I absolutely agree, V3 felt like it was not only taking unnecessary stabs at the players, but also like it was trying to invalidate the messages in the trilogy. It would be like Ace Attorney making the Apollo Justice game show that Phoenix was hallucinating who he was in the first games and actually spent the entire trilogy using fake evidence to win the trials that we saw. We don't play murder mysteries because we like seeing the violence, we like the feeling of helping make things right, and going through puzzles to figure out good solutions.
