@@swissreefer thanks for quick response. I read a lot about UV and it seems you took the right decision. Only use it for few days after introducing a new friend or to stop a problem from spreading (decease, algae...)
Hi! Amazing tank! For the reactor try a strip of growlight leds (red &blue from aliexprs) around the algae reactor. It seems yours is pretty poorly lit.

@Maj The Reefer hi Maj. Yes I do have a refugium with chaeto. Normally I add copepods to the sump and chaeto as well as to the bottom of the rocks in the display (and add phyto). For some odd reason he just doesent get fat. I'm trying to get him onto frozen at the moment. Let's hope that helps.
@Maj The Reefer I only have one other fish in the tank and its a clown. So prob not him. Good idea on the macro in display idea.. Ill try getting some Gracilaria and adding it to the main display. Or some of those corrugated sheets people use as pod hotels.

check out a magnetic frag rock. Its a nice way to have frags in the main tank

In the reefer 170 I used it 24/7... in my new tank I only use when needed :) hope this helps

What is the water level inside the skimmer chamber?
It's the default level from the Red Sea Reefer 170
How do you keep your mandarin fat and healthy. Mine is on the skinny side even though I add copepods to the system periodically.
I kind of trained him to eat frozen food... but he still picks everywhere the whole day ;) The algae spots in my display maybe help :p

Currently Triton (Other Methods)... But will be switching to Fauna Marin soon :p
