them on this 🙈 moves all done buddy just editing the video now to hopefully go live next week 👍 there was one mishap but In the grand scheme of things it could have been a lot worse 👍
Amazing tank! What's your take on nutrients? Do you keep them high or you use GFO or Nopox? Feeding wise (corals), besides Reef energy, do you spot feed corals with reef roids? Thanks in advance!
guille creus thanks guille appreciate the kind words pal 👍 I try and keep my nutrients as stable as possible. I keep nitrates at 5ppm and phosphate at 0.03. I do that by dosing 2.5ml of nopox a day, if the nitrates start to creep up I just up the nopox to 3ml. As the nitrates drop I then drop the nopox dose. I test phosphate once a week and if I notice anything creeping up I just add rowaphos in a media bag in the sump (no room for a reactor). I then dose the reef energy half an hour before the lights go out every day and that just keeps it all in check 😊 I also do the maintenance once a week and a 10% water change 👍
Nado hi pal, I’ve had the new tank stabilising for the last 2 months ready for the big move 👍 I’ve been so busy with work I’ve not had chance to get all of the footage edited and ready yet but the move was all completed last week 👍 the moving video will be coming this week I’m just finalising the content. We had one small mishap which I managed to save but look out for the video coming early next week 👍
Good luck with the move mate!

are you gonna leave the corals in the old one for a while to let the new tank stabilize or how are you gonna go about?
