Fixing a Damaged Clear Coat - Furniture Restoration

- In this video, I go through and completely strip then refinish an old handmade table made by a clients father. I have seen a few ways of doing a wiped on poly finish, and this just works for me. The old finish wasn't terrible, but signs that it had been sanded and recoated recently meant that the old stain was still visible in spots and areas had darkened due to over coating.

Hey folks. This is a new version of the video I uploaded the other day. Hopefully it has sorted all the sound issues, and apologies to any sore ears! Thanks for watching.
Probably looks better now than the day Dad made it!
If it is close to what it was then I am happy.
Thumbs. Great re-edit! Hope to see more complex projects in future :)
Thanks for the heads up with the old one! My next one is small but definitely a lot more complex.

Thank you!
very nice work, with great tips
I'm glad you liked it!
Nice.
Thanks!
I like the microscope parts
Me too. It's only a cheap one, but it's interesting to see everything up that close.
Nice job - came out well. Which part of QLD are you in (general - not specifics) Do you find the humidity causes things to take longer to dry?
I'm in south East Queensland, and yes, it caused havok on this job with the hide glue. Had to redo a couple of parts. Just needs to be left longer.
What would you charge for a restoration like the one in this video?
I'm not sure what a professional would charge, I think I just charged for materials. Might have been AUD $40.
