Great job brother! I'm a former mechanic but, it's been over 40 years, and Jags are a pain to deal with. You showed me what I need to know for my wife's Jag. Not as bad as I thought. Thx
THANK YOU MAN .I ACTUALLY HAD WORK DONE AND BROKE THE PLASTIC PIECE ON UPPER WATER HOSE AND THE MECHANIC AND ME COULDN'T FIGURE OUT THE HOSE SEQUENCE AND I HAD TO BUY A NEW HOSE .AND FROM YOUR VIDEO WE FIGURED OUT THE MISSING HOSE ..LOL YOU ACTUALLY SHOWED THE COMPLETE DISASSEMBLE OF THE HOSES WHICH IS PERFECT..THANKS
With the Workshop manual and this video I was able to successfully change my water pump! Thank you very much! I didn't have to remove the engine cover or the thermostat section of tubing, i was (blindly) able to reach the bottom mounting bolt on the pump after i removed the overflow tank.
Thanks for the helpful video. One thing that I'd like to add is that if you ever have to replace your radiator, replace your 20 year old water pump while you have everything wide open at the same time. Like an idiot, I didn't a while ago and two weeks after replacing the radiator, the water pump went out. I also found that removing the fan and fan shroud gives you plenty of room to deal with water pump and torque everything easily. Removing everything attached to the fan shroud and getting it out and back in is a lot easier the second time around too.

Yo bro i have a Jaguar S-Type 2006 is it normal from the fan to stay running when the car is running it doesn't shut off until I shut the vehicle down and stay running for a couple seconds and then shut off is that normal.
Howdy, Mr. Perez,, I saw somebody else mention Dallas; are you in the Dallas area and if so, if I supplied the part (the pump) what might you charge for this work on a 2005 S-type (3.0)?

@@MsMeme227 I am a technician and own one myself. 1st: you want to start the vehicle and let it warm up to operating temperature. 2nd: on the coolant reservoir there is a bleed valve that screws in and out with a Philips head screw driver. open it until coolant starts coming out but do not remove plug all the way. 3rd: squeeze hoses in order of going into engine and out or squeeze the farthest most hoses away from coolant reservoir up, until you reach coolant reservoir. 4th: let coolant bleed out for about 3-5 minutes. 5th: close the bleeder (not to tight it is made of plastic) 6th: top off coolant lost. 7th: let car cool and then restart the vehicle and let run. check temperature is good, if it lowers but not good repeat the steps. if it keeps overheating check to make sure thermostat starts opening at 190-198 degrees F and completely open at 216 degrees F (will need infrared gun). If everything checks out recheck hose replaced and make sure its on flush and not defective.

hello, my water pump recently is leaking and was wondering what is the best one to get for my jaguar s type 2004 6 cyl

Is this for the v6 or v8?
Benjamin Potts v6
I wish you can look at mine I'm in Dallas
Barney Hubble your car?
I don't think there was a need to remove engine plastic cover and filter cover , agree ?
I didn't need to remove the cover when I just did this. I did need magic to separate the hoses from the aluminum piping.
